“I had some aggravating bumper scars on my Chevy Volt from a parking-lot hit-and-run. After getting an estimate from a USAA-approved shop I took it in at the appointed dropoff time, only to be told that they weren’t qualified to work on plug-in cars—even though this work was nowhere near any high voltage. They referred me to another shop, which gave me an estimate (after a 3-day wait for an appointment). However, they didn’t seem interested in such a small job (and said they’d need the car for a week), so I passed on that one.After seeing the Apple Valley MN CARSTAR as another approved shop on USAA’s website, I called them. They got me in for an estimate right away ($300 less than the other two), and said they’d need the car for 3-4 days and would call with appointment options (predicted to be in a couple of weeks).The promised call came quickly; they said they had a cancellation and could get me in the next morning (a Tuesday). I brought it in, and they gave me a ride home, so I didn’t need to arrange that.The work was done by that Thursday afternoon, and the bumper looks like new again. (Plus, they returned the car cleaner than when I brought it in, inside and out.) Highly recommended; they’re now my “go-to” shop should I be unfortunate enough to need bodywork again.”

“The best, most honest service I've had on my car that I can recall. Our 2 year old car was neglected being serviced (our fault) and when I took it in to the dealership, I was given a quote for a new engine for $16,000. I was considering scrapping the car. I had the vehicle oil flushed and brought it directly to Jeff, Sean and Doug at BP (Mendota/Rosemount - same owner). They did a full inspection of the vehicle and determined that I did not need a new engine. Two days later I am driving the car. I will never return to the dealership. I highly recommend these guys! Shop locally and support small business if you want honest estimates.”

As I pulled up to the shop, I was relieved to see, the OPEN light still on in neon bright colors, and the guy from the phone call (Forgot his name, I apologize) reclined waiting for my arrival. I didn't get a chance to get inside, but needed some air for one of my car tires and for the kids stroller that I keep in the trunk, surprisingly the air pump was for free and no limit on the time.”
“A rare gem in the south metro!Recently had our van brought in because of an oil leak at our intake manifold. They were able to get the job done quickly and cleaned up all the residual oil.After the repair, there was a valve noise heard intermittently - we called Pro Tech and they were super responsive - had us bring the van back and checked out the issue without any fuss. They figured out an old o-ring seal was the culprit allowing a valve actuator to not function properly and repaired the o-ring free of charge.This is a place that truly stands behind their work and an very impressed with the entire experience.
