“Storefront with big red awning next to Sushi Town is the old location. When you pull in, if you don't see a door that says Jack's Hardware at 2401, drive around the back of the building, and there you will find the entrance next to some red welcome banners and propane tank cage.
Jack's Hardware came up when we were looking for a nearby shop to get some odds and ends to help us settle into our new home. Boy, am I glad we stopped here first. The gentleman working was beyond helpful, and we found everything on our list and then some! I was impressed with the variety and organization. Key copy services, a small garden section, light bulbs, bug traps/perimeter sprays, different sized locks for bikes or storage units, cleaning products, fire extinguishers, nuts and bolts and screws galore, you name it. We will definitely be back!
For the UofM parents, dare I say the glowing review from a UofM Parent a couple years back still rings true? This hidden gem of small business deserves it's praise and deserves the patrons to help keep the magic of Ann Arbor's small businesses alive!”

“Super helpful staff, place is in a great location in Ann Arbor without having to go all the way to Home Depot, and it's got all the stuff we need! They also have machines for rental at good prices. We've rented a brush mower, stump grinder, and Bobcat front loader. All worked great! Convenient thing is that they can deliver at a reasonable price, which eliminates the need for you to rent a truck and trailer.”

“I can’t say enough good things about this Ace Hardware! I came in completely frustrated after buying a crib on Facebook Marketplace that I just could not get assembled correctly. Shawna went above and beyond to help me. She was incredibly kind, patient, knowledgeable, and determined to figure it out. She and the team put in so much effort (and strength!) to get everything working perfectly.
Not only did Shawna completely fix the crib, but she also sent me home with extra parts to keep on hand in case I ever run into another issue. That level of customer service is so rare these days, and it truly made my day. Thanks to her, my daughter has a safe crib to sleep in tonight and I was able to brag to my husband about getting the job done!

“James is always incredibly helpful if you’re in the market for any equipment. I bought a excavator from him a couple years ago and recently I’ve been looking for a tractor, I stopped in to talk to him about some prices, and he was able to get me the tractor shipped in three days, for 2500$ cheaper than I could find it anywhere else. “I run a light industrial shop down the road from this place. In the middle of a rush job on a Friday afternoon, a critical motor in my shop failed and I had that sinking feeling that comes before a long and painful wait for parts. To my surprise these guys had my replacement motor in stock for cheaper than I could find it online. Within a half hour I was back up and running. This is now my electric motor source. Thanks guys!”

“The products they carry are a step up from the lowest price and quality. I trust the products here to be reliable and durable. They are just slightly more expensive than their major competitors, but the quality of the products they sell also seems to be a notch above the others as well.The product selection for lawnmower parts had everything I needed. They seem to have most of the parts that any old fashioned, neighborhood hardware store carries in this category.I researched prices and features for multi-position ladders, and found that Lowe's had the specific model I wanted, and they also had the best price on it. The best part is that I could get it in person, as opposed to having to order it and wait for it to be shipped. It seems to me that Lowe's is a good place to shop, even if it usually isn't the absolute least expensive option.I looked around various garden stores for outdoor plants and ultimately couldn't find what I wanted until I went to Lowe's. They had the types of plants I wanted and they looked healthier than what the competition was offering.They recently had many good options for an electrical timer that their competitors seemed to have no good offerings for.”

“Bouncing my star rating up again because I've had a lot of success with Lowe's so far this summer. From picking up to some really lovely flowers and hanging baskets for my garden this year to getting supplies I needed for a DIY container water garden/pond I've had a lot of luck here. They don't have a HUGE selection of water garden/pond stuff but I was able to find about 5 water plants (lilies, irses, and cattails) plus a small pump, a huge half Jack Daniel's whiskey barrel and liner for the container itself, and the piping and hardware I needed to put it all together. In the end I was really pleased with how it turned out. Plus, having this Lowe's with longer hours just up the street to run up to is super convenient. More than once I had I needed to head back up there to get a different size pipe or other item to make the water feature work and it was so nice they were open later so I could do that. And everyone here was very helpful to boot.”
“I went to Lowe's today to grab wood to build a garden bed. Stephen and Rosa were beyond helpful and knowledgeable. Not only that but incredibly friendly, compassionate, and kind as I had my 1.5 year old daughter with me. Rosa held my daughter's hand as I pushed the flatbed cart down the aisle. The cashier's offered to push my cart and check out my items for me while I held my daughter who was ready for lunch and nap. I pulled my car up front and Adam helped me load my car up which made things easier for this momma is solo parents during the day.”
