The Tonka Cycle & Ski staff worked with the manufacturer to have them replaced, moved the bindings to the new set, AND offered a loaner set for him while he was waiting…..all of this at no cost.From the time we walked in to purchase the original set through the process of replacing them, it was clear the staff was focused on our satisfaction. I came in expecting to buy replacement shoes to accommodate my aging feet. Mike measured my feet... and steered me to a shoe insert specific to cycling and adjusted my shoes' cleat position. “I brought my bike in to have the hydraulic disc brakes looked at. Another bike shop had recently "serviced" my brakes, but the braking power didn't feel right after a couple visits for "adjustments" to the brakes, so I brought the bike into Bicycle Chain for a second opinion. I talked to Matt, who explained to me what the problems might be and that he would take a look at it. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and helpful, so I left the bike with him to troubleshoot the issue. He emailed me later that day to let me know that the bike was ready to go. I thought that was amazing given that my "regular" shop usually took a few days to fix something, and that was after I had made an appointment days in advance. When I came by the shop to pick up my bike, Matt explained to me what he did to fix the issue. I tested the brakes and was very happy and amazed by the results. The brakes felt better than they did when I bought the bike 3 years ago!! I VERY HIGHLY recommend the Bicycle Chain for service. Matt and the rest of the staff are extremely knowledgeable and VERY helpful. Bicycle Chain will definitely be my "go-to" shop in the future. I don't care that it's twice as far away. Thanks again, Matt and the Bicycle Chain staff, for an incredible bike shop experience.”
“This has been my favorite shop to go for especially for winter sports, i can’t talk enough about how great of a job they do here and how quick it can be done sometimes. This season has been all over the place with me for equipment i’ve had bindings break and skis remounted, boots din tested. All of which was done amazing and i was honestly shocked at the turn around. The first time i went in it was my first day out and my binding had completely shattered through the brakes, i went in and Jack helped me out with the options and then Chris got them done within the hour!!! and i was right back out skiing. The second time i was getting my setup changed and decided to switch some boots Taylor fitted a bunch for me and unfortunately they didn’t work but when i finally found the ones i did he got them mounted within 2 days and i was right back into my season. I really could talk for hours about this place, definitely the spot to go for your outdoor needs. Also wanna add the amount of knowledge these guys have and take seriously about these sports is amazing.”
“The store manager and another associate took the time to find the perfect bike and answer all my questions. They even put a reflector on the frame of the bike instead of the seat pole so that my seat could go lower. They picked out the best color and helped get it ordered. Pick up was wonderful too. They put the kickstand on when I decided I wanted one when I picked it up. They also mounted the bike lock I purchased when I picked it up. All around the store on Lyndale ave MN is the best store. I had went to 3 other stores and none of them compare to the one on Lyndale ave in MN. Overall they were very patient and willing to work with me to find the perfect bike.”
