“The staff are friendly. Frames are expensive but great quality. You get what you pay for.
I got frames here for a few pieces that were not standard measurements and went to Michael's for frames that were. The feel of the frames and how they are put together is night and day.
I will come back if I get something else I want a special frame for or one that needs custom framing.

“Really high quality pieces here, and super friendly guy working in there. I just wanted a cheap piece while I was in town visiting, and picked up a little sherlock. At first I thought it was a little overpriced, but I didn't realize how good it was until I got home. Perfect ergonomics for hand placement, and a couple of subtle design features that added to its beauty. Definitely one that I'll give to a friend when I leave, rather than throw it away. Great artists working there.”

As a book store, XIA has a great selection of books, with focus on AAPI authors. The store also greatly supports many local authors. All of employees are so helpful in recommending books.
The in-store cafe has many delicious drinks, pastries, and snacks; the barista is always so friendly. I love grabbing a Vietnamese coffee and croissant while looking for a new read.
Overall, this book store is a wonderful place to visit in the heart of St. Paul!”
“This artist space is newer to me but it packs a lot of charm. The tight corners and winding hallways lead to a variety of studios with a plethora of art to admire and take home. I've always had a good time with artists here and never felt like I was pressure to purchase any pieces. If you walk further down the main hallway you'll find yourself in the carriage house with even more studios and a great leatherwear store which you can buy cut to order belts among other accessories for a fair price.”

“After literally getting around 30 things framed here over time, I'm finally reviewing! Khahn is the best in the business, hands down.
Met him at an art crawl, checked out his gallery, and knew I found my guy. He's a total perfectionist who knows his stuff and gives fantastic recommendations. I recently trusted him to reframe an authentic Matisse, which tells you everything you need to know about his skill level.
We also love popping into his gallery to see what he's showing and have bought a couple of cool pieces from him. Plus, he's just a really nice guy! Highly recommend!!!”

“I loved this shop! It was my first time and it seemed to be the only one of its kind open on Sunday. Each seller has their own style, yet they all compliment to make a very dynamic place to spend some of a day off. Mostly vintage but what is super special is some of the original art....seems like they score some interesting lots. They let me take pics of things I may want to come back for. Customer service was incredible and I actually had a very meaningful conversation with Chris, whi was running the show. Very knowledgeable. Ill be back for sure!”

“We have had Icebox frame several pieces for us over the years and their workmanship is fantastic. Their frames are beautifully constructed, and they have an excellent eye for the right frame, the right mat, the right proportion.
Not only is the workmanship lovely, it also stands the test of time. Pieces that we have had framed elsewhere were not always properly sealed, and small bugs would get behind the glass. We have never had any piece that Icebox framed, slip behind the mat.
Over the years, I have referred friends and clients to Icebox for framing unusual items, or as a resource for fine art photography. Without exception, everyone has been very pleased.”
