“Clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The food is inexpensive, with a buffet available every Monday and Friday for £17.95. There's ample free parking. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive. The restrooms are clean, and the food is delicious. I come to this restaurant every Monday to make merit with the monks.

“I stopped into the Trader Joe’s in Bloomington today, and once again I was reminded why this chain has such a loyal following. Even though the store is smaller than a typical big‑box grocer, the curated selection makes shopping feel intentional rather than overwhelming. You get about 4,000 items instead of 50,000, but somehow they manage to stock exactly what you actually want. The atmosphere here is warm and energetic—there’s a friendly, almost neighborhood vibe that makes the whole experience feel lighter. Vegan items are mixed throughout the store, but they’re clearly labeled, so it’s easy to spot plant‑based options without hunting. Today’s haul was entirely organic, and the total at checkout was noticeably lower than what I’m used to paying at my usual grocery store. Trader Joe’s private‑label pricing really does make a difference, especially when you’re buying organic or specialty items. All in all, the Bloomington location delivered the same charm and value I’ve come to expect—simple, friendly, and surprisingly affordable. A great stop for anyone who appreciates good food without the sticker shock.”

This is a big and well-staffed TJs. Excellent selection of fresh and frozen foods. My favorites are the pre-made salads and frozen international foods.

“I love the deli case at the nice time market. They also have a great selection of ice cream from Bridgemans and local eggs. A lot of their seasonal produce is organic and much less expensive as supposed to the Co-op. Oh, and there made fresh sandwiches are delicious for lunch.”
“I like the store for its niche products, and the snack items are usually quite inexpensive. However, the meat tends to be on the expensive side. I also noticed that many of the cookies contain palm oil. Fresh herbs are often priced higher than at a typical grocery store as well. That said, they do have a good selection of frozen entrées, and the quality is generally quite good.”
“Only place I will go! No matter what neighborhood I live in. This will forever be my shop. Started going here after moving into area because my daughter who used to live nearby said they always treated her like fam from day one. She was spot on! From the moment you walk in. “It’s an interesting find in the heart of Lyn Lake. Has been there for ages. There is mostly Greek food, from feta, olives, and other Greek items you can’t find in the city. There is a great selection of Slavic and Arabic groceries.”

“This is an extremely efficient Korean shop. They have some homemade kimchi that is top notch for the people of the Caucasian persuasion. Not as spicy as most people like. But you can eat a lot of it at once. Haha. The other goods here decently priced for being imported and there are some unique buys. Seems to be family-owned.”

“This is a delightful market with very kind owners and staff. Their halal chicken is great. It's a joy to shop in this wonderful place and converse with the friendly, thoughtful owner. “Lakewinds Food Co-Op is a plant-based oasis in an area that is very meat heavy. While they have plenty to choose from for all diets, we were thoroughly impressed by the plethora of vegan options, including store-made and local baked goods, a crazy collection of Daiya Pizza’s and an array of meat alternatives. Would recommend for local vegans! And anyone looking to recoup on their investment with member discounts and end of your reimbursement! If I lived here, we’d shop this store weekly!!”

Food is important. Teachers/coaches shouldn’t be in charge of supplying it.
