“This is my secret bread place... no one knows that I save a fortune. Great products even better prices.
Big parties.. or just 1 loaf of great bread.. it's worth the trip.”
“One of the oldest grocery stores in niles. Great employees. Store is an older building yet very well kept. Wish they would bring back the meat market. Prices same or better than the other stores. Has much better more personal service.”
“It is a place for quick shopping when you don't want to go to a big store, many things are cheap and you can find everything from makeup to cleaning supplies.”
“Very clean compared with other dollar generals in the area employees are quite nice the store stays very well stocked if I had a complaint it's that the lines can get pretty long when there unloading truck but that's understandable since there on a time limit the manager is fair check out is quick and efficient it's nice place if quite busy”
“This new store, north of Niles on the corner of Old Walton Road and Old U.S. 31, is right on the way to the golf course, which I visit daily (weather pending), making it the perfect place to pick up water and snacks for the course. The ladies working there have been courteous and pleasant and have put up admirably with my shopping "like a guy" techniques and accompanying endless chatter. I'll be a regular during golf weather. The store itself is clean and well-organized. All in all, an excellent shopping experience.”
“Great spot to grab a couple of things on your way. Not the biggest selection but more than enough to get by. Staff is stellar and even when it's busy, im never there too long. Wish the city would let them sell beer too, but thats not the store's fault. By far the store i shop at most here in niles. I couldn't be more pleased with my trips here, the interactions with staff or the products i've purchased here. 5 stars all around!”
“I love Martin's pharmacy in Niles, they always go out their way to help you or answer your questions. They explain things well. They remember your name and who your family members are. I just love this pharmacy.”
“Terrence is a National Treasure!
Today, I walked into Dollar General expecting a quick errand and left feeling like I had just experienced the Disney World of discount shopping — all thanks to one man: Terrence.
From the moment I walked in, Terrence greeted me with a smile so bright it could have powered the entire store if the lights went out. His voice carried the perfect balance of enthusiasm and authority, like a game show host who’s also your best friend. Within seconds, I knew I was in the presence of customer service royalty.
I asked where the cleaning supplies were — Terrence didn’t just point. No, he personally escorted me to the aisle as if I were a VIP guest at a luxury resort, narrating the journey with product recommendations worthy of a professional TV commercial. At one point, I swear a heavenly beam of light shone down on him as he handed me the perfect bottle of glass cleaner.
When I reached the register, Terrence rang me up with speed and precision that would make a NASCAR pit crew jealous. He double-bagged my items without me even asking — a small gesture that made me feel truly understood as a human being. As I walked out, Terrence bid me farewell with such warmth, I half expected him to wave a white handkerchief and shout, “Safe travels, my friend!”
If the employee of the month award doesn’t go to Terrence, I demand they rename the entire Dollar General in his honor. I’ll be telling my grandchildren about this shopping trip.
Thank you, Terrence, for turning my mundane errand into a legendary memory.”
“I've been avoiding people, any chance I get. I am thankful for the curbside service. I ordered my groceries, Nicole did a great job at shopping for my groceries. I was sure to leave her a tip. Bananas were picked as specified by me. Thank you Nicole and Martin's S. 11th staff.”
“I'm from South Bend, IN and stopped at this Walmart. Best Walmart I've been to. The staff and customers were friendly and went out of their to help us. I was so caught off guard because I'm so used to the opposite and hateful attitudes in my town. This definitely cemented my choice to move into Michigan. Such nice people.”
“Huge selection!!...this is a local business that supports other small businesses and farms...the staff was great...one stop shop for local berries and produce...a true gem”
