“I walked inside for lunch and I was greeted by 2 employees that were happy and positive. I ordered a pizza and checked out the impressive fishing section while I waited for my food. I had some small talk with the woman at the counter who told me the history of the store. I had a brief conversation with the owner who seems very genuine. I grabbed a couple lures and left with my pizza thinking to myself "you don't find many stores like this anymore". You're doing it right! Keep doing what you're doing.”
“A typical small-town grocery store. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Amazing deli selection. The deli hot food is really good. Sometimes, it sits too long and dries out, ask for placement times.”
“Still a great place to go. Normally places wear out as we as your welcome but me and my kids still love this place and the people. I have never had a bad experience here nor do I foresee one these people treat you more like family than customers and do their best to get you what you need. As long as they are open I will always go here no matter where life takes me in the future it's worth the extra jog even if I move out of the area.”
“Best gas prices in the Sparta and surrounding areas. They are way cheaper than Meijer and other gas stations in Cedar Springs as well as Sparta and Kent City. Staff are friendly enough.”
“Doing improvements due to changing ownership, already impressed. Almost always had to wait due to cashiers, now they have some self checkouts so no more waiting and they actually have 2 lanes open it seems most of the time! Great job!!”
“Best Dollar General or Dollar store period that I have EVER been to! Very clean and well organized. Lots of good stuff here. We bought some medicine and my son an MSU hat. We were just passing through the area, but if I was local I'd make this a regular stop for sure. Highly recommend checking this place out!”

They have called me when concerned about the cost of a medication and gone above and beyond by contacting my physician to find out if there could be a substitute at a better cost that my insurance might cover. I have been a long time customer and highly recommend family fare in Sparta!”
“This store has cleaned up a lot, instead of being cluttered with everything sitting in the isles not being crowded. I can shop much easier with the isles open and you can see what's on the shelves and how organized. Keep up the great job !!!!”
“My husband and I shop here multiple times a week, since we live close by. It sure beats having to drive to a bigger store and contend with crowds and long lines. They seem to carry everything we need except for fresh meat & produce. Otherwise, we have been buying nearly all of our groceries, paper goods, and cleaning products here for years. Most of the employees are friendly and personable. As for the aisles being crowded with boxes and carts -- I suspect that they are not given time to properly stock shelves as a sole job. The cashier has to run between manning the register and filling shelves. We are extremely happy to have this Dollar General close by.”

“This Dollar General I give them a thumbs up usually when the other Dollar Generals are out of something I can go to this one and they will have it there fast about putting stuff on their shelves”
