“As an athlete I need to be challenged — I’ve never been to a gym where I got that until I went to Legacy. The coaches are constantly pushing you in the best way and they check in consistently to make sure you are meeting your goals — they actually care. So glad I found this gym”
“Great atmosphere and people. I felt very welcomed and encouraged. The work out was adaptable to my strength and skill level. The instructor, Jessica, was supportive and attentive. Everyone attending the class was equally supportive. Great place to be for my first cross fit class.”
“Took my first free class today and was impressed by the customer service. I walked in and was greeted right away. Very clean environment. You go in the door on the side of the road and park at the parking lot right next door. The coach Tiffany was energetic and encouraging throughout the whole process. I guess each day is different. I like how they provide you with the full experience for your first free session. You arrive 30 mins early and they give you a run down of all the classes. The music is pumping and it’s a hitt workout basically non stop moving. Class went by so fast. I haven’t signed up yet because I’m figuring out what exercises I want to do. They even donate old sneakers here as well. I recommend wearing athletic shoes. There’s strength training, water rowing and treadmill. They do bingo, raffles and challenges.
I did ask about how cancelling works and if you want to cancel they need a 30 day notice.
You can activate a membership online or over the phone as well.
They have a 2 week promo if you want to try it out but i would recommend to cancel the day you sign up.
They have lots of classes and variety of time blocks. Some people even go twice a day!
To purchase a orange theory monitor it’s 120$ with one year warranty or 10$ a class to rent. In order to see your heart rate/calories you need one”

“The best gym in Michigan, along with the other body shop in grand rapids. it has a pullover machine, overhead triceps machine, a laying chest fly, vertical leg press, and like 5 different machine rows. built like a basement, wood paneled posing room, loads of bodybuilding history. membership is 200 a year, with a 10$ day pass. it doesn't get any better than this and I've been to most real gyms in Michigan.”

“I've been going here for training and gym work since 2021. The reason for that is that they keep it clean... They keep the equipment up.... They have have nutrition advice and workout plans.... The Don't have dirty floors.... They Don't have a bunch of grunting idiots all over the gym... They have security for members.... They aren't packed to the gills where you can't get in a good workout.... And I can go 24/7 365! It's also not expensive and I can use Anytime anywhere when I travel.
I recently saw some idiot posting that he was upset that a day pass is $10 good for your enrollment. It motivated me to post that this place is the best in the area. It's under $45 and it's worth it for a good atmosphere and good equipment and good advice. Stop shopping and join. If all you have is $10 then go to Planet. Just don't berate this place for being top notch.”
“This is a very nice facility, easy access with free parking garage for patients!! If you’re a Detroit sports fan there are some very cool things displayed here also!!”

“These individuals are kind and knowledgeable about their work. The owner treated me exceptionally well after I had a negative experience elsewhere. He took the time to address all my inquiries, and the pricing was quite accommodating. He matched me with an excellent trainer. I won't disclose my trainer's name, but I plan to continue training here for an extended period. I highly recommend that anyone interested in boxing stop by; these people truly understand their craft. They have extensive experience in boxing and have trained numerous professional boxers. Consider this place as your primary destination for boxing training. Wish I can give 10 stars”

“Before joining The Fighting Fit I had bounced around gyms and lied to myself that I was making progress. This place is truly special. All of the coaches truly care and make sure your form is correct to help you avoid injury. I always say nothing I do the rest of the day will be harder than the workout I get at TFF, and that has honestly helped me in all aspects of life. If you are in an exercise rut and are looking for something that is both challenging and fun, check out The Fighting Fit!”

“8/4/2025 5*
I only started about a month and a half ago, but I've had experience with other boxes before, and this one takes the cake. In this past month, I've tried to meet as many coaches as I could and attended a variety of time slots to get to know the other athletes. Every one of them is good people.
Programming is awesome and challenging.
Coaches are aligned yet offer a variety of coaching styles (all of which I appreciate for different reasons), and injury prevention is shown to be a priority through both programming via thoughtful post-MetCon exercises and the coaches' quick critical thinking for scaling, empathy for knowing how we'll probably want to push ourselves further than we should, and encouragement for when we might have to do less than we want. Additionally, I'm seeing a lot of HWPO-type programming, and Mat Fraser is no-joke one of my heroes. Coaching and programming strongly exceeded my expectations. 5*
Facility is very clean and the equipment is all in good working condition.
For a smaller, local box (as opposed to those giant facility ones), I was surprised to find an AssaultRunner, SkiERG, and GHD as well as stocked showers. At least three ropes! At least two high ring pairs! Aesthetic is pretty cool to me. North and East facing windows are perfect for catching that sunrise and not baking in the evening. Facility and equipment exceeded my expectations. 4*
Classes and fitness community are great vibes.
I know that this is not entirely within the business's control, but I would be remiss not to mention the culture that they have shaped here. All the other athletes are encouraging and friendly. People seem to care about one another, and I truly felt welcomed without any judgment. From jumping between different classes at different times, both the coaches and the other athletes really make it hard for me to choose a favorite class to attend, which is really a good sign imho. Classes and fitness community greatly exceeded my expectations 5*
Extra Credit: Ethical Business Practice and Community
As much as a I am intrigued to see state-of-the-art super-facilities with all the latest tech on a massive scale, I will almost always prefer the smaller local business that both knows the community it's born in and also continuously gives back to that community. I came to this box knowing from its mission statement online that it was an inclusive space and, from its instagram, that it supports a diverse group of athletes. I later learned about how much it gives back to the community with its accessible CrossFit Kids program and donations it puts forth for the nearby school all while shaping our next generation to be upstanding empathic individuals. Additionally, as a member of the LGBTQ community, it mattered immensely to see that they still did an OUTWOD and contributed to protecting LGBTQ members and LGBTQ youth. This is a large part of why I feel safe in this gym. Core City Crossfit also offers a SoberWOD that I believe is free, and while I have not attended, I strongly believe there is immense value to this program and, to be frank, its mere existence has subconsciously already shifted my alcohol intake to much healthier habits; not even my doctor has been able to make such a noticeable difference. Bahaha! Lastly, I don't know if this gets much recognition, but this box has a monthly email newsletter that I actually read through and thoroughly enjoy. That's just a me-thing, but I love it. Ethical Business Practice and Community greatly greatly exceeded my expectations +5*
Overall 5* Thanks, y'all! <3”

“Had Jason's bootcamp today, and i feel soo good. His classes are always challenging and fun. He really knows how to motivate you and keep you pushing. I highly recommend this place!”
“Hands down love coming to the place me and my wife are here at least 4-5 times a week and it’s amazing. Austin is hands down the most respectful worker I have ever seen and we appreciate all he does. Keep up the great work”

“I joined F3 in November to try something new to my gym routine, as well as maintain my body and grow my strength since my job is very physical. I booked a personal training session with Garrin so I knew what I was doing (esp in the 3 main lifts). I’m very observant and have anxiety when it comes to stepping into new places. This gym immediately made me feel welcomed. Garrin is very warm and kind. He made no assumptions or judgments, which is what I disliked about a lot of people in the fitness world. He asks questions, and educates you. The people there have been nice too. You can ask someone to help and they’ll happily help. I prefer going in at slower times. They also have a little somewhat private room with kettlebells and a punching bag. That’s super nice since I like practicing boxing for cardio.
Probably the best gym if you’re serious about weightlifting and want to get into powerlifting!”
