“It's kind of like a cross between a grocery store and a Trader Joe's or a health food store. Medium sized with more alternative options than your typical store.Pretty nice selection and relatively reasonable prices (although everything seems to have skyrocketed everywhere), with a lot of items that might be harder to find from some other places. Although occasionally missing a staple, like good taco shells, Northern beans or Sriracha, and some items seem oddly overpriced.A smaller grocery store by today's standards, but well stocked, reasonably veg friendly. You might find the odd thing they don't have and need to go to another grocery store, but a good first stop.Very little locally grown produce, seems to be almost entirely imported now.”

“This is the nicest, cleanest, and friendliest grocery store I’ve been in my 50 years of being alive. Prices are better than other grocery stores in the area. Today, I had the best and freshest salad from their salad bar I’ve ever eaten in my life. I wish their manager would teach my local Price Chopper in Platte City on how to manage it so I wouldn’t have to drive to Parkville. But, It’s definitely worth the drive.”

“The Meat and Seafood counter at the Hy-Vee in Gladstone 7113 n prospect is the best. Always attentive to there customers. If you are looking for something for what to make for dinner but didn't come with a plan. Stop by the meat counter first. Tell them what you like and the can will advise to options to please your palate. When ever I don't know what to fix I stop and speak with some of the middle aged and older gentleman. The have some pre prepped items like stuffed pork chops or preseasoned chicken or steak fajitas . You just pop them in the oven or skillet to cook.”

“I used to frequent this Dollar General nearly everyday, often times I didn't even have any money, and yet despite this the employees that work here on afternoons treated me with a hospitality that I haven't experienced at most other places. The employees are incredibly kind & patient and know exactly how to treat someone how they want to be treated, and honestly I can't thank them enough for always being able to tolerate me. ?”

“Clean. Stocked. Sales. That's this Hy Vee.Since my initial review, this Hy-Vee has become my main grocery store.USE THE PERKS REWARDS. My home signed up and the savings are consistent and the gas saver rewards can be down right audacious with some shopping strategy on sales.Speaking of which there's another major thing to know about this store.SHOP THE SALES ON FRIDAY.That's standard practice, but it's especially useful here. Sundays can be a bit barren, but that's also speaking to the values to be had. The shelves can, and will, get wiped out.I'm not sure who will find this, but this Hy-Vee is well known locally, so all information above is pretty common knowledge.”

“We love our Smithville Dollar General!!!! The staff goes out of their way to help us any time we need or ask for it. Great products, great clearance, great prices. Restroom has always been available & clean for us. Wish we could still get our rolls of quarters there for our laundry mat at our apt. but the manager said they can't do that for us anymore, & I guess I can understand that. Anyway great store great people except Aaron, he asks people for $ even when he's working. Don't care for him, but every1 else is awesome!!!”

“My daughter went into this store to get some snacks. She thought she had more money on her card than she did. When she got to the register is when she realized she didn't have enough. “A small but thoroughly stocked Middle Eastern market that just happens to be next door to my favorite Middle Eastern restaurant- Queen Sweets. I love popping in here while I'm waiting for carry-out next door or stopping for a specific item or two. This weekend I purchased halal gyro meat and fresh pita bread to make Gyros at home. My most frequent purchases have been candies or beverages to surprise my work crew or wife. Always unique and tasty options that break up the monotony of what you will find at "normal" grocery stores. A very nice owner that will always help you find what you are needing or make recommendations.”

“Store is just a typical small neighborhood gas station/convenience store. Good variety of convenience store items, decently clean store, bathroom was acceptably clean and stocked, employees were friendly and competent.As a part time wheelchair/forearm crutches user, I would not go to this store while using wheelchair, because it looks like it would be awkward to navigate through the store, as the aisles were long and narrow.Bathroom could fit chair, but I definitely wouldn't feel safe transferring to use toilet.I would not classify this building as 'wheelchair friendly'.”
