“Beds aren’t very comfortable, pillows are definitely older and don’t stay up anymore. Was told 21 year olds often come in and make noise. Had a nice front task employee, they did type my address and card number into their computer which I found kinda weird since most just ask to put the card into a reader.”

“IWhen I arrived for my first stay here, Keith at the front desk gave excellent, welcoming customer service. Angie helped me with ordering a meal and delivering it to my room - which was wonderful after a long day.
The next day, I needed a better speakerphone on my room phone. Kevin promptly helped me get a phone with a better speakerphone so I could do a scheduled conference call. Thank you so much, Kevin!
Sarah at the front desk helped quickly in asking Kevin to find a better phone--another friendly and professional and helpful person at Hilton Garden Inn Shoreview.
Thank you ALL for your excellent customer service.

Rooms: Rooms are clean, and beds are very comfortable.”

“My husband and I recently spent four nights at the St Paul Hotel while attending the Minnesota Yacht Club music festival. The location was the initial draw as it was walking distance to the venue. We travel quite a bit and have stayed in many nice hotels and we both agreed that this was one of our favorites! The building itself is beautiful and our room was immaculate. Some of the best room service and house keeping we’ve experienced. The St Paul Grill is the onsite restaurant and the food and service was superb! A bit pricey but well worth it. There is also a lobby bar which has coffee and pastries in the mornings or you can have breakfast at the Drake which was also amazing. It’s rare that we leave a place with no complaints but it happened during this stay! Book a stay at the St Paul. You will not be disappointed!”

“Couldn't give it a 5 due to low water pressure and hairs in the shower. That being said, everything else was fantastic! Huge shout out to Michelle at the front desk who checked us in. Best customer service ive had in a long time. Stayed here a few times and never really had an issue. Great location, valet parking and all the amenities.”

“I really liked Emery. Spy house cafe located in the same area. If you're looking to dress up for a nice evening gathering, good food and cocktails this is a great go-to or even just for coffee. Loved the architectural design.
Parking might be a bit tricky since it's located right in the heart of Minneapolis.”

“I stayed here one night for a concert at the palace theater on a Saturday night. My friend and I walked to the palace and back and felt safe.
Look up on the hotels website where they recommend to park. If you're prepared, it's easy enough.
Interesting history to the hotel gave some charm to staying here vs any other cookie cutter hotel. Rooms were clean and the free breakfast was delicious. The food and drinks at the hotel bar/restaurant was delicious but a little pricey. We were prepared for that being in the city though. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm ever needing to be in the area.”

“******update- The hotel staff reached out to me and he was extremely embarrassed that the room was in this state and assured me the issue would be resolved. We stayed again while we were in town and this time the room was perfect!!

We stayed January 24th for a quick overnight before a flight out the next morning. We arrived late and when we got to our room the carpet by our bathroom was completely ripped up and the wood floor board was even exposed. And the wall tile was completely coming off. See photos. I am not sure how anyone cleaning this room can’t see this as a problem. I wouldn’t expect a place of this caliber to have this be their standard. I was completely shocked they would put us in a room with this at the price you pay to stay here. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.”

“Fantastic hotel! I would rate this place far above other hotels. Incredibly clean and kept! A lot of attention to detail. I’m super anal about my hotels and this is seriously the best I’ve seen! Service was above and beyond and service/food in their restaurant will have me return. I am so surprised with our stay. We WILL be back. Impressed with their care and upkeep. No wear and tear noticed. All up to date. Thanks to the entire staff!!!!”

“This is probably my favorite Hilton property I've stayed at as an adult.

The room with a view and a tub was great, staff were super on top of it (house keeping somehow turned around our room while we were downstairs at Cosmos for Breakfast).

Our mini fridge was on the fritz but everything else was so top notch we barely noticed.”

“It is the perfect location for the Target center activities and parking. The rooms were clean and nice. We had a basic queen room and we were there for two nights. Very nice experience. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Everyone that we had contact we very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely stay again when I can.”

“I stay here pretty much every time I go to St Paul. The rooms are clean, the pool is heated, and there's a hot tub. The gym is also pretty great, especially for a hotel.”

“I loved this themed based hotel. The check in was smooth and easy with very friendly college students. The entry area offers a great study area with lighting, receptacles for your laptops or tablets. A nice sitting area with a fireplace for those cold days and/or nights. There're a bar, dining area, Starbucks, Dunkin, Top Golf and shuffleboard.
Our room had character, the bed was comfortable and offered refrigerator and small coffee maker. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here. Also being right in the middle of the college you had so much within walking distance, or you could take the train.”

