The price on some items are over price but because this is a mom and pop shop the community is willing to spend here. I would recommend getting the blue crab and vegetable. “The Grove Kosher Market in Southfield, Michigan has no lack of kosher food choices. It is a one stop shop for all your kosher food needs.
The employees are pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking. The best plastic bags of any store I’ve shopped.
Yes the prices are high. I was on vacation so it was a bargain compared to eating out. If I was a local I would likely comparison shop.
Edit: I was just at Grove again Purim 2025. Again the selection at this store is phenomenal. Freeze dried Estog, Krembo and Achva Halvah from Israel (my favorite) just to name a few. There in store bakery goods and ready made products are high quality and delicious. I could go on and on.
However and this is a big however: their prices are shockingly high, even for kosher food. I don’t know how folks can afford to shop there on a regular basis. I would hope the owners do something for members of the community who have a tight food budget.”

“My recent visit to Dollar General on 11 Mile Road in Southfield was fantastic! I initially came in looking for folders, but I stumbled upon some amazing grocery items as well. I was thrilled to find flavored coffee creamer that would have cost me three times as much at a traditional grocery store. The selection was great, and the prices were unbeatable! I'll definitely be returning for both my office supplies and groceries.”
“The staff are very nice here! The aisles are clean and organized. A bit more pricey for a lot of the items compared to Walmart or Meijer, but it’s really good if you need to get some quick shopping done. Usually you will find items on sale for a good price though, 100% worth it!”

“I'm a long time satisfied Meijer customer because of fresh produce, friendly staff, and store cleanliness. The only problem is the
online shopping app for pickup and delivery. The app for iPhone, sometimes is not loading properly and to try again or retry back later we're working on it. I'm forced to use my tablet for online shopping for order pickup. Please fix the iOS app.”
“I do NOT like the reviews that I am reading, but I never had a bad experience shopping there several times in 2020. I am vegan so it was mainly for water and canned items. It is no Whole Foods, Kroger, or Target-but I am done with Target and trying to boycott Whole Foods/Amazon. I can agree that the cashiers did want you to move fast, but I was always apologetic if I was slow for whatever reason and they were cool-but I was also very apologetic ??♀️”
“Kudos to the manager, Corey Canty and Susan in HBA for making sure I had what I needed and answered my questions thoroughly.
BTW: Bring back your copy/print services at the customer service desk!! I had to go to another chain only for the store hours since it is a Sunday.
I would have much rather saved a few bucks and printed it off at the store while I was getting my paper towels and such!

“Are you kidding me with this place? Saw it while I was driving home from a Detroit Tiger’s game and laughed at the name. Googled it and saw what it was!!! A few weeks later I finally made the trip out and spent close to $200 and everything was amazing. If it wasn’t so far I would have gone back the next day. The staff is nice, the selection is amazing, and the quality of the prepared in house dishes was excellent. I will recommend to everyone in search of delicious Korean and other Asian goods.”
