“Our day was a DREAM at Machine Shop! We could not have asked for more caring and attentive staff. They accommodated several special requests and worked hard to help me realize my vision. Working with Lauren was awesome - it felt like I was working with a friend and she went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. Our day went off without a hitch thanks to the staff, security, and bartenders. We could not recommend Machine Shop enough for your wedding or event!”

“A 5-star hotel and restaurant located on the only inhabited island in Minneapolis and just minutes from anything cool you can think of. We frequented the Nicollet Island Inn (NII) for the quiet, well-kept bar that is a hidden gem, and an occasional dinner/meal, when we lived in Northeast Minneapolis. So, when we were returning after a 4-year absence, we HAD to stay at the Nicollet Island Inn. We met friends and family for an afternoon and evening of dining, drinks and fun. We received superb service, unsurmountable attention to detail and delicious, splendid meals. Wow! NII sets the new gold standard for hotels and restaurants. All of us who travel regularly were amazed at the professionalism, genuine care and alacrity that we enjoyed with every encounter, every meal and every conversation. A huge thank you to Issa at the front desk, Brad in the NII bar, and Lillian and Rebecca in the restaurant. Everything was perfect. You impressed everyone who had the pleasure of interacting with each of you.Nearby activities: There is too much in the way of activities that are nearby. You are a 10 minute walk to downtown Minneapolis. You are in the famed Nordeast Minneapolis - just look up Nye's Bar or St. Anthony Main! Interstate 35W is 5 minutes away and the University is a quick drive or bike ride. Centrally located and yet quiet and tucked away from the wild life.Safety: The island is well protected and well-lit. The area is always busy with foot traffic and runners/joggers. The inn does a great job of securing the parking lot and managing their outdoor patio to buffer you from the passers-by. You forget you are in a metropolitan area. They still use physical room keys!! It is classic!Walkability: You can walk anywhere at anytime from the Nicollet Island Inn. The area is constantly "afoot" with St. Anthony Main at your doorstep and downtown Minneapolis just 10 minutes away. Everyone walks in this area no matter the season.Food & drinks: The menu at NII is amazing. Each menu offers great selections with a good range for all appetites. The staff does an excellent job of accommodating food allergen requirements without skipping a beat. The wine list is very well curated and the bartender has years of mixology experience to make you the perfect iteration of any alcoholic beverage. The NII should be at the top of you dining list when in Minneapolis!”

“Great brewery! Tasty beer, friendly staff, large and comfortable space. I really like the overall atmosphere, and it's in a cool and convenient location. They also host various events like cribbage and trivia and have rotating food trucks. It's a great place for meeting up with friends and I'll definitely be back!”

“We hosted a corporate luncheon at Warehouse Winery & the space was perfect for our group. We loved the eclectic design of the space and that we could partition off different areas for different needs, from a gathering area to the dining space. The AV equipment onsite was just right for our presentation and the venue manager was really easy to work with and accommodating to our last-minute needs. I would be concerned with parking if we had more than 50 people, but for our group there were enough spaces available along the street and businesses to fit.”

“Young Joni is a celebrated restaurant in Northeast Minneapolis that stands out for its unique blend of Korean flavors with a contemporary American twist, particularly noted for its wood-fired cooking techniques. The ambiance of Young Joni is both cozy and sophisticated, featuring a warm, inviting space with a hidden back bar that adds an element of surprise and exclusivity to the dining experience. The menu at Young Joni is crafted by the talented Chef Ann Kim, whose culinary prowess has been recognized with several awards, including a James Beard Award. The restaurant's dishes are inventive and beautifully presented, with the pizzas being a standout feature. These aren't your typical pizzas; they come with unique toppings like Korean BBQ and fermented chili beans, each adding a burst of flavor that complements the smoky, charred crust beautifully.Beyond pizza, the menu also features a variety of small plates, like the Korean beef short ribs and the cauliflower with gochujang sauce, which are perfect for sharing and exploring different flavors. The cocktail menu is equally impressive, offering creative concoctions that are perfect for pairing with the bold flavors of the dishes.Young Joni's commitment to quality and its fusion of flavors make it a culinary gem in Minneapolis. It’s an ideal spot for those who appreciate thoughtful, flavor-packed dishes served in a stylish yet comfortable setting.”

They did not disappoint when they said the “Pizza is great here” I’ve always loved pizza, to top it off the Fresh Topping they use is surreal! Definitely recommend ordering here for next Game Day! My Family loved the place.”

“I love the ambiance at this place. It's great for both date nights and/or group fine dining experience. My favorite is their Salsa sampler/flight. Food and drinks are a bit on the pricey side but I'd say it's pretty worth it. Great service too.”

“A fun little theater! Saw a show here and laughed a bunch and had a great time with some friends! Also stuck around for some extra improv for a bit of more fun and laughs! Staff were super friendly and nice and had a nice small selection of drinks (alcoholic, infused, and NA) and snacks.”

“I come down to the river rats water ski show about once a year. You really have to come about an hour to 45 minutes early to get *A* parking spot! If you have the blue accessibility parking thing I can't remember what it's called to come up but it hangs from my mirror) there's a parking lot for you, across the street from the show. But you have to have the blue parking thing. There are Porta potties, the show is, the viewing is on a hill so there's plenty of seating, you have to bring a chair like a camping chair, snacks, beverages, but they also do sell like I think, hot dogs, chips, water that sort of thing, and that money does go to the river rats. About halfway through the show they do collect money, they will be wearing THEIR OUTFITS , so make sure you are ONLY giving money to the RIVER RATS people they come in droves and will be carrying buckets. I usually give them a couple of bucks.”