“I ended up switching rooms because there was this high pitched ringing that the front desk attendant, Erin, even said would drive her nuts. The new room was apparently chain-smoked in, but Erin was so sweet and gave me a full can of air freshener as there were no other available rooms. Also, their parking garage (that you pay for) doesn't fit all guests so I ended up parking in the Hospital parking lot across the street. Erin did put in a note that if there are rooms that open that I will switch rooms to a less smelly room. And they don't provide continental breakfast. If you would like breakfast at the hotel it will cost you $12 for horrible looking eggs, dinkylittle sausages, 1/2 fried potatoes and some cereal. If you would like internet that is faster than a tortoise, you will need to pay extra.

Rooms: They are fairly spacious, included a microwave, mini-fridge, TV, and coffee pot. Just a stand in shower, no bath tub. My 2nd room had a broken frame around the mirror and smelled horribly of cigarettes.”

“Quinn is fantastic! Very professional, very respectful and very sweet! He deserves all the five starts plus!
A manager came to our room and asked if we needed anything. Took the dirty towels and brought fresh ones.

Noteworthy details: Served free milk and cookies at 10:00pm. What a sweet treat!!!
And great idea!”

“Rented a room for 1 night for me and my girlfriend. Used the hotel room bathroom around 2AM and somehow plugged the toilet. Went down to the front desk around 2:30AM to ask the night manager for a plunger, as one was not provided in our bathroom, at which point the manager stubbornly got up to look for one. He didn't venture ten feet away from his chair in his attempt to find me a plunger at which point he gave up the search and decided this was too taxing of a guest request, and decided on a more simple solution: to assign us a new room... At 2:30 in the morning. We had 8 bags & suitcases with us in our hotel room, all pretty much unpacked, our things scattered throughout the room, so we had to pack everything up in our room and move to a new room. By the time we were done, it was approximately 3:30AM. So... I'm running on like 3 hours of sleep today because this night manager couldn't muster up enough energy to find us a simple toilet plunger. Not happy at all.”

“Rooms: Went for destination wedding for my grandson. They accommodated everyone with ease.

Walkability: Convient to nearby stores and restaurants

Food & drinks: Great breakfast buffet”

“The hotel was quiet. Staff was friendly.

We stayed in one of the suites and the room was clean, the best part was the heated bathroom floors and the rain shower. If I were to stay here again I would probably just do a regular room though.

Downsides were the breakfast (cereal and granola bars) and it would have been nice to have a stocked minibar.

We did drive, the parking lot they recommended was pretty good, around 15 dollars a day, but Saturday night the lot had event pricing for one of the shows at a nearby theatre.”

“Wow, let me tell you what amazing service I received from Danielle Wade. Mrs. Wade the front desk guest service representative from Tru Hotel went a step above to WOW me as a loyal guest. Not only did she went a step above but she gave me 110% amazing guest service. This is what I look for when I stay at Hilton Hotel's. Thanks for treating me like I was a VIP...”

“I had a pleasant stay at the Days Hotel by Wyndham on University Avenue. The room was neat, clean, and well‑maintained, which made the stay comfortable from the start. The location is a big plus — it’s close to downtown and has convenient access to the public metro train, making it easy to get around without needing a car.

The breakfast in the morning was another highlight, with a good variety of options to choose from. It was a nice way to start the day before heading out. Overall, the stay was good, and the hotel offers solid value for anyone looking for a clean, well‑located place with reliable amenities.”

“I loved this hotel. It felt like luxury without breaking the bank. Our beds were the only thing knocking this from 5 to 4 stars, since the bedding was disappointing and left us cold. A special thanks to the front desk worker Chloe; some of our friends interacted with her and thought she was wonderful and helpful. I saw a review saying there was not room for them to park which was worrying but there is a whole second level so this was not a problem, not sure if they saw that. TV was a good size also.”

“Travelled there for a day, common nice rooms and nice staffs... Saw online review and was planning not to stay but at that great price took a risk and its worth it... Why people been giving bad reviews what can you except for a budget friendly pocket”

“Rooms were average and water pressure was a little lackluster but the atmosphere of the hotel and the staff were amazing. The continental breakfast had tons of options (hot and cold) and is one of the nicer ones we’ve encountered.

Nearby activities: We attended a wedding at the como park conservatory and my husband walked around the free como zoo and said it was amazing.”

“Other than the place being a little dated, I was very pleasantly surprised by the hospitality. The room I was in had a kitchenette, a mid sized refrigerator, comfortable be and was very clean. I love the location right on the U of M campus next to the frat houses.”
