“Dollar general is a growing store as around the US but if you have gone in one you have gone in all of them. They all look the same more or less and have the same products and prices. This particular one is always nice and clean, nothing ever seems to run out and the employees have always been helpful and nice!”

“We enjoy Aldi more than before thanks to not having to wait in line forever. Prior to the store adding several self checkout lanes, there were times that the wait in line was just as long as it took to shop. Thanks for the upgrades.”
“Really old store. But they keep it clean. Reminds me of the old east side kroger. Prices are okay. No self checkouts which sometimes can cause problems if it's busy. Some employees get annoyed if you use EBT cards (I do sometimes for someone I take care of). Plus side here is that Polly's is local, has alot of carts, bottle return, good produce and stock.
Parnell Rd store has selfcheckouts and it's been proven to make lines go faster. Please please Please give this store and vandercook self checkout. It needs to be done!”

“One can only imagine what it was like in Europe in the old days, where people went to the market, to buy foods a few times a week, as well as socializing with friends, neighbors, and children's parents. Covid has done a lot towards keeping us isolated. A repose from sitting and watching TV, is a run up to Polly's for Deli Lunchmeat, cheeses, Ora fresh baked cake. During my girls childhood, for 20 years I always ordered their birthday Cakes from Polly's, on Ferguson Road. What was so special? One could order Disney Characters on the cake, my daughter's favorite photo, a creamy whipped topping that wasn't terribly sweet. Much of the rest of the store allotted space for new or traditional world wide cuisine. It always had unique items. My younger daughter, whilst in her teens, refused to eat sandwiches without sprouts. Polly's, had them when no one else did. What more can I say? The best thing is to get off the couch in this icy cold weather, and take a trip to one of three Polly's locations.”

“FOURTH REQUEST - 02/20/2024Interesting I visited your fine store today, obviously in spite of your incredibly incompetent General Management the store is the finest I have ever had the misfortune to set foot in.In deed it is one with the most obvious display of pride in their job and employment I have seen. I live in rural Michigan and they are everywhere here. I was a 26 year Management person for UPS with experience in operations, customer service, sales, sales management, and security. I have done hundreds of inspections or audits. I assumed they were getting ready for an inspection or audit. She said no, she had just had one. I said well I am sure you did outstanding on it. She said no we were the worst in the county. Having spent more time out of operations than in operations I observed a lot of different management styles. This one is not one I particularly admired. There is no way this store made all of those improvements in one week. No way at all. This is a caustic management style that causes issues for the manager and the whole team. I hope he gets some coaching as this is certainly a teachable moment.”
“I stopped into dollar general tonight and was greeted with the most welcoming smile and greeting from Desire she is a wonderful edition to this location and I hope she receives the recognition she deserves between her Brooklyn, Courtney, and the guy night key holder (I didn’t get his name I just will get it and edit him in) make Parma D.G Thrive but Desire is a true Gem and Brooklyn and Courtney were excellent coworkers keep up the good work. “Since the remodel, it is very cramped and it difficult to find what you’re looking for. There are also a lot of carts and broken down boxes in the middle of a few aisles which make it even more difficult to navigate around the store. Other than that, I’ve been coming here since it was built and it’s very convenient”

“In and out didn't have what I was looking for but most definitely was neater and cleaner than Horton or Parma. Maybe it was the times and days I visited the others. I try to avoid peak times. They did have something I wanted that the others didn't have but wasn't on the Chriistmas list, so I will be back.”
“Not every dollar general is the same. I will say that have more on the shelves than others do. The bigger ones have more items than the smaller ones but prices are the same. The staff is still the same nice and helpful.”

“This is the pharmacy in Jackson you can speak with on the phone to resolve any issues you have with perscripritions. They take time to make themselves available to you even if you have a question unrelated to a medication they dispensed. Their help is so appreciated!”

“I have loved this Kroger since it was my first job, in high school. Ever since the Pandemic, we have kept with the grocery pickup. There is one individual who always asks about coupons, shares the substitutions, and does a solid job all around.
Today, we went to pick up almost $200 of groceries this morning and were sadly disappointed with our experience. We did not have our usual guy, and had a weird experience. He came out to our spot, asked where we wanted the groceries, loaded them in the bed of our truck, and left. We weren’t sure if he was coming back or not, but waited roughly 10 minutes before making the departure home. When arrived to unpack our groceries, we were shocked to see half of our items were missing from the order.
I quickly called the store and asked if they had a remedy other than requesting a refund on the mobile app. Brian was one of the most kind and genuine people I’ve ever dealt with! He asked when we would be available and assured me that he had picked out our order himself, so he knew the items SHOULD have been with the rest. We arrived at 4:30 and Brian promptly met us with our missing items as well as a $20 gift card to help remedy the situation.
It’s hard to find places that take care of their customers, let alone a “grocery store/fuel center.” Perhaps is it my slightly biased opinion from shopping here for 10+ years, but if you are coming through town and need ANYTHING. - this is a place you’re always welcome to call home.”
