“How do you review something so timeless. As a little one I came here frequently with my family and I would get so excited I would make myself sick! (Or so they say, I probably have issues with crowds or something). Anyway, I started volunteering in the vet med area in 2023 and I am so glad to be back - I actually kind of preferred walking around by myself! I am glad they've been getting more vegan options. I was there in 2019 to see Brandi Carlile and that was my first time Grand Standing it. Always so much to do and so little time!”

“My wife and I love this park. The views of nature you can get here are stunning. The colors are just beautiful this time of year and the last time we went, we saw a large number of deer by the hidden pond near the entrance (not the big one with the island in the middle). It's just about as perfect as can be...with one exception. The modern art displays that have recently become more common in the park are strange and an eyesore. There are a few pictured in this review, and unfortunately many others that are often made of materials that stand in stark contrast to the natural beauty (a recently installed one is a concrete cask with a mowed field of artificial metal or plastic flowers around it, and others are structures made of rusty metal - the rusty "5", concrete, plastic, artificial colors, etc). A few years ago there was even a DVD player set up on a tree stump inside the nature center that looped a video of teenage girls silently throwing cheese puffs at one another in various nature scenes (I'm not joking). The empty container of cheese puffs was displayed next to the stump. These modern art displays have taken over a very nice space inside the nature center, where there was a comfy couch in front of a lovely fireplace. The couch has been removed to make room to display these modern art pieces and the fireplace is never turned on anymore. It's unfortunate - we really miss the ability to cozy up in front of that fireplace. But the park is otherwise very lovely, and we'll be coming back for years to come.”

“Our son was getting married and we are from Philadelphia. We used YELP to find DeGidio's to have the rehearsal dinner and it was a great find and excellent experience. The space was arranged and set for our arrival. Everyone was able to have a cocktail, relax and enjoy the social time. The buffet menu was served on time, hot and DELICIOUS! The bar service was A+. When you entertain, you know the food, beverage, and service are going well when the guests are having a good time and staying late! Well done and thank you DeGidio's!”

“Our day was a DREAM at Machine Shop! We could not have asked for more caring and attentive staff. They accommodated several special requests and worked hard to help me realize my vision. Working with Lauren was awesome - it felt like I was working with a friend and she went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. Our day went off without a hitch thanks to the staff, security, and bartenders. We could not recommend Machine Shop enough for your wedding or event!”

“Urban Growler is a really nice brewery tucked away in a neighborhood in St. Paul. We were looking for a fish fry and we found a good one. A “Wisconsin Style” fish fry every Friday night. The beer was good, I had their Midwest IPA and my wife a cream ale. And there was plenty of fish including a side of cole slaw, tator tots, fries or chips. The owner came over and introduced herself and asked how everything was and offered me another piece of fish which was so nice. I’ll be back.”

I highly recommend FIVE Event Center for your next celebration. Victoria made planning seamless. Thank you FIVE.”

“CHS Field is a phenomenal ballpark that really sets a high standard for minor league baseball fields and city owned facilities. Although an intimate stadium with regard to seat numbers, this stadium is very clean, family friendly, with great fan engagement, and no bad views of the field. This stadium has an amazing team store, food selections, and a baseball museum located within the stadium as well. I would highly recommend it for anyone to try and catch a St. Paul Saints game here for a classic and enjoyable day at the ballpark.”

“I was in the area and was curious what was fun in the area and this popped up. The online website booking was easy to use. I did the one hour for 30 minutes. It's located I. A mini strip mall with shared parking which was roomy enough. There's no food/drink service, but that didn't stop us from having fun!Staff was nice and helpful showing us to throw axes, mini shovels and knives! Yes! I like that variety of choices of what to throw lol.Definitely will come back to try more.”

“413 on Wacouta is such an amazing venue and it was perfect for our wedding! The building has so much character we really didn’t need to do a ton of extra decorating and just let the spaces shine. It has a very Beauty and the Beast, speakeasy vibe which made for a beautiful and romantic setting. We had a little over 100 people which I felt fit the space well. Victoria is so much fun and was really wonderful to work with also! She sent photos and videos she had taken throughout the day and was such an asset in ensuring our day was special and ran smoothly. 10/10 I highly recommend if you are looking for an intimate, romantic downtown setting with a ton of charm!”

“We had an event onsite and the staff was really great. The guests enjoyed learning about the caves and we had a really good catered meal on site. We also had a band, which was amazing but because of the nature of being inside tunnels/caves, it was too loud for some guests. A DJ might have been better suited for the event, but otherwise it was a really unique venue and experience.”

“My wife and I just had our wedding reception here and Perfect is the only word that kept coming to mind when I started trying to sum up my experience. However everything was too good to accurately describe with the word perfect. Setting up our event was totally stress free. The staff was so professional and helpful and kind. I could keep going but I want to get to the food before you get bored and stop reading. It was roll your eyes back into your head delicious. And we kept our menu simple. Every expectation I had was exceeded by orders of magnitude and I had high expectations. Do your event here. You will not regret it.”

“We recently hosted an event at the P&Y club and I couldn't recommend it more. The place is beautiful and the patio especially is right on the Mississippi river with gorgeous sunset views. The staff was extremely helpful, great at offering options and suggestions and flexible to accomodate our scheduling requests. I worked with Amy Muller and Laura and highly highly recommend both of them. Our food was prepared by Chef Kevin and the food was EXCELLENT! The compliments and feedback I consistently got from all the guests was how flavorful it was. (This says a lot as all my friends are amazing cooks themselves :)) Big shout out to Amanda, Katie and Michael for taking care of our guests during the event. Thank you all!”

