We are more in the budget range for used skis but despite saying this the worker was kind in answering all our questions. The worker even gave me a ski boot fitting to gauge a boot size in the future. I forgot to ask the name of the man but he has a nice pair of reading specs & in his younger days loved long skis !”

“My mother and I attended a 2-day fly fishing class this past weekend through Streamside Orvis. We were both beginners and the classroom, hands-on instruction and Boardman River excursion were great. Our instructors Jim (Lead), Tyler and Mike were extremely knowledgeable, humorous and patient. Dave, Owner of Streamside Orvis, was very helpful at getting us gear up with great products to continue our fly fishing adventures. The class includes all the necessary gear, so you don't need to own any gear to attend. I would suggest long underwear and thick wool socks for the river fly fishing, even with waders and boots, that river is cold!! It was a super fun and unique experience for us and I would recommend it to anyone looking for the same.”
“Went to the store on Front Street in TC searching for shoes and a pack for a day hike. Had researched online, and while I typically would have purchased these online, I wanted to get recommendations and try on different items. I'd also been to a large outdoor hiking retailer in a larger city that underwhelmed me. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. I walked out with a new pair of hiking shoes from a brand I hadn't researched (that I love), and info on a pack to research that the store didn't have in stock, but would order. I had tried on some packs with a 10 lb load. I ended up going back a few days later and buying a day pack that's perfect. On both trips I had great service from very knowledgeable and friendly employees, with no pressure to buy. And the prices were very competitive - the pack was actually less than that large hiking retailer. Definitely will return for future purchases.”

“This location doesnt get the credit it deserves. Often overlooked bc of the other location in TC being a bigger store and carrying items that this store can't due to its size. I know they've had a lot of staffing turnover, but the staff I encountered in my visits has always treated me right. I know hiring is tough in TC. Rod, Zack and Thomas all are exceptionally knowledgeable and will get you what you need while giving you excellent service, even if they are juggling multiple customers.”
“Nice and clean, wide aisles, and very well organized and labed areas of inventory. I only need protective goggles for pickleball, and I need they don't support "sports," only hunting, hiking, or fishing. I chose a pair of goggles used in target shooting. The rack said $6.99, but at the checkout we were I formed, they were $14.99 and had probably been misplaced. No biggie, but it's hard to understand as everything had seemed so organized.”
