“**Update:The manager Angie called me up and was very apologetic and friendly. A company who is willing to actually follow through and see why their customers are upset that’s pretty rare and awesome. She explained why their system did what it did and they’re working on it. Here’s your five stars back. **I’ve been to the store many times and I like it a lot.However I placed a large-ish delivery for the next day. 20’ flats that I didn’t have a trailer for. I got the order in before 2pm etc. a couple minutes later I get a confirmation email that says it will be a week later. I call them up they say they can still deliver the next day but the fee will be $150. Ok fine - paid it.They call me say they only have 25 and I needed 35 but they’ll deliver them for free when the additional 10 get in and said they would reverse my $150 deliver charge because it was their fault. Sweet!Here’s where I decided to leave a review.* They call again- and said they can’t deliver until 4 days from now.* if I want it tomorrow it will be $300.* and it will only be 25 of the 35 I needed.So my project was completely hosed.I just cancelled my order and I’ll try elsewhere. Be careful when you order on their website because their inventory is not live and you won’t find out until you call them.”
“Really great local hardware store. Love that they've stayed in the area and hope they continue to be in the community. Customer service is good, prices are good, and they have specialty services I didn't even know existed.Needed to get 15 different storm windows built to fit in the frames missing windows. Was able to bring in the frames or existing windows that were an exact match to what I needed and they got it done quick and at a good price. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!”
“What’s with all the 1-star reviews over masks. They were ridiculous then and they are still ridiculous now that we have even more data to show how arbitrary and unnecessary they and lockdowns were. I’m leaving a 5-star review because the products here are exceptional, which is what matters. And also to counteract some of the stupidity coming from mask reviews. Some in this country has lost their minds.”
“Always provide such excellent service! I've been numerous times for business or personal reasons. I'm always greeted when I first enter the store and asked if there's something they can help me with. I don't have to search aimlessly, they take me right to what I need. If there are multiple options for an item, they even explain the pros and cons of each. Service is quick and dependable. Products they sell are good quality. Highly recommend!”
“Walked in with a nondescript faucet part I needed to replace, after another store didn’t have it. The guy at the counter knew the brand and part right away and then suggested an additional part I might need, which ended up being the case. Love these smaller shops with experts who can get it right for you the first time!”

Ace Hardware was recommended as the place to go - it totally was! And like smaller hardware stores. They really excel at services or recommendations for a homeowner. I believe they cut glass and work on window and door screens as well.”

“I had a larger casement window installed and my contractors supplier was Hamel True Value Building Center. The window was installed correctly but during the cold spell last Winter an issue with the window performance occurred and a warranty claim was initiated by me.
Steve Theiste, the salesman worked with my contractor, window supplier, and me to resolve the issue and it was determined a new window would result. Steve had to keep up with me and all of the back and forth, and he ordered a new window. I was very impressed with his professionalism and patience as we worked through the warranty and recommend his expertise to anyone looking for new windows.”

“Nice home Ace. I used just about every home Ace in the west metro. Never have had a problem. Easy to get to, employees are nice. Never had problems. I use the Ace for all my needs. They've never been out of stock anytime I've ever been there or needed anything. Which is very important as a contractor. I just never know when i'll have to stop in and grab someone. I can usually get in and out in 5 min which is important to me(even though I wanna look around longer). Plain and simple great place to shop. “Unfortunately, this location in St. Louis Park, Jerry's Do It Best Hardware and Rental announced on October 13, 2025 that they will be closing permanently (the St. Louis Park Jerry's and Maple Grove Jerry's) beginning January 1, 2026. It was great store for 10+ years. Jerry's is a good place to bring your lawnmower, weed trimmers, leaf blower, chainsaws and snowblower in for tune-ups and seasonal repairs! Recommending Jerry's for great customer support and service! 5 stars reviews all across the board! Thanks Michael!! Still are great Jerry's locations in Edina, Bloomington and Eden Prairie!”

“So, this is quite the gem.. Have stopped into this location multiple times and have always had amazing service which is rare for most stores in this sector... Reason for writing, John (customer service rep) took time for my needs on pest control.. Didn't rush the interaction, just gave me the time to ask questions and his answers were so very helpful... This guy is a DIAMOND.
From this experience alone, I will only be shopping at Gopher Ace for my hardware needs.. I am conveniently close to the big box stores but NEVER get this type of service. I would be lucky for a smile.
Kudos also to the cashier, Mary.. what a wonderful person... She gives the final charm for a wonderful experience.

Jim was very helpful in getting me started, and the company was dedicated to helping small business owners. There was also Brian, who was always friendly towards me. However, after the events of 9/11, I didn't have the courage to keep going. Nevertheless, I had made a name for myself and eventually sold my business to focus on building up welding departments. I took Toll with me wherever I went, as they always beat the competition's prices. Being a Miller guy, I was also kept up to date with new products, and Toll's reliability and aggressiveness made me look good.
