“As a long term resident in this area, (I graduated from Hallsville High School in 1984), I will say you can stop and get gas and they have a variety of things on sale every week. Although they don't have the variety of larger retail chains they have the basic necessities and are great for quick stops for something you need that night. The staff is friendly and helpful, I have never had one person that was rude in all the years that I have stopped in. They usually post local events in the lobby which is nice. They seem to keep the store clean also. I do love this community!”
“I think it is the best food in the area. Restaurants staff is polite. I've always been greeted seemingly genuinely and with a smile. Their service is quick. The restaurant is bright and clean. Most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious.”

“Went to Dollar General today for a few things and as expected they were busy, I feel I need to address something- The cashier Judy was wonderful, The times I’ve been in there she has waited on me and is so friendly and helpful that that’s the reason I go to that store but on this particular day as I said it was super busy There was a long line of people and only two cashiers Judy being one of them when it was my turn. I went to the other lady and she said she was closing her register and to go to the other one, even though there were many people in front of me and many people behind me which is no big deal but when she left, I heard her tell my cashier that she had to leave for a while had something personal to do and if anybody asked she was in the back working but I saw her leave. I only am addressing this because it was hard on the remaining cashier and not everybody in the line was as nice or as patient as I was, I gave the five stars only because of Judy my cashier.”
“The manager Heather is the absolute best! I literally go out of my way passing 3 other DG's, just because of the customer service I receive. Others are SO rude for no reason, and treat you like your an inconvenience to them.”

“The pharmacist here is absolutely excellent. Walgreens let me down and showed me that they did not care if I was their customer they would not transfer a prescription and get it filled for me and we’re absolutely awful to me. I was in an emergency situation and I called Gerbes and the pharmacist had the most wonderful attitude. She was so compassionate and so wonderful and she was able to call Walgreens and get my prescription transferred over to Gerbes and within 45 minutes I had my medication in my hands after Walgreens refused to refill it for me. I cannot say enough, good things about the pharmacist at Gerbes truly, just a wonderful person!!”

“I had a really great first time visit to this store today!! The manager, Tanesha, was friendly, helpful and took her time to tell me about all of the clearance and sales going on this weekend!! While she was assisting me, I also noticed that she greeted each and every customer with a smile and was so good about saying bye to everyone and telling them to visit again soon. The customer service is fabulous here. I shopped for a couple of hours and got great clearance deals as well as household essentials that I already needed on my shopping list!! I also found good deals on food and snacks!! I absolutely adore the super cute Halloween decor too -even shared photos of the decor with some friends who also want to come buy it now!! The store is also well-organized; especially the seasonal isles!! So thankful for the valuable deals and the friendly atmosphere!! Definitely coming back to this location for future deals and Holiday related decor throughout each season. ????️”
