“Go here to spice things up when you need a specific ingredient or just some inspiration! If you love to cook, they have all the specialty items and basics you could possibly want or need. Excellent selection of spices, teas, and snacks. A true hidden gem, especially for fresh-frozen whole fish like red snapper! I found a niche curry here that I've been trying to replicate for years to no avail. I will be back and update this review with photos.”
“Like their baked goods. It’s a small selection, snd refrigerated. But they are different than what you get at the other middle eastern markets. Very handy location near my house. But it is right off I-75 and Square Lake. Easy to get off and back on the highway if just driving by”

“I decided to check this DG upgraded market that previously had been a RiteAid pharmacy. I'm a relatively new resident of Pontiac after living most of my teenage and adult life in Royal Oak, MI. It has many highly regarded brand named grocery items throughout this one of more coming concept GD stores.
They have better HBA frozen, fresh food as well as fruits! If was a quick stop. I went to investigate this place and came out taken aback how modern this place is. There wasn't any lines when I visited.”

“I went in people's food market, when I was about 12 or 13, this lady named Mary she was beautiful Irish red head, thinking when she saw me, she was going to throw me out but she didn't ask me if she could help me. The store was clean and stocked like you could live there . I needed some cambles soup, I got it.
30 years I go really looking for Mary. She's in heaven . But the store is still just as clean and stocked. And it's family owed and ran. Stop by and see for yourself.”
“Great store with great prices! Eggs are under $3 a dozen which is a great find these days. This is my go to store for those last minute essentials like milk, eggs, bread. I don't typically do all my shopping here but when I do stop in I'm always pleasantly surprised by the prices!”

“THE place to go in Pontiac for produce! They have everything - including fresh sugar cane stalks - and multiple varieties of all fresh fruits and veggies. If they don't have it, it's probably not in season anywhere and you shouldn't buy it anyways. Also an excellent well stocked general store. The Mexican butcher is dedicated to his craft, loves his family, and is proud to be American! All the meat is very fresh without any preservatives. And if you love honey like I do, look no further because this place has at least 20 different options! I now love the whole comb varieties myself, thanks to them... and they had several!”
“Well stocked. Excellent prices. Convenient location. Staff is dedicated and kind. One of the only grocery stores in town where the shelf prices and listed deals match what you actually pay at the register. Fresh produce is lacking, but they can't waste money stocking perishables that won't sell... That's how they keep prices on everything else low. When it comes meat though, you'll find some of the best selection and quality in the city here!”

“I came to the store to get ice and ended up leaving my wallet. For over 24 hours I thought it was in my purse until I went to another store.... the next evening. I back tracked and thought maybe I left it there after searching my car and my home and car again... You know how it goes lol. I walked in and the owner was there, I asked and at 1st he said no. I told him u weren't here he said it was my son. His eyes met on a shelf and there it was my Coach wallet, my ID and credt cards were there, nothing was amiss! I want to thank him or the woman working that night, It could've gotten into the wrong hands and no telling what could've happened! It's people like you that makes the world a better place. “I grew up in this area so I may be a little bias. Lol naw but even recently I went here and a young guy slide in front it me and tried to grab something quick and the guy behind the counter let him know he had to wait his turn and that was very stellar of him. A lot of stores would have gone on ahead and helped him. But this guy wasn't having it!”

“The manager at this store is the whole reason why I go there, he actually does a good job and he's not rude. Everybody there is nice unlike the horrible location on University drive and the one on Walton boulevard.. now those two stores should be avoided at all costs and are being ran by hoodrats. I live behind the Dollar general on University and I still choose to drive all the way to this one because it's that much better and you don't have to deal with any drug dealing and these people treating it like it's their own hangout instead of a workplace”
“Christmas Eve day I went over to the store to get a few things more like 2:00. It was a young lady that working there. She was all alone She had like 10 people in front of me and 10 or 15 behind me. She was pleasant. Smile on her face. Amazing attitude. I'd would have lost my mind whatsoever Hired her you're not paying her enough. I wish I knew her name. She had dark hair and glasses but she was so pleasant and so patient never once lost her cool. I love the new management and I love your new staff, especially this young lady. I wish I'd have gotten her name
It was under different management before or so we quit going there. Now we're back

What I like the most are the fresh made tortillas, free of preservatives and soft.
The Carnitas tacos are amazing, the flavor is so authentic!”