“Have been to many microbreweries over the years and have never seen one as unique as this one. Being a sci-fi fantasy fan myself, I really appreciated the decor with nods to Tolkien and Monty Python's Holy Grail. Custom artwork on t-shirts and wall hangings is very well done! There's darts, frisbee, painting groups, live music, and many other interesting things to see and do here. Really like all the little cubbyholes too. Sampled a flight and enjoyed the full flavor and creaminess of the Baltic Orc Porter so much, I HAD to pickup some for home! Excellent, knowledgeable staff and the owner walking around chatting with customers was nice. Three dollar discounts for growlers on Wednesdays too. Loved the original names given to the brews as well. Most likely will become regulars and will definitely be back.”

“My wife and I just had our wedding reception here and Perfect is the only word that kept coming to mind when I started trying to sum up my experience. However everything was too good to accurately describe with the word perfect. Setting up our event was totally stress free. The staff was so professional and helpful and kind. I could keep going but I want to get to the food before you get bored and stop reading. It was roll your eyes back into your head delicious. And we kept our menu simple. Every expectation I had was exceeded by orders of magnitude and I had high expectations. Do your event here. You will not regret it.”

“I stopped in to buy a couple of gift and had a phenomenal experience. The store is set up for tasting many different flavors of oil and vinegar. Then, if you want to buy a bottle(or 5), the staff will fill up a bottle for you right there and package it. My personal favorite was the dark chocolate vinaigrette - it blows my mind that balsamic vinegar can taste like that. There's no going back to normal store bought vinaigrettes after you've been here!”

“I'm a board member of a non-profit, we hold an annual fundraiser featuring top shelf artists, and I thought this would be an appropriate venue if the overall expense is acceptable Cool looking theater!”

“I attended a health convention this summer, so I got to the convention for the first time. Even though I was staying on the St. Paul side of town, I was amazed at the size of the convention center at the other end of the Twin City. It was really clean. Unlike some stadium I've been in to watch games, it was clean throughout, as I say cleaning staff making sure things were working okay. The tech staff were working hard in the background in between presentations- you really saw them except during breaks. They really made the transition between the different events seamless. Definitely one of the best convention sites I've ever been to. If you have an event here with your company/organization, it is definitely a place to go to if you're a convention-goer.”

“Old American architecture. Fun to walk around and browse the artisans' spaces. Interesting structure that still has many original doors and counterweight door closers. Would love to come back when more artisans are available.”

“Excellent. I visited Minneapolis to DJ an event at the Fillmore (right next door) and the Element Hotel was absolutely perfect. The customer service was phenomenal; they brought me a cart to help transport all my DJ equipment and they showed me where the hallways connect directly to the Fillmore. It was so cool, it was like walking through a secret tunnel! Super convenient, I didn't even have to go outside in the -4*F weather! The room I booked was really cute and comfortable; it had a mini fridge and a microwave, which is perfect for me and my midnight snacks. Additionally, there was a hot chocolate bar in the lobby with mini marshmallows -- AMAZING!! Definitely a highlight of my stay :)Upon checking out, I went over to the parking garage (also very convenient and easy to access) and found a flat tire on my rental car. Totally flat like a pancake! The staff was so kind and helped me put air in the tire so that I could make it to the airport in time. Big shout-out to Noah, thank you so much!! Overall, I had a lovely experience at the Element Hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Minneapolis!”

“I've only been here for the Karlis Kaufmanis public astrophysics lecture series. Great venue, well maintained. Very easy to navigate the building. I love how its attached to the multistory parking garage. I usually go through the Art Museum entrance.Entire place needs a facelift though. Feels like you're stepping several decades into the past inside the building.”

“Time really does fly. I remember I was a senior in HS attending the MN Cars & Coffee in Canterbury Park in Shakopee! But the last time I attended the event was when it was in southdale mall. I’m looking forward to attending MN Cars & Coffee again this year 2024! Please update the website with new schedules if possible, thanks!”

“U.S. Bank stadium is a good overall major sports league stadium. I've been to a few large stadiums that have been much better experiences, but I have definitely been to a lot worse stadiums. The parking fees during events are absolutely ridiculous, even for a large event venue like this. The parking options are few and far between for anything remotely close to the stadium. The location is less than ideal. The acoustics for concerts is pretty bad.”

“Incredible space for events with excellent staff. We had our Venue Tour + Vendor Meetup held on the 50th floor Windows at Marquette in downtown Minneapolis. We were so high up in the sky, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Minneapolis, the IDS building. You can seriously see for miles and miles out into the suburbs. Gorgeous spaces inside for any event with sweeping views outside with ceiling to floor windows.Marquette served a wonderful spread for brunch that included: toasted bagels slathered with cream cheese, capers and smoked salmon. Lots of fresh fruits, cantaloupe, melons, honeydew, melon, strawberries. And with the brunch theme there was wonderful toasted hashbrowns, and yummy quiche. It was delicious.Highly recommend Windows at Marquette for any special eventPhoto credit: Adrian Steinbach PhotographyTwin Cities Wedding & Event Professionals”

“Decent place to see a show, easy in and easy out. Sound system was not overly loud for the hip hop show.Almost never posted a review about the bathrooms before but they are an absolute nightmare of a cramped and tiny mess, especially the men’s side.”

“My husband and I were on our honeymoon to Mall of America when we found this cute little honey store. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had 2 jars of honey shipped home and received them a couple days after we got home. They were so delicately packed. We will definitely order from there again and visit on our next trip. Much love from northern michigan.”

“Meat raffle on Fridays and Saturdays! Stay on your toes because they are exciting and go by quick! This VFW is always busy so get there early if you're going with a group.Food is about what you'd expect from a busy bar. Table service always seems understaffed, but they do a good job keeping up. My favorite is the pub Mac and cheese. It's just one of those perfect comfort meals. The flat breads are pretty good too. Big enough to share.”
