“I have to tip my hat to the latest owner and operator of Goddard liquor store. There has been 2 other owners since I started shopping there as a kid and the previous owner was great and will always be remembered and loved by the neighborhood but I must say the neighborhood is lucky to have gotten the new owner. He cares not only about the service being A1 but also the store and the products being tip top. The store has tremendously improved on all aspects over the last 7 to 8 months. I've been shopping at this store since I was 14 years old and this is the best version it's ever been. Clean updated and new items coming in every week. Top selection of liquors as a liquor store should have. I recommend you come check it out for yourself if you're someone who quit coming after old man Sam retired, I'd bet you would be pleasantly surprised to see how much it has improved. The 2 employees I met were excellent and very friendly and I believe the younger guy was there for years as well and I received nothing but great service from them unlike the sunglass wearing guy that is no longer there anymore I believe. Don't take my word for it tho go see for yourself or don't. THANKS Samir for making my neighborhood store way better then anyone thought possible.”

“I would like to personally thank the store owner/worker for going over and beyond the heart felt customer service that was provided to me and my sister on Friday 10/25 around 4pm. We travelled 45 minutes from where we live to attend a party. Royal’s Liquor Market was our store of choice to stop and play our lottery and purchase our Spirits for the event. We were treated with such kindness and appreciation from him. Something that we’ve never ever experienced even at the store in our own neighborhood where we live and shop at on a Daily basis. “This is hands down one of the best liquor stores in Taylor. DJ, the owner, does an amazing job running the place and it really shows. Every time I come in, I’m greeted with a friendly attitude and people who actually want to help, not just ring you up and move on.
The selection is great no matter what you’re looking for—beer, wine, liquor, or something a little harder to find. If they don’t have what you want, they’re always willing to make recommendations or let you know when something might be coming in. The store is clean, organized, and easy to shop, which I really appreciate.
What sets this place apart is the customer service. DJ clearly takes pride in his store and treats customers like regulars, even if it’s your first time there. Prices are fair, the staff is knowledgeable, and the overall vibe is welcoming.
