I walk in today, and got told by Jimmy, the owner, that he has shawarma now. me, being a foodie, I'm like, I'll take one with everything. let me be the first to say, absolutely spot on!! the flavor, the salad, garlic, all of it is fresh, and taste phenomenal. I don't have to drive downtown to get it anymore.”
“My favorite Mediterranean store: fresh veggies (best crunchy curly cakes) store-baked Iraqi bread (5/$2.50), olives, pickles, teas, tomato and pepper paste, roasted eggplant dip (my favorite brand Sera from Turkey), sweets, meats and frozen goods. For a small footprint store they have quite a lot. Cashiers are super friendly; parking right near the store. Come visit and you’ll get hooked:-)”

“When I entered the city of Highland, MI, I was struggling to find a great food place! I scoured the city, and I finally landed on the KKC inside this gas station. “Nice speedway gas station location. Facility and parking lot is nice and clean on a daily basis (I stop here for coffee before work Monday through Friday). They also have the Cafe where you can order food to be made for you fresh. You also save 3 cents per falling with speedy card since there is a Kroger gas station down the road.”
“There are a few liquor stores in my neighborhood, this one is not the closest, but I prefer to shop here. They are very helpful in selecting a wine, informing you about new liquors, and they always have free tastings & samplings going on. Stop by and see what I mean... “For past 12 years this has always been a stop for me before I go work. Whether if is was day or night shift the service has always been good. No complaints here before the diet I can say their food always fresh and tasty. But I believe that the busiest times here are lunchtime and the morning. It can sometimes be a good place to meet people and interact. It's never out of control but sometimes there can be a line and that's what 2 registers. “I have been taking my scripts to another pharmacy for YEARS but after moving to this area, it has been nothing but DRAMA. Finally, after listening to me complain multiple times about my experiences elsewhere, someone told me I should try here. I could NOT believe how quickly they were able to get me taken care of. They processed everything in record time- including what had to be ordered because it wasn't in stock.Mark was able to make suggestions that not only saved me time but money. In today's economy, every little bit helps. In addition, while I had REWARDS, I never really took advantage of them. With his help I was able to maximize on them- meaning I will be much more mindful about coming in and taking advantage of those perks.I know ppl complain of things like higher prices and having to use self-checkout but I totally get that I'm paying for the convenience of not having to wander a larger store when neither time or energy (lol) permit. In addition, outside of the pharmacy they clearly don't have very much staff for the store itself. You see pretty much the same rotation of like 3 faces no matter what time OR day you stop in. In spite of this I've consistently been greeted with smiling & friendly demeanor when I've HAD to request personal help. They honestly go out of their way to answer questions and treat people that walk in the door like old friends. It really is refreshing. Having noticed the staffing issues, I honestly don't mind using the automated checkouts at all- it's sorta the norm EVERYWHERE now.So yes, slightly higher prices, you might need to be a little patient simply because 1 person can't be everywhere at once but when you have them, they give you their all. The fact that they offer rewards and coupon deals really kinda evens it out price wise. All things considered, switching way back when would've saved me a whole bunch of time, stress and unnecessary headaches. The general friendliness and want to help? That's what will keep me coming back.”

“The employees during day shift are fairly personable, greet you with a smile, and wish you a good day. It's not often I get that service going inside to other gas stations I frequent. The store is well stocked, almost crowded feeling. That is the only reason I knocked a star off. Other than that, great job!”

“It’s a grid Speedway. They have lots of pumps and the price is pretty much the lowest in the area that I can always find. We stop here often on the way back from Chicago or on the way to Chicago because while the exit ramp from M4 is a long one and it’s another mile up the road. It’s still pretty easy on an easy off. Plenty of drink and snack options inside as always. Like I said, it’s a speedway I like that their soft drink prices from the fountain pop machine are always cheap. And of course I like my speedy rewards. I get free stuff sometimes! So the guy in front of us at the gas pump was from church militant I don’t know if you know them, but they are pretty right wing. That was sad to see him but that’s not a reflection on here even those right wing nut jobs have to get gas somewhere.”

“Most recently I’ve been receiving my CVS prescription medication by US Mail. Yesterday on October 18th I visited the pharmacy for Covid and Flu shots, at 6Mile and Haggerty. I had not been to the Pharmacy for quite some time. I’ve always found Gloria to be the individual to see for her ability to help w any concerns I might have. She was there yesterday to give me my Covid and Flu shots. I’m just writing this to say what a very nice, professional and knowledgeable pharmacist that Gloria is. She is 5 Star and Gold Medal worthy! We need more like her!!”

“I wish I would have gotten the attendants name that helped me today, she was amazing! My tire has a slow leak and after stopping at multiple other locations for air only to find they were out of order, I went to speedway. I couldn’t find the air so I asked the attendant who was out replacing trash can bags, she pointed it out and kindly explained that their machine was also on the fritz and she wasn’t sure if it would work or not. She then offered to come to the air machine and test it first, she put quarters in and tested it and then filled my tire for me! She did all of this out in the cold without batting an eye. I would really like to thank her for her kindness!”