“I highly recommend magnolia blossom cruises for your wedding venue! We got married on 8/26, and it was an absolute dream! Everyone that attended our party wished it never ended! They accommodated us more than we could have ever asked for! We forgot our boquets in the car, and the staff made me a make shift one on the fly so I would have one! They have music throughout the boat and accommodations to make sure your phone is hooked up. The staff made sure everything was taken care of, and I didn't need to worry about a thing!! The food was delicious - the sandwiches were an absolute hit at the after party, and so many compliments! I wish I could get married again just to experience the boat again. Also, captain Dan was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. He communication so well!!”

They did not disappoint when they said the “Pizza is great here” I’ve always loved pizza, to top it off the Fresh Topping they use is surreal! Definitely recommend ordering here for next Game Day! My Family loved the place.”

“I've only been here for the Karlis Kaufmanis public astrophysics lecture series. Great venue, well maintained. Very easy to navigate the building. I love how its attached to the multistory parking garage. I usually go through the Art Museum entrance.Entire place needs a facelift though. Feels like you're stepping several decades into the past inside the building.”

“Really fun restaurant! We tried the guacamole, chicken tacos and shrimp tacos. All were really good. Both the tacos did have spice to it so if you’re sensitive to spice I would be aware. The vibes were dark and cozy so a great place for a date night. I would definitely come back.”

“A fun little theater! Saw a show here and laughed a bunch and had a great time with some friends! Also stuck around for some extra improv for a bit of more fun and laughs! Staff were super friendly and nice and had a nice small selection of drinks (alcoholic, infused, and NA) and snacks.”

“New Rules was an amazing and affordable option to host my recent show "Planet Venus" highlighting femme & queer artists. I enjoyed both hosting and in the past attending the events here. My guests were very happy with the space and we had creative freedom to use it how it was needed. I'll be back for sure.”

“We had our wedding here back in August and seriously hands down the best event coordination to work with ever! They were all super responsive to questions when they came up. From Matthew & Nicole to the event security at night, everything went amazing! (Just as they promised) I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend using this event center for any big events you are needing!”

“I come down to the river rats water ski show about once a year. You really have to come about an hour to 45 minutes early to get *A* parking spot! If you have the blue accessibility parking thing I can't remember what it's called to come up but it hangs from my mirror) there's a parking lot for you, across the street from the show. But you have to have the blue parking thing. There are Porta potties, the show is, the viewing is on a hill so there's plenty of seating, you have to bring a chair like a camping chair, snacks, beverages, but they also do sell like I think, hot dogs, chips, water that sort of thing, and that money does go to the river rats. About halfway through the show they do collect money, they will be wearing THEIR OUTFITS , so make sure you are ONLY giving money to the RIVER RATS people they come in droves and will be carrying buckets. I usually give them a couple of bucks.”

“Have been to many microbreweries over the years and have never seen one as unique as this one. Being a sci-fi fantasy fan myself, I really appreciated the decor with nods to Tolkien and Monty Python's Holy Grail. Custom artwork on t-shirts and wall hangings is very well done! There's darts, frisbee, painting groups, live music, and many other interesting things to see and do here. Really like all the little cubbyholes too. Sampled a flight and enjoyed the full flavor and creaminess of the Baltic Orc Porter so much, I HAD to pickup some for home! Excellent, knowledgeable staff and the owner walking around chatting with customers was nice. Three dollar discounts for growlers on Wednesdays too. Loved the original names given to the brews as well. Most likely will become regulars and will definitely be back.”

“We had our dream wedding here.St. Paul College Club made for the most STUNNING venue and the team there was amazing. If you’re looking for a venue in the St. Paul area with historic charm, this is it.Team - Tracy and her team were exceptional throughout the whole process answering my every question quickly. They made me feel like my wedding was the only event on their books, which for a bride, was reassuring. We had rented the space starting at 9 a.m. and without even being asked the team started helping set up with flowers, table cards and more. During the reception, they came to check on us multiple times throughout the night to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed – drinks, food, and so much more. They didn’t miss a beat. Before coming to St. Paul College Club, Tracy worked with other venues. She took all the things that are annoyances, problems, and difficult in planning a wedding and made sure that events/weddings were not ran like that here.Food & Drinks – 12/10 – The chef and his team are top-notch. Everyone was served large portions, and the food everyone raved about. Two months later someone was talking to me about the chicken they ate that night, it’s THAT good. They also were accommodating to any allergies and more. We served apps at happy hour which were such a hit too. We loved being able to bring all our own alcohol and worked with their recommended bartending company and everything was PERFECT.Venue – 10/10, the locations, vibes, all of it stunned both in town and out of town guests. Perfect distance to DT St. Paul so did not need to offer transportation, plenty of things to do in the area for out of town guests, and more. Having the entire mansion was also really awesome as we found different groups of guests hanging out in separate areas. The venue is so timeless and beautiful itself that minimal décor was needed which was nice.Transparency – The team is 100 percent transparent. There were no hidden costs/fees or anything which when planning such a big event does put a curve in things, if not disclosed. They also go above and beyond to let you know what they think might be needed given on the wedding size, and more. For example, I wanted two bars and we opted for passed champagne, which was an excellent touch and at a fraction of the cost.”

“I'm a board member of a non-profit, we hold an annual fundraiser featuring top shelf artists, and I thought this would be an appropriate venue if the overall expense is acceptable Cool looking theater!”

“I attended a health convention this summer, so I got to the convention for the first time. Even though I was staying on the St. Paul side of town, I was amazed at the size of the convention center at the other end of the Twin City. It was really clean. Unlike some stadium I've been in to watch games, it was clean throughout, as I say cleaning staff making sure things were working okay. The tech staff were working hard in the background in between presentations- you really saw them except during breaks. They really made the transition between the different events seamless. Definitely one of the best convention sites I've ever been to. If you have an event here with your company/organization, it is definitely a place to go to if you're a convention-goer.”
