“Welcoming and wonderful and fun. I've never enjoyed working out before, and Solcana has helped me change my mindset about movement. The trainers all know what they're talking about and how to help you improve, AND they are thoughtful and supportive about the ways that can look different for every person. Highly recommend if you are looking to get stronger and cooler!”
“This is an incredible gym! I visited on my travels to Minneapolis and was very impressed with the gym, workout, coach, and community. Ben has a very intentional approach and has cultivated an incredible community. The workout was very scaleable for participants of varying activity levels. I went to breakfast with some lovely members after (Aimee, Erika, Jill, and many more that I can't name because I'm bad with names haha). Everyone was so warm and welcoming. Can't say enough good things about this gym and community!”
“Caden was beyond helpful when helping me sign up. I toured plenty of other gyms in the area and Caden made this one feel different. All the equipment is clean and updated. Everything I will need for my workouts are in one area. Plenty of free weights and a large turf. Highly recommend!!”

“I can’t say enough good things about this gym. I was new to the city and looking for a CrossFit community, and I’m so glad I found this place. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and supportive from day one. I really appreciate that they meet you where you’re at, whether you’re new to CrossFit or more experienced. The coaches are amazing, encouraging, knowledgeable, and always willing to help you grow at your own pace. It’s such a positive environment that makes showing up feel easy. Highly recommend!”
“A pretty nice snap fitness. Lots of variety of weights and exercise equipment. I have a personal trainer through here and she is great. You can tell the owner cares about the quality of his gym. I think gym etiquette could be better encouraged among the gym goers like putting stuff back, but aside from that, this is a great gym. Would recommend!”

“I’ve never liked group fitness until I came across Basecamp. It’s the perfect workout. You always leave sweating and like you got a good workout. The staff are amazing and so friendly. I started on a free trial and I’m absolutely hooked. I would 10 out of 10 recommend it!!!! The neon lights are just an added plus. I like it so much I canceled my Lifetime Fitness membership after 5 years… if that tells you anything”

“I LOVE this community. They are worth every penny and invest tremendously in supporting their members. The community is warm and welcoming to new folks, and the instructors are skilled and encouraging. I have been a member since 2020. They have helped me break through my limiting beliefs, crush my goals, and tap into a more powerful and courageous lifestyle.”
“I absolutely love Lions Gym. This is so much more than your average gym. Dr. Stephen is really remarkable in so many ways. He and his staff make sure every member is comfortable and feel at home every time you walk in the door. His approach to wellness is truly unique in finding the best possible way to help heal your body. I’ve suffered back problems my entire life and have used chiropractic for many years, but Dr. Stephen’s approach is so much more advanced and treats the entire body in correcting your individual problems and pain. He truly cares about his patients and their overall health. I highly recommend Lions Gym for anyone seeking help.”

“My husband and I join NE Fitness in 2021 and I have attended more than 400 classes, we love it! I don't really like exercising, so having a coach and a class full of accepting, friendly people, really helps me accomplish my workout goals! Everyone can put what they want into each class, when I really push myself I walk out with a sense of accomplishment and a better mood than I walked in with. I have dreaded going to class on some days, but have always walked out so glad that I showed up. Clare, Monica, Liz, Jean, Ruth, Paige and all others have helped with improving my body mechanics and encouragement to challenge myself. I love that there are 30 min Express classes that I can get to after work and still be home to cook dinner. Keep up the great work NE friends!”

“I’ve been training at North Loop Gym for a couple of years, and it’s one of those places I’m almost reluctant to review because I’d really prefer it remain a little-known gem.
If you’ve grown tired of big-box gyms with influencers filming every set and a vibe more like a nightclub, this is the opposite. North Loop Gym is welcoming, unpretentious, clean, and full of people who are genuinely dedicated to their training. It’s busy enough to feel alive but never so crowded that you spend half your workout waiting for equipment.
I discovered North Loop Gym when my trainer, Carl Champion, moved his personal training business there. I’ve worked with Carl for more than four years, and it has been one of the best investments I’ve made in my health. He’s knowledgeable, encouraging, and knows exactly when to push you and when to adjust the plan. He’s helped me become stronger, more confident in the gym, and discover an entirely new way to train after years of focusing primarily on yoga and running.
So yes, this is an outstanding gym with an outstanding trainer.
Please check it out.
…But also, maybe don’t tell too many people. I’d really like to keep being able to find an open squat rack. 😉”

“This is a tough workout! Mostly strength-based but done in a circuit format that also tests your cardio. We are still sore two days later so that's always a good sign. Friendly staff and nice space and facilities.”

“Supportive group training. Even though it's a group , because of the intensive workout no one pays attention to much to the other people so you do your own thing. The coaches monitor and correct form if needed. It is fast paced and a hard great workout but you can go at your level by slowing down or using lower weights or none, no judgement. You do you! The only things I would say is it took me 4-5 workouts to understand the language used like what a pod is and when shown the 9 or so workouts before starting it really is hard to remember the technique shown due to the number of workouts and I have found myself definitely forgetting and doing workouts wrong, granted, usually corrected but sometimes not on time and then have a soreness not supposed to be there. Overall though great workouts and support! Hard core!”

