“I recently came back to the Twin Cities to empty out a storage unit, which included needing to ship my beloved vintage Schwinn. I had had a really terrible week--between the difficulties of moving and an unexpected family death, I was really worn out. I was short on time too and pretty desperate to find someone who could box it for me and help me ship it. The first shop I tried was dismissive and told me the bike wasn't worth the trouble but Grand Performance immediately treated me and my love for my bicycle with respect and kindness. They couldn't box it that day but offered to take it and box it later for a BikeFlights shipment. They had such knowledgeable things to say about that era of Schwinns and when I apologized for it not being worth much, they affirmed that my attachment to it was worth enough (worth everything, actually, is what they said). That this is a racing shop is an even greater testament to how they treat everyone who comes through their door, no matter who they are and what kind of bicycle they have. You don't have to know anything about bikes or own something fancy to be welcomed here. This is how a bike shop should be and I can't thank them enough for their help that day.”

She was so encouraging, and she guided him to learn one skill at a time till he was pedaling like a pro by the end of the lesson.”
