“I’ve come to the vet here about 5 times since March 2023 with my 4 year old dachshund and my 2 year old mini dachshund. Great experience each time. “I have a reactive dog who was sick. I was able to bring her in the same day to get checked out. Everyone in the clinic was very accommodating and understanding. The doctor and technician we worked with were clearly very knowledgeable about reactive dogs and knew what to do to make her feel comfortable. This was definitely the best experience we’ve had at the vet so far and my dog is 4 years old and I’ve had her since she was a puppy. Thank you for your excellent care!”
“Went to see Dr Chip yesterday as a new client. She got down on the floor with my rescue Bailey and petted and loved on her her throughout our visit, giving her a very thorough exam. When she gave Bailey her vaccine, she did it so Bailey didn't even notice. She spent the time fully listening about Baileys complicated past, showing great empathy and compassion. I highly recommend Dr. Chip, so glad I found her to take care of my precious baby!”

“Dr. Bruce and his staffs thorough service on my English Labrador was ABOVE and beyond any service my previous pets received at VCA hospitals. The ladies at the VCA said his booty glands didn't need expressing. Dr. Bruce found his anal glands very much needed to be expressed. He recognized his allergies & got him on meds & recommended some topical shampoo to help. VCA doctor barely touched him & barely spent 2 seconds looking in his ears. Dr. Bruce found some very painful looking ear infections. Just like with human doctors, don't settle for less for your loved ones. My Scooby Doo is so much happier & can sleep better without always itching & licking. Thank you Dr Bruce & staff ?”
“We were visiting the area and didn’t know anyone. Due to a family emergency my husband and I had to leave early the next day so we had to board our dog. She was behind on some shots and the kennel would not take her. After some scrambling at 5:30 PM the night before we left Saint Charles animal Hospital came to the rescue and took care of our pup. They squeezed us in and solved our problem. They were courteous and kind! I highly recommend!!!”
“I was frustrated by the lack of communication and concern with my previous vet (of 25 years) and had been looking for a new one for nearly a year. A friend referred me to Dr Scott and Chris and they are exactly what I was looking for. I went to them with a very sick cat and they have been tremendous at helping me care for him. They have been very caring, attentive, and responsive when it comes to making sure we are treating my cat and helping his health improve. When there are problems and treatments Dr Scott has been very helpful in explaining my options and outcomes. Very highly recommended.”

“I love this place! I take all 3 of my animals here. Dr.Toepke in particular was amazing when my dog needed surgery on his paw. The Dr made me and my dog feel very comfortable. The front staff is also super nice and quick getting us checked out!”

He takes time to explain test results, procedures, medications, etc. He will answer calls/texts outside of office hours. He truly cares about the well being of animals.