“I absolutely love this place. After being at a couple disasterous gyms where I saw no results, I decided to make a change and joing Anytime Fitness. And I am so glad I did. After, I had a health scare after having COVID towards the end of 2021, I knew I had to make a permanent change on my health and well-being. I started working with Brian. He completely help me and gently guided me to where I want to be physically, mentally and emotionally. Brian can attest that I can be stubborn and I can make excuses, but he really pushed me in his Brian way to help me achieve my goals. So far, I've smashed them and I know I will smash the goals I've created for myself now.
Along with Brian, the entire staff like Paul and Morgan and Gabe and Amanda are absolutely phenomenal and kind and highly knowledgeable with whatever health and nutrition question you have. Their group workouts are an absolute blast and I strongly suggest taking them.
Also, I didn't expect this, but I've made friends at the gym that I am always happy to see. Thank you Anytime Fitness Uptown for making me feel like I belong and make me feel I can be me.”
“I took my first Barry’s class in Minneapolis and I loved it so much!! I was a little anxious but the everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Sam was an awesome instructor — great music, high energy, and I never felt pressured to go beyond my limit which I appreciated. I would definitely take her class again if we come back to MN in the future!”

“My favorite climbing gym out of the 12 I've been to! The community here is welcoming and awesome- staff and members are genuinely great people that I enjoy seeing around and spending time with. Plus, the route setting is fun, and the wooden sauna is especially nice in the winter. They host cool events and there's monthly meet ups for all sorts of identity groups, which makes getting into climbing a lot more approachable, imo.”

“Tangletown CrossFit is without a doubt the BEST gym in the Minneapolis area! As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I can attest to the amazing attention to detail that is put in the programming here. The warm-ups and WODs are excellent! The coaching is fantastic, and the members are very warm and welcoming. Teresa (the owner) does a great job maintaining an excellent gym that will definitely make you stronger and more robust if you're willing to put in the time and regularly attend workouts! Definitely reach out to TangleTown Crossfit if you're in the Minneapolis area and looking for a great gym to join!!”
“Felt at I was part of the community right away – both coaches and members were so welcoming and friendly. The workout was tough but fun, with great coaching and encouragement. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Minneapolis (hopefully sooner). Absolutely recommend this place!”
“The owner Tim is a great guy we came form all from another state when our thing didn’t work for a reason he helped checks in. come sign up with him. Biggest anytime fitness I’ve seen too.”
“Was on a business trip and had a small window to visit a crossfit gym in the area. Contacted Coach Danny through his website to do a drop-in on two hours notice. He reached out immediately to say hey and come on in. Met me at the door, we chatted for a brief moment, hit a wod, then I was off to the airport. Super appreciative to be able to drop-in on short notice and enjoy an awesome crossfit set up. 10/10!”
“Experience was predictable, great place for the money can't argue with that.
Would recommend for novice and experienced martial combating and great arsenal for personal mma growth.”
“I rearranged my entire weekly training program so that I could train lower body twice in three days at Los. The equipment is top-tier, the environment makes you want to train hard as hell, and the staff is super friendly. And the week pass is $40, way more affordable than the corporate gyms. If I could give it a sixth star, I would.”
“Build Health Fitness Center is more than just a gym, it’s a true community. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the intentional culture that’s been built around support, accountability, and genuine connection. The leadership is fully committed, present, and invested in both the members and the surrounding community, which really sets this place apart.
The coaches care about people as individuals, not just numbers or memberships, and that shows in how they lead, motivate, and show up consistently. If you’re looking for a gym that prioritizes community, strong values, and leadership that actually walks the walk, Build Health Fitness Center is the place to be.”

“NOKO Strength is a fantastic local gym. I've been going for about 6 months and shocked by the progress I've made. Dori, the owner/coach/motivator-in-chief, is great to work with. Every day is a different work out so it keeps it energizing and new. I highly recommend folks of any fitness level to give it a shot.”
“I love this gym!! Been going for a few years now. The people are so great, but it's never crowded and I always get the machines I need. It's super clean, not loud, and easy to access. They could use a better elliptical, but it really has everything you need for a killer workout.”
“This place has a lot of potential and I really hope that they are successful. I live in north and have several neighbors who are members and love it- I have been a few times and would also like to join, but unfortunately the hours are not conducive to a working parent. I need them to be open either earlier than 6 or later than 8 and they have neither. Maybe once they get more established they can expand hours and I could join.”
“Love this gym! The staff and trainers really care and accommodate people at all ages and levels of ability. We have also gotten to know so many people, many of whom aren’t even in our training classes. We are in our ninth year and it has become part of our life style—something I would NEVER have imagined.”

“This place has been a wonderful introduction to Minneapolis. The people who run this location are warm, welcoming, and always happy to walk through the door. The instructors are top notch, encouraging, and keep the atmosphere playful and light while you’re making your way through a challenging workout. Can’t say enough good things! ❤️”
“Studio Me is such an uplifting, positive , and supportive gym. I’ve been going for about a month and I see positive changes in the way I feel . I really enjoy the attention the coaches give to each and every one of us in the semi-private lesson. I highly recommend Studio Me to anyone that wants to start their fitness journey!”
