“I like to get the catfish plate on Fridays and it’s usually good. Today the catfish was overcook and hard. Should not even have served this catfish. Whoever is on the frier today must be distracted. Very disappointed!”
“This is a great convenience store. There are a variety of snacks to choose from. The gas prices are a normal price. The store is clean and doesn’t seem cluttered. The prices for the snacks are great. The people working up there are fair to get along with. I recommend this store.”

“I came across a review of L & A Food Mart on Facebook about three months ago and saved it on Google Maps to try one day. Well, today (9/26/2025), I finally made it over there—and I’m so glad I did!
I ordered six wings (no sides this time) and one pork chop. As soon as I got home and took my first bite, I was hooked. The wings and pork chop were perfectly seasoned, smoked just right, and super tender. The sauce was really good too—not too sweet, just how I like it.
I didn’t get any sides this time, but after that first experience, I’ll definitely be trying them on my next visit.
Only one small thing: a few of the wing tips still had some feathers on them. Not a big deal—I just pulled them off myself. Maybe the cook can double-check that before smoking next time, but honestly, it didn’t take away from how good everything was.
I usually go to another BBQ spot in Jackson that I’ve liked for a while, but L & A Food Mart might just win me over. If they ever start serving rib tips, I might have to “break up” with my old spot and stick with L & A full-time!
Hands down, some of the best BBQ in the Flowood area. I’ll be back Monday for lunch!”

“Just stopped in for some gas on my way home from work, and there in the hot box was a big... beautiful cinnamon roll, it was cooked all the way through, it was really really good and hit the spot. I was cold from the rain, and it warmed me right up. If you're a fat kid like me, or not, get one!!!! So good!!!!! I'da taken a picture but I didn't know how good it was gonna be until I ate it so I decided to get on here and leave a review. So few gas stations are open late, so I'm glad I stopped in there. The cashier was polite and friendly.”

“The employees and manager of this store are good as gold! On a long trip home from Texas back to North Carolina, I left my wallet in the bathroom. The wallet had a heavy amount of cash inside due to a trip to the casino while on vacation. The employee, Cassidy, could have easily pocketed the money but she didn't. I am forever grateful to her and the entire staff at this establishment.”

“I use the pharmacy in Pearl Ms always have they close at 7 every night. So I called last night and spoke to a sweet young lady name Amanda at Brandon Walgreens. They stay open till 8 every night. I had a question for her she stayed on the phone. Until she found out what was going on with my baby medicine. I love the staff at Walgreens in Pearl they had closed. Brandon Walgreens staff very professional and kind too. Amanda just amazing ?”
“I came to this location to have passport pictures taken for my kids. I had only 30 minutes to spare and CVS didn’t disappoint. I had the pictures done within a few minutes and was able to make our appointment no problem . The young lady that assisted us was very nice and helpful.”
