“Friendly staff and a relaxed shopping experience. Grab a coffee and look for that book you've always wanted to read. Check out the media section as well for a wide selection of Criterion DVDs and blu rays.”

“Love Barnes and Noble. Large selection of books and games makes it a go to shopping destination for me. Took away one star because often the front desk/checkout is understaffed and this come across as the staff being a bit flustered and not as friendly as when they have more workers. Also the scattering of books on tables sometimes makes it harder to find what I'm looking for if it is not also in the genere/section.”

“This book store is why I love bookstores. The Novel Neighbor makes buying a book an adventure. Each genre is separated with clear signage and every section is filled with employee reviews. I love that the kids section has reviews and written by age appropriate readers! I could waste an afternoon just basking in this ambiance. Excellent small book store!”

“The staff here is always so friendly and kind. They always happily help you out with any books you need to find or anything you need. They will take any of your books for cash (not usually very much, but better than throwing them away). This is a wonderful place to just relax and peruse the isles. They have lots of books that new book stores and libraries may not have! Calendars, notebooks, travel books, all genres of literature, magazines, vinyls, CDs, vintage stuff, book merch, and movies!!”

“The Daughters of St. Paul are a wonderful, welcoming, and devout community of women devoted to spreading the Good News through their shop. Got the Bible and card that I needed for a Confirmation gift. Always to visit the sisters and the store.”

“Wonderful local bookstore in Clayton, MO. The staff were friendly. Wide selection of books. And had a Photo Booth to take pictures of your books (we’ll come back to do that later).”

“Seemed to overemphasize amount of queer stuff, really wanted a more traditional book store. Actually tired of all the political slant at bookstores. Do they really need pride flags and blm.....lets just focus on books and things that unite us please”

“I absolutely love Barnes and Nobles in general but In the STL area this one is my favorite! They always have a ton of manga and they keep their toys and merchandise in stock! On top of everything the people that work there are super sweet and they have a nice sit down cafe where you can do some work if need be! If you were looking for a book to read or just browse I would highly recommend this store!”

“A smallish, carefully curated bookstore! A place to browse and discovery wonderful books. A perfect selection of children's books, local interest and nature-lover's titles. I found two books I'd never heard of, and could scarcely walk across the street to me car without starting to read! (There's a large, free, public parking lot in back, btw). What a great find in (downtown?) Webster Groves!!”

“I have stopped in to this particular Reading Room several times over the course of 25 years - and several times in just the past few months. Each attendant has been warm and welcoming - delighted to share information in an easy, non-proselytizing way and equally as delighted to learn about you.”

“The STL area is so lucky to have The Book House! It is such a charming space--two entire stories of books, complete with shop cats! (What more could a book lover ask for?) The Book House is a great place to linger and explore--it has a really warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere (with huge shelves, books stacked on every available surface, it basically looks like every charming indie bookshop you see in movies.) They have a wonderful mix of new, used, and special edition books, and a nice selection dedicated specifically to STL-focused books. They also do a nice of spotlighting local authors, which is a welcome addition. I would say their on-ground selection skews more towards new books than used ones, but their small, dedicated used book section has lots of treasures, there are used books to be found throughout, and their online site also offers a lot of options in a range of price points. A delightful indie bookstore which is a cozy, welcoming place to spend an afternoon!”

“I have been going to Impact Christian book store for years. Books by E.W. Kenyon, Kenneth Having, Kenneth Copeland, Derek Prince, and many others. The staff are very helpful. Great store.”

“I have to give kudos to the staff at the Webster campus store. I had an issue with my online order, and I called the actual store to resolve the matter. The staff member was amiable and pleasant to speak to and solved the matter over the phone with no problem. Once again, thank you so much. Also, it was effortless to place an order on the internet. Great shopping experience!”

“Such a beautiful campus. My son is attending college prep classes here and their staff are just incredible. I hope he decides to study here after college. The university campus book shop is filled with every essential thing they could need being away from home and then some! The track and field are just gorgeous. The cafeteria is just beyond amazing!”

“Our niece wanted a specific game and Go! was the ONLY place in St. Louis. The team there was helpful, holding one for us until I visited two days later. The store has a fantastic variety of games for the entire family, and many other calendars and toys, too. On a Christmas shopping visit, it was almost too much to take in at once... but that's a great variety to pick from. The staff was friendly and helpful. We'll visit again!”

“The staff here are always accommodating, accurate, and efficient. Other reviewers seem unaware that this is merely a cafe that SERVES Starbucks coffee, not a Starbucks. It's not their fault they can't take your gift cards.”
