They all work together seamlessly to make sure not only is your animal cared for excellently, but that you are cared for. I suffer from anxiety and they are aware of it and they really work to accommodate that with me if you don’t have an excellent vet, then you’re missing out because you need to go by Metrovet St. Louis.

One of their delicious regular flavors and then a second scoop of something new. Their staff is always super friendly.

7641 Wydown Blvd, ClaytonMy hubby and I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day at Akar and we were blown away at how amazing our experience was. The service and atmosphere were top notch. Each bite of food was a treat. We started off with the black garlic udon noodles and the lobster rangoons. The rangoons were crispy and had big chunks of lobster meat, while the black garlic udon noodles were cooked & flavored to perfection. For our entrees, we chose the scallop special and the lamb shank. The lamb was so tender, it fell straight off the bone. Both entrees were amazing and left us with borderline licked-clean plates. Highly recommend Akar to anyone looking for unique and flavorful dishes in the Clayton area. Quick note: they only take reservations via phone so be sure to call to save yourself some wait time, as the restaurant is on the smaller side.

Their lattes are amazing, with awesome seasonal specials (and the coffee cubes a must), plus I never leave without a muffin or almond cookie when ordering from the bar/counter. The atmosphere when you walk in immediately invites you to stay and is super cozy, great for when you want a place to work outside of the office or are catching up with a friend. The team is always super friendly and the food is always delicious!

We went here for the first time with the International Supper Club - an ad-hoc group of Yelpers who enjoy trying cuisines from other countries.
Bao are buns. We had a discussion at the table about what makes them unique but we never got to the bottom of it. I did a little research before sitting down to write this review and the answer is that it is a relatively standard dough that is steamed instead of baked. When the restaurant griddles them lightly they pick up an even more unique combination of flavors and textures.
I ordered a couple of appetizers: dumplings and wings. Both were quite good but the wings were the more unique of the two. Think of wings that are coated in a bunch of less common ingredients like lemongrass and rice powder and you're on the right track.
I chose the three little bao for dinner and they came out on a small wooden cutting board. The first one I grabbed turned out to be my favorite - it was stuffed with tempura-fried slices of tofu and yam then topped with a house-made sauce and a few leaves of cilantro. Next up was the pork belly, followed by the waygu beef. Odd as it seems, the first one remained my favorite by a long shot. I also snagged a bite of the kids' char siu bao and they were something I could see myself ordering on a future visit.

Peel Wood Fired Pizza
208 S Meramec Ave, ClaytonOverall this Clayton wood fired pizza and wings spot his most of the right notes. The wings were HUGE and well prepared and our party of five had 2 1/2 dozen with four different sauce preparations. All were excellent We also shared two pizzas ...a spicy sausage in red sauce and the wild mushroom with truffle oil on a white pie. Both wonderful the appetizer of baked Brie was perhaps the star of our shared meal. So why 4 stars? The appetizer took 25 minutes to arrive at our table and was followed by the wings 2 minutes latter and the pizza five minutes after that. We asked for them to pace the service so we could enjoy each fish. As it was dishes got cold because there was too much food on table at one time. So if you are thinking about ordering multiple courses I would suggest you wait until you finish one before ordering the next. You may also find that you order less overall with this strategy. The food was great the overall experience was marred by the over eager kitchen and perhaps a failure to communicate our wish by the server.
