“The tools guy never showed up after 10 minutes of just waiting to buy a wrench for a plumbing issue. I found extendable razor blades in the same isle and cut it so I could finally purchase the item I needed. It's a very popular busy store but maybe they have to rethink the anti-theft policy. Most of the customers were older folks... I'm pretty sure ole Fred isn't stealing your wrench. I gave them 5 stars for having so much in a small store available.”

“Love going to Ace versus the other big box stores. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to help you. Ace does offer a delivery service. They can help with all of your needs”

“Moved to Redford a couple of years ago and while I knew where my local “Ace Hardware” was located, and it was convenient to home, the incompetencies of everyone at that store drove me nuts. Luckily I found Township True Value and after only 1 visit it is clear that everyone is experienced and helpful!!! Can’t wait for my next home improvement project”

“I'm reminded once or twice each year how much I appreciate Tradesman Fasteners & Tool. I've been a customer since the late 90's and they always deliver 5 star service, even when my order was only $5. I'm so happy they area still doing the good work in 2026!”

“My home was built in the '60s. Finding the exact shower diverter part that I needed was impossible at big chain stores. I come here, the guy glances at the broken reference part I brought in, turns around and picks the exact part I needed off the wall behind him. He also happily answered a couple installation questions I had. The girl at the checkout was super nice and helpful as well. I was helped immediately and in and out in minutes. Seriously, you guys saved the day for me and I wish you all nothing but the best! Duke's is a wealth of experience and knowledge. Thank you!”

“I cheated by shopping the store online before arriving, but with the website telling you which aisle the specific item was in, picking them up was easy. Staff was friendly and store is well organized, so items would be reasonably easy to find even without the advance scouting.”

“My air conditioner went out on the 4th of July during this ongoing heat wave. Couldn’t get an HVAC company out on the holiday, so decided to DIY the repair and replace the capacitor. I called all over to source the part, and every store was either closed for the holiday weekend, or they didn’t carry AC capacitors. I called this Garden City Ace, and they had exactly the part I needed and were open on the 4th of July. Great customer service and extremely knowledgeable staff - the Manager was very polite and helpful over the phone. Thank you Garden City Ace Hardware, my family now has working AC and you saved us from a holiday weekend of high temps!”

“Sky Works is amazing. Don’t waste your time dealing with Home Depot. I went their first and it was a complete dumpster fire. The woman at the desk basically begged me not to rent the skid steer they had because she didn't know how to rent it out. Sky Works was the opposite. The guys are complete professionals. They loaded me up in 5 minutes and taught me how to use the machine. It was cheaper than the Depot too. My dad flipped the skid steer over and they sent out a mechanic to fix it and they didnt give me a hard time or even charge me. Thank you guys, you made a seemingly impossible project get done.”

“I went to Ace Hardware to buy a trailer mount and ball, but I accidentally bought the wrong size pin. When I came back to exchange it, they didn't have the size I needed. The cashier actually took the pin off his own trailer hitch and gave it to me, calling it even. That's the kind of customer service you rarely see anymore. We should pay more attention to and support local mom-and-pop stores like this”

“these folks are great! we brought our ego mower in for repair . They are the only ones around who fix ego. We lost our receipt from Lowes so ego said they wouldn't warranty the repair. I was ok with it cuz we did indeed lose the receipt . Turns out the gentleman who works on them called Ego and got our repair covered under warranty! This saved us almost 200 bucks ! What a great bunch of honest helpful people ! Highly recommend.”

“Update review : 02-27-26 Had an issue with a echo set of lawn tools I just bought. Battery issue. Echo sent me to Wayne Lawn and Garden. They seamlessly took care of it and surprised me with efficiency and helpfulness. I had to update the review and go five star here for the great help today. I am back in action doing hard work ! Old review: Slight wait to get to the parts department. Felt a tad awkward at first. That quickly diminished when I dealt with the parts guy. He quickly helped me find an odd ball chain saw blade. The place all be it new looking outside. Has seen it's fair share of traffic inside. More lighting and some scrubbed fresh floors and the showroom would be a tad more inviting. Initial impression ! I think it was priced a tad higher then other places after I checked. But they had it. I was there and he helped me allot. Thanks Wayne Lawn and Garden :)”

“I’ve been coming to this ACE for years and it’s always been my go‑to for paint and home projects. I had a rough experience at checkout last week and mentioned it in the survey. When I walked in today, Janine, the assistant manager, recognized me, came over, apologized sincerely, and handed me two coupons as a thank‑you for my patience. That level of accountability and customer care means a lot. They truly stand behind their service, and I’ll continue to be a loyal customer.”

“We rented a mud buggy to move concrete from a concrete truck in the front yard to where we were pouring a pad in the backyard. The buggy worked great and we received great service. Everyone was extremely friendly and they hitched and unhitched the trailer for me.”

“Kinda dated stock, but super helpful employees. Lots of BBQ grilling and fireplace stuff. They have many drawers of all the little nuts bolts and fittings a household needs; including Metric. Some of the stock is a little shopworn, but that also means that some of it is USA made. Staff is knowledgeable on many repairs. Recommended”
47725 Five Mile Road, Plymouth MI 48170
“Couple recent negative product experiences were handled exceptionally well by the customer service team at the Plymouth location. One had to do with a missing custom mounting part for a medicine cabinet and the other a dented hot water heater tank. In both cases I felt the team both offered and promptly employed reasonable/exceptional solutions. Great job Home Depot Plymouth customer service.”
