Wilson Veterinary Hospital
12000 Durham St, WashingtonMy cat had a major life-saving surgery at Wilson’s ER this summer, and he was taken well care of. He had to stay there for about two weeks due to some issues, but they never gave up on him (unlike another pet ER, which suggested euthanasia). He’s now feeling great again! Their prices were fair (all emergency vet’s are expensive), and I never felt they were trying to take financial advantage of the situation. Some people in the waiting room were complaining about long wait times, and this is true, but once you’re in the back room you’re treated like gold. The staff were extremely pleasant and easy to work with. I feel that Wilson’s deserve my 5 stars! Special thanks to Dr. Ross and her team for never giving up on my cat, even when things looked grim, and to Dr. Dawn Kabacinski who is very knowledgeable and went out of her way to help with aftercare.

However… Today I went in and ordered three items and was charged $1.50 more than what the prices were on the menu I was ordering from. When I brought that to their attention, I was told,”that board is coming down” and that the real prices are online. I told them that was dishonest that I was ordering from the board and those were the prices I expecting to pay. The young lady, I was talking to ignored me and walked away. I understand that it’s not her that controls the price prices, but she probably should have gone and gotten someone that could have taken care of the situation better.
