“My go to grocery store! I have been shopping almost exclusively at Trader Joe’s since I moved out of my parents house. I adore the limited selection of products and simple layout compared to regular grocery stores. They do have very overpriced meats that are subpar in general- so I go elsewhere for that. But everything else is my favorite here. Very good customer service too! If you have your hands full with kids they always offer to help me shop and bring my groceries to the car. And just a very positive and upbeat attitude when you talk to anyone here- nation wide. I’ve never had a bad experience with a Trader Joe’s employee.”

“I have been going to verellens for so many years! Love their apples, pies, produce and donuts! Staff is friendly and nice to me every time I go there when I order 3 dozen donuts once in a while!”
“They have an large variety of spanish and latin American ingredients in the grocery section (I wish they weren’t so pricey)
What I like the most are the fresh made tortillas, free of preservatives and soft.

“Every time I visit Fresh Thyme, I leave in a better mood thanks to Dedra. There’s an energy about the way she greets and helps customers, it’s genuine, bright, and contagious. Her smile feels like a little gem that lights up the whole store. She always takes the initiative to say hello and offer help, and that kind of warmth is rare these days.
And Christian deserves a special mention too. His kindness, precision, and quick support whenever I need assistance make every visit smooth and enjoyable. It’s people like Dedra and Christian who make Fresh Thyme such a pleasant place to shop. Thank you both for the great service!

I live near Fresh Thyme and often stop by, but recently this place got a new kind of bread, light, thin, and square, and it’s absolutely delicious. I find myself coming here more often just because of that bread!
The other day, I couldn’t find it, so I asked Carla for help. She was so warm and kind, and thanks to her, I ended up having such a lovely dinner. I didn’t even explain it well, but somehow she knew exactly what I meant, she’s amazing!

“It's now my favorite store. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store has a variety of brands you don't find elsewhere. There's also a lot of local Farm choices. It has a great selection and does not feel claustrophobic like some of the other stores. Very well organized with every label facing forward.”
“I like GFS when you're looking for restaurant quality Steph especially frozen meals or something in that nature larger for bigger families or for people that like to eat more. When I worked in restaurants when I was younger we were from GFS. So I just kind of got in the habit to always go there and get used to the quality food that comes from there. I'll make a lot of homemade pizzas personally I get a lot of stuff from there pepperonis or cheese or what have you real easy.”

“My neighbor used Sheena’s deli food for their grad party last year and recommended them to us. We had a grad party yesterday and ordered 4 fruit trays, 3 meat & cheese trays, 4 veggie trays, and 5 trays of Mack n cheese. The food was outstanding!! The fruit was super fresh and tasty and I had asked for strawberries if they could, and they added the tastiest strawberries for us. The veggies were very fresh and perfectly cut up bite sized chunks. They gave us a beautiful variety of fresh meat and cheeses. You can tell that they put a lot of time and effort in picking out the freshest foods and cutting everything up so nicely —for a beautiful presentation. And our guests devoured the Mack n cheese. Everyone there was so helpful and friendly—-from placing the order to when my husband picked everything up, they were so friendly. We will definitely go back and we highly recommend Sheena’s for your next party!!!”

“Great produce. Super fresh and extensive. Wonderful selection of gourmet items. Enormous prepared foods counter and bakery. They always have whatever I'm looking for. The one drawback is that the rest of the store (from the center to the North end) is laid out strangely so it's difficult to maneuver their diagonal aisles in the grocery section and getting to the checkout lanes honestly. This has been a problem since they opened in this location and hasn't ever been remedied.”
“Plenty of parking, spacious inside, and appears well-staff. Three locations remain (far apart) and there are no West side sites (Wayne county zip codes). For your convenience, restaurants and the post office on South Blvd. are nearby!”

“I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at this grocery store, the cashier is extremely warm and friendly. In certain situations, they’ve even kept the store open beyond normal business hours upon request. The price is reasonable and the new renovation is nice. If they could add to their collection of fresh vegetables and fruits it would be great.”

“I decided to check this DG upgraded market that previously had been a RiteAid pharmacy. I'm a relatively new resident of Pontiac after living most of my teenage and adult life in Royal Oak, MI. It has many highly regarded brand named grocery items throughout this one of more coming concept GD stores.
They have better HBA frozen, fresh food as well as fruits! If was a quick stop. I went to investigate this place and came out taken aback how modern this place is. There wasn't any lines when I visited.”

“I went in people's food market, when I was about 12 or 13, this lady named Mary she was beautiful Irish red head, thinking when she saw me, she was going to throw me out but she didn't ask me if she could help me. The store was clean and stocked like you could live there . I needed some cambles soup, I got it.
30 years I go really looking for Mary. She's in heaven . But the store is still just as clean and stocked. And it's family owed and ran. Stop by and see for yourself.”
“THE place to go in Pontiac for produce! They have everything - including fresh sugar cane stalks - and multiple varieties of all fresh fruits and veggies. If they don't have it, it's probably not in season anywhere and you shouldn't buy it anyways. Also an excellent well stocked general store. The Mexican butcher is dedicated to his craft, loves his family, and is proud to be American! All the meat is very fresh without any preservatives. And if you love honey like I do, look no further because this place has at least 20 different options! I now love the whole comb varieties myself, thanks to them... and they had several!”

“I’ve gotten Byrek here a couple of times and it’s the best I have ever had. It reminds me of back home. They’re light and fluffy and the taste is amazing.
I’ve tired the olives and goat cheese here as well and wasn’t disappointed at all. The store is very nice and clean.”

“Great & Amazing Staff! I’ve been going here for a Good Few year’s now & I’ve been noticing Lot’s of New Items on the Shelves. This Store has just about everything you need for a Last Minute Grab in Town. The Staff is Polite & Very Outgoing. They have a Recently New Staff Member (John) I think his Name was an he’s a Stock Guy n he was Very Helpful of my Finding’s n Very Respectful Attitude. When I had first come inside the store Last week I noticed a Customer who was Very High Rate, Annoyed with something or Bothered. The way he De Escalated the Issue down to a Calmer Level is beyond me, he was Patient, Calm, an made sure the Customer left Happy. I’m not sure who the Manager of this Establishment is, but they are doing an Outstanding Job in the way they’re Training there Staff. Definitely will be my New Regular Spot Daily n much more then my Usual Stop Ins. Great Place!”
