“Atmosphere is definitely a vibe, love the grocery store in the front and restaurant in the back, it’s not a big place but the food is worth it. I went with the Moletes and Ribeye Quesadillas, and some Churros, they were all good but kissed some spice, I think anted some more spice on them but didn’t have the red sauce. Other than that this place is definitely a vibe and I’ll be back to try other things on the menu, and speaking of I like that they have QR codes for menus, it’s 2024 and having that is very up to date”

“Amazing quality and great deals, especially on the frozen goods. On the shelf stable items, some prices are better than others; some items are priced comparably or even more expensive than Walmart but they are better than the smaller local grocery stores. As long as you know your prices (it’s hard to check the Walmart app or website while you’re there because cell phone service isn’t great), it’s still well worth a visit. If you don’t already need groceries from Walmart, the convenience is worth not having to make a special trip or pay local grocery store prices even for the deals that aren’t quite as good.”

“I love shopping at target for groceries because a lot of times they have products that I can’t find at Walmart. It’s also an amazing curbside delivery service that they offer. Usually when I pull up to get my order, they are standing outside waiting for me.”

“Just the right size. I like having a grocery store that isn't gigantic, but is still fully stocked. I don't feel like it took all day to get in and out of.”

“Plate lunches have large servings. I always get mine to go because I know there will be enough to for dinner as well. Good food, great price. They also have non-ethanol gas for my lawn mower.”

“The very loud recorded welcome made me jump as I entered. Then the security guard on the loud speaker asking the staff member if everything was okay was also startling. But I am pleased to know that DG cares enough to take these safety precautions.”

“Where else can I buy sweet melon bread, fresh fish, imported curry mix, and squid jerky? If you want ingredients and snacks to suit a more adventurous appetite, this is where to look.”

“This convenient store also has a Hunt Brothers Pizza in it, and OMG, those are the Best pizzas if you add extra cheese! We usually get Lotsa Meat with Black olives and extra cheese. They're all the same size pizzas, and you can add ANY AND AS MANY toppings as you want for no extra charges! My reason for the four stars instead of five is because they have less variety of 2- liter drinks, and they're gas prices are usually gouged up!! Also, Dollar General is right next door, so you can go there and get pretty much the same things for lower prices! However, overall, this store is a nice store! I definitely will btoe back to this store! ??‍♀️”

“Truckers if ya delivering here take highway 49 all the way down to Edward Street then you'll come to a light that's across from Sullivan's keep straight and the dock door will be between a trailer and the building. Hope the pictures below help some . Really nice and friendly, Didn't take too long to be unloaded.”

“This place never disappoints me even if I go once ever blue moon. I got to become a frequent customer. The food was good. I loved how hot and soft the fish was. ?”

“So normally Walmart or Corner Market if I am in a hurry but some said Winn Dixie had great prices on meat so we went to check it out. I had to ask an employee if I understood the price to be correct. I can't believe the deals we got, but especially on steaks. And I got my favorite lotion, which is normally over $10 on their $1.25 aisle. Another bonus to shopping at Winn Dixie. Gave them 4 stars bc sometimes the lines are slow moving. Other than that, they are great!”

“Everything is great except the prices. Staff is generally a bit young and inexperienced. They make up by employing savvy, mature folks around the store. Positive and friendly atmosphere. Sometimes it's worth the extra cost to avoid the terrible experience of Walmart!!”

“Do not get excited about the sale prices unless you have loaded their app. The signs say nothing about needing the app. Then the cashier informs you at checkout, "You only get the sale price $2.99 if you have the app. So it will cost you $6.99." No wonder so many people drive the extra distance to Aldi's or Walmart. None of this deception.”

“This is one of the better Dollar Generals they have a lot in stock and lots of room to shop unlike most Dollar Generals that are small. This one is worth going out of the way for if you can because they have a lot more items than most Dollar Generals”

“This store has some good cooked foods, however, they're expensive! They carry a wide variety of things and some things that the other nearby stores don't carry, such as particular flavored vapes. This was general purpose for stopping here because I usually go to Circle K, right across the street from here. They also have a seating area to sit down and eat, which is nice. The staff have been friendly every time I've come here too. They carry so much stuff, I can't list it all! They do have a phone number that you can call for any questions or to order food before you go.”

“Very nicely stocked. Very friendly employees, with smiling faces. Came here because it was close to my dentist appointment and because Wally world is a nightmare when bad weather is immanent. They actually had bread and milk ☺️
Seth was my cashier. Very good service.”

The street tacos from the grill are amazing, and though the carnitas is our favorite, we also love the carne asada, il pastore, and cabeza & we’re working our way through their other numerous delicacies. They load them up with all of your favorite toppings and it’s the best priced fill your belly with great food meal in Hattiesburg. The staff is soooo amazing and friendly. Don’t forget to get some pan dulce from their large selection for breakfast in the morning!PS: my hubby lives for the chicharones.”

“I was in here one day and there was only one cashier. The guy was obviously new bc there was a line (I was waiting in as well) and some older woman was getting mad that there wasn't more than one cashier with a line this long. The cashier, being new, was getting kind of nervous at the situation. The lady started demanding to see the manager and he called for him. The manager came and he asked if he could come help him check people out. The manager said, and I quote, "nah bro if you got less than 10 people in line then you good". The manager then turned around and walked off. The lady was really mad at this and started giving the cashier a hard time. I'll hand it to the cashier though, he apologized to the woman and handled it well. Didn't catch his name but he was a pretty professional guy and handled himself well, despite being new.”

“The store went through a remodel recently and the staff is working very hard to restock it up to what it used to be. They also just hired an extremely hot manager (I think that is her position, who knows). Anyways happy shopping everyone.”

“Upon the fair town of Hattiesburg, where the Southern sun doth cast its golden rays, there lies a jewel of commerce, Tienda La Libertad. This emporium of epicurean delight stands as a testament to the gallant spirit of diversity and unity.

As I, a humble servant of the genteel traditions of the South, ventured into this establishment, I was greeted not by the echoes of a bygone era but by the harmonious symphony of cultures converging. The air was redolent with the fragrance of spices that spoke of lands afar, and the vibrant hues of produce arrayed like a painter’s palette promised feasts fit for valiant souls.

The shelves, a veritable Aladdin’s cave, were laden with goods that would have stirred the heart of any storied general. There, amidst the cornucopia of Latin American provisions, one could procure the finest ingredients for a repast: beans as rich as the soil of the Mississippi Delta, rice as white as cotton fields in bloom, and sauces as spirited as the bravest cavalry.

The proprietors, with the grace and hospitality that is the hallmark of the South, presided over their domain with a benevolence that would have made any Southern gentleman proud. Their wisdom in the culinary arts was as boundless as the Mississippi itself, guiding patrons in their selections with a gentle hand.

In the midst of this bountiful store, one could find confections that would sweeten the tongue and warm the soul, reminiscent of the tender care of Southern belles. The dulcet tones of pan dulce and the saccharine allure of caramelos were as comforting as a lullaby beneath the magnolia trees.

As I took my leave, my heart swelled with the pride of having witnessed such a paragon of community and culture. Tienda La Libertad is not merely a store; it is a beacon of hope, a place where the valorous spirit of the South meets the zestful soul of Latin America.

Let it be known that Tienda La Libertad, situated in the bustling heart of Hattiesburg, serves as a shining example of the rich tapestry that is our beloved South, offering a taste of Latin America to all who seek its delights.”

“Good people but not very organized a lot of their items don't have prices on them so you have to take them to the cashier and when you look at the yellow bar that's supposed to display the items name and price often it would priced and labeled for a different item then the one on display.”
