“One of my favorite parks in the area. There's a beautiful bridge that walks out onto an Island tha has 2 small peninsulas. There's a few short walking trails and some art installations along the way. There is also a small beach at the neighboring park. Not sure if the water would be great to swim in though.”

“When I was wondering around The Machine Shop, there was a soft glowing reflective goo near the back sort of by the bathrooms. It was making a sort of humming noise and I couldn’t help but feel drawn to it. The closer I got I realized it was a portal and I have always wanted to see one in real life. I went through it and ended up on this new planet, there was nothing but snow and ice. Luckily the portal went two ways other wise we would have been stuck forever. Keep an eye out for it, I guess people say it’s not open often and when it is open it’s not open very long at all.”

“I've photographed 3 weddings now at FIVE Event Center and have had nothing but great experiences every time! Robyn and all of the staff have been exceptional and the space it absolutely beautiful and well taken care of. The two getting ready spaces are very convenient and both the upstairs and downstairs have great spots for portraits and other photos. Additionally, there are some beautiful outdoor areas that are walkable too for a variety of photos. Looking forward to shooting here again!”

“We recently hosted a Playfessionals networking event at The Den at the Mosaic, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
The space itself is beautifully designed and creates a very comfortable, welcoming atmosphere that works perfectly for social and professional gatherings. Many of our guests had never been to this location before, and throughout the evening we kept hearing how impressed they were with the aesthetics, layout, and overall feel of the venue. It truly set the tone for a great event.
The staff and management team were equally impressive. Their customer service was professional, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. The speed of service throughout the night was excellent, which allowed our guests to relax, enjoy themselves, and focus on connecting with one another.

“It's a nice student union. A good food court. Computer lab, attached parking garage (not the cheapest parking on campus, but very convenient). Plenty of spaces to study on various floors, though it becomes difficult to find free spots around lunch time. Student groups can reserve spaces in the second and third floors.”

“We held our wedding reception at North Garden in October of 2023. Ryan and Tina could not have been more gracious and helpful in executing our perfect day. We had an unexpected issue with one of our vendors as the reception began; Ryan, Tina and their staff jumped right in to help us problem solve a solution, which we could not have been more grateful for. The space is a perfect size for all types of events, and Ryan's prior stage management experience is invaluable in helping to create the perfect internal atmosphere for whatever the space is being used for. We cannot recommend North Garden Theatre enough, and wish we could give more than a 5 star rating!”
“First thing you notice is the smell, they definitely do some serious bbq here! they have a decent size bar, with exceptionally kind staff, I got the 3 meat with th 2 sides, chicken was decent, brisket was good but those ribs is where they shined! Mac and cheese was hot and definitely wasnt no velveeta, corn bread was lathered in butter and too hot to eat, fantastic meal with even more fantastic people.”

“This little hotel was just what we needed after a long day on the road. Our room was clean and bright. After we settled in, I received an email asking if everything in the room was okay.
The hotel is located just down the street from a great shopping area with nice restaurants (Chi Chi's!) and lots of free parking. The free breakfast, starting at 6:00 AM, was good.
Staff members were friendly and helpful.”

“We had our wedding reception here (ceremony offsite). We were able to get ready at the College Club with our wedding parties, take photos there, and then come back after our ceremony for the reception. It was a great space for couple, family, and wedding party photos!
The planning experience felt a little disorganized at times, and sometimes it felt like we needed to communicate things multiple times leading up to the day, but things really came together in the end.
However, our day-of coordinator (Keelia) did an incredible job helping our day run smoothly! She had an infectious positive attitude even when we were stressed by a dress bustling issue that kept pushing back the timeline.

The food was great, the venue was beautiful, and the hotel itself is a wonderful place to stay.
There were some staff position changes leading up to our wedding, which made communication a little difficult at times. Once I reached out and followed up — keeping track of our timeline and the tasks that needed to be done — everything went smoothly after that.
We had a hosted bar for two hours followed by a cash bar, and I have to say, the drink prices were a bit high — $10 for a beer and $16 for a cocktail. It felt more like Miami, Florida prices than downtown Minneapolis (IYKYK).
The staff was amazing on the day of our wedding! However, there was one bartender who seemed a bit annoyed as the night went on, which made some guests a little uncomfortable. Granted, I’m not sure exactly how my friends were acting, but I feel like as a bartender at a wedding, you should expect some drunk guests — especially when they’re still being respectful.
We had the smallest room on the 50th floor with a food and beverage minimum of $7,000. Maybe I was naïve about pricing, but I had hoped to keep our wedding under $10K since we only planned for appetizers and a bar for our 7–10 p.m. reception-style event. Our total ended up being just over $20,000, which included:
* 2 types of appetizers (100 pieces each)
* 2 cheese and meat tables (feeds 25 people per order)
* 2 taco stations (feeds 25 people per order)
* 30 late-night pizzas
* 2 hours of open bar
* 100 drink tickets
Each food item and drink was quite expensive, which really added up. No hate at all — I just wasn’t expecting the food and beverage prices to be that high. That said, if budget isn’t a big concern for you, this is an excellent place to host a wedding — the food was so good!
Overall, the venue was super accommodating. There was actually another event happening on the same floor at the same time as our wedding, and I didn’t even realize it until we were packing up at the end of the night. So if you’re worried about sharing the floor with another event — don’t be! You won’t even notice.”
“My wife and I just had our wedding reception here and Perfect is the only word that kept coming to mind when I started trying to sum up my experience. However everything was too good to accurately describe with the word perfect. Setting up our event was totally stress free. The staff was so professional and helpful and kind. I could keep going but I want to get to the food before you get bored and stop reading. It was roll your eyes back into your head delicious. And we kept our menu simple. Every expectation I had was exceeded by orders of magnitude and I had high expectations. Do your event here. You will not regret it.”
