“I recently had someone suggest that I try Mill City Running the next time I needed new workout/walking shoes. I had been experiencing some discomfort with my current shoes and figured it was worth seeing if there was something better suited for me. I honestly had no idea how thorough their G.A.I.T. Analysis would be, especially considering they provide it at no cost. They took the time to ask questions about what I was looking for, scanned and measured my feet (see attached for result image), evaluated how I walked, and then used all of that information to recommend shoes specifically matched to me. Alex worked with me throughout the process, and I cannot say enough about how patient and knowledgeable he was. Based on the assessment, he brought out five different pairs of shoes, and what really impressed me was that all five were excellent matches. Each one felt noticeably better and made sense based on what the testing had shown. From there, Alex explained the pros and cons of each shoe, how they differed, and what each might be better suited for. There was never any pressure to buy anything, and I never felt rushed. It was simply a very professional, individualized experience. After trying everything and talking through the differences, I narrowed it down to two pairs; one for working out and another for walking. What impressed me most was that this wasn’t just “trying on shoes.” There was actually a process behind the recommendations, and Alex clearly understood how to connect the results of the testing with the shoes he selected. I walked in looking for new shoes and walked out feeling like I actually understood why those particular shoes were right for me. “We couldn't go and buy tickets for the baseball game because we had paid for the college reunion events. So instead we looked around in their store and bought other things to take home. I bought a keychain wooden bat, a stress reliever pink squishy pig toy, and a blue T-shirt with their logo. My older sister bought a magnet for the fridge, a mug shaped like the state of Minnesota, and a Black T-shirt with the Baseball Team logo on it. And we chatted with the 2 sales clerks. I took a picture of this large Pirate Ship which was in the baseball yard. When there is a home run fireworks are shot out from this area. It is a nice Baseball store to visit while in St.Paul, MN.We came here after visiting the St. Paul Farmer's Market which is steps away. It was a fun, hot day minus that horrible rainstorm that showed up at 2:00 P.M.”

The outdoor retailer plans to open a 100,000-square-foot store in College Station, Texas, in 2028. It'll sit along State Highway 6, north of William D. Fitch Parkway, next to a Costco and in front of the future South College Station baseball and softball complex. On Sept. 24, the College Station City Council approved a $10.84 million sale of 28 acres in a unanimous vote. Bass Pro gets about 14 acres for its store. Dallas-based Corinth Properties will build a mixed-use project with restaurants and an event plaza on the other 14.
