10419 Clayton Road, FrontenacI’ll start with a bit of a blunder on my side: I thought when I looked at the hours that they opened at 16:00 on weeknights and not 16:30, so when I walked through the unlocked door at about 16:25 and was asked “uh.. can I help you?” by the bartender, and when I said I was there for dinner and he said in a slightly dismissive tone that “we’ll help you in 5 minutes” …I wasn’t really sure what to expect.
I double checked the hours and, oops, I was there technically before they opened and was just kind of lurking by the entrance. My bad! But with still a couple minutes to go before they officially opened the hostess came by, I apologized for being early, tried cracking a joke that the food looked so good that I just couldn’t wait ect. And was reassured that it wasn’t a problem and I was sat down before the official opening of the restaurant. I felt equal parts embarrassed and like I was kind of a big deal 😆
I ordered their Polpetta for an appetizer and it was awesome! A massive meatball, perfectly cooked and topped with tomato sauce and pesto and ricotta cheese. I loved every bite and it paired so nicely with the wine I had ordered.
The entree was Lumaconi Vodka which was also really good with the Italian sausage and that nice creamy tomato/vodka sauce.
It was a lovely meal, which made it easy to forget about my “barging in before they’re even open” blunder.

2021 S Lindbergh Blvd, FrontenacThe server and food were very good. The noise level is miserable. I do not have a hearing aid nor any hearing issues. But you cannot hear your companions across the table without speaking very loudly. It's a shame as I would love to go more often
