“Went to the holiday lights show. I was not sure if it would be worthwhile, but I and all the kids we brought really enjoyed the stroll through different areas of the light show. The slide was fun too.”
“One of my favorite parks in the area. There's a beautiful bridge that walks out onto an Island tha has 2 small peninsulas. There's a few short walking trails and some art installations along the way. There is also a small beach at the neighboring park. Not sure if the water would be great to swim in though.”

“My husband and I recently spent four nights at the St Paul Hotel while attending the Minnesota Yacht Club music festival. The location was the initial draw as it was walking distance to the venue. We travel quite a bit and have stayed in many nice hotels and we both agreed that this was one of our favorites! The building itself is beautiful and our room was immaculate. Some of the best room service and house keeping we’ve experienced. The St Paul Grill is the onsite restaurant and the food and service was superb! A bit pricey but well worth it. There is also a lobby bar which has coffee and pastries in the mornings or you can have breakfast at the Drake which was also amazing. It’s rare that we leave a place with no complaints but it happened during this stay! Book a stay at the St Paul. You will not be disappointed!”

“Very nice stadium. Love the staff but dang Minnesota fans are babies. Want to talk trash but can't handle the trash talking back. Love seeing fans literally crying when they found out we started only 2nd and 3rd string players and Minnesota couldn't stop Houston or even get down the field and score until Houston put in the 4th stringers that won't make the team. Lol, Minnesota won't see a championship for a very long time.”
“When I was wondering around The Machine Shop, there was a soft glowing reflective goo near the back sort of by the bathrooms. It was making a sort of humming noise and I couldn’t help but feel drawn to it. The closer I got I realized it was a portal and I have always wanted to see one in real life. I went through it and ended up on this new planet, there was nothing but snow and ice. Luckily the portal went two ways other wise we would have been stuck forever. Keep an eye out for it, I guess people say it’s not open often and when it is open it’s not open very long at all.”

“I really liked Emery. Spy house cafe located in the same area. If you're looking to dress up for a nice evening gathering, good food and cocktails this is a great go-to or even just for coffee. Loved the architectural design.
Parking might be a bit tricky since it's located right in the heart of Minneapolis.”

Victoria, Robyn, and other FIVE Event staff members make dreams come true! They are so attentive and really are there for you. We feel like we have made life long friends with their staff.
Be sure to check out their preferred vendors. Everyone we worked with from this list was WONDERFUL! We decided on Green Mill Catering, HoneyBlue Media, and Unparalleled Valet Parking. They were all so easy to work with and are familiar with the venue.”

I heard about this place from a friend and wanted to test out my new Hammer Special Effect. I was privileged enough to be tended to by Katie, who showed so much hospitality and help that I'll come back again next week. She was always there to help us with any problem (there were barely any though!) and made my time here great.”
“From the moment that Captain Dan first called (minutes after I sent an email inquiring for more information) through our event in July, I was completely satisfied and incredibly impressed by the personal customer service, prompt responses for information, quality, and value. “It's very clean, however on the lower levels (below the Jamba juice, on the floor with the Starbucks and bookstore) there could be a better directory, especially regarding where exits are and where they lead. I know this is also not particularly the building/campuses fault, but everything closes exceptionally early. More often than not, after my classes that end at 3-4, everything including food and supplies store are completely closed or out of everything. Other than that, it is very nice and there is plenty of seating”

“Staying here was my favorite thing about my visit to St Paul. It was so comfortable, relaxing, and interesting in the best way! Harriet island is very nice to walk around. On the Inn you'll also experience excellent views. I watched the sunset from the upper deck. Lot's of peaceful entertainment watching the birds. Not far from downtown but really feels like an escape. Has every modern amenity, despite being a boat! Came to St Paul for a conference at the intercontinental and stayed here on my last night, I wish I had stayed here the whole time! It is a very short walk. The owner is very kind and accommodating. I'm vegan and she made me a delicious breakfast. Staying at the Covington is really a must-do! I hope I have an excuse to come back and cannot recommend it highly enough!
Rooms: So cute and comfy! I was in the mates quarters. I wish I stayed more than one night. It was perfect

Walkability: Not far from downtown! I walked to and from there.
Food and drinks: The host prepared a lovely breakfast accommodating my vegan! There's also a fridge in the room, and a kitchen area in the lobby. I enjoyed having the kettle for tea. I got takeout for lunch from babani's nearby (delicious!)”
“First thing you notice is the smell, they definitely do some serious bbq here! they have a decent size bar, with exceptionally kind staff, I got the 3 meat with th 2 sides, chicken was decent, brisket was good but those ribs is where they shined! Mac and cheese was hot and definitely wasnt no velveeta, corn bread was lathered in butter and too hot to eat, fantastic meal with even more fantastic people.”

Stacey was amazing in communication with me. She was quick to respond to any emails I had. “We held our wedding reception at North Garden in October of 2023. Ryan and Tina could not have been more gracious and helpful in executing our perfect day. We had an unexpected issue with one of our vendors as the reception began; Ryan, Tina and their staff jumped right in to help us problem solve a solution, which we could not have been more grateful for. The space is a perfect size for all types of events, and Ryan's prior stage management experience is invaluable in helping to create the perfect internal atmosphere for whatever the space is being used for. We cannot recommend North Garden Theatre enough, and wish we could give more than a 5 star rating!”

“We had our wedding reception here (ceremony offsite). We were able to get ready at the College Club with our wedding parties, take photos there, and then come back after our ceremony for the reception. It was a great space for couple, family, and wedding party photos!
The planning experience felt a little disorganized at times, and sometimes it felt like we needed to communicate things multiple times leading up to the day, but things really came together in the end.
However, our day-of coordinator (Keelia) did an incredible job helping our day run smoothly! She had an infectious positive attitude even when we were stressed by a dress bustling issue that kept pushing back the timeline.
This is a beautiful space for a reasonable price!”
“My husband and I LOVE this place!!. It's members only the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. We went there for a couple of drinks and just sat and talked. It was the perfect way to end our evening. They do offer food but I'm not sure what they have to offer seeing as we only went for drinks. The place is a little bit off the main road so you might have to Google it. Their prices are very reasonable and the parking was easy. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a veteran of a or a child or spouse of a veteran who was in a foreign war.”

“How do you review something so timeless. As a little one I came here frequently with my family and I would get so excited I would make myself sick! (Or so they say, I probably have issues with crowds or something). Anyway, I started volunteering in the vet med area in 2023 and I am so glad to be back - I actually kind of preferred walking around by myself! I am glad they've been getting more vegan options. I was there in 2019 to see Brandi Carlile and that was my first time Grand Standing it. Always so much to do and so little time!”
