Pet Care

Huck Equine Clinic
7337 U.S, US-61, JacksonWhat an amazing culture for horses!!! We thought we were going to have to put Jack down and two weeks later she had him walking. The care he was given deserves the 5 star Google review. They sent update videos daily and sometimes twice a day. The staff was amazing. They are a hidden jewel in the horse World….

Deer Ridge Animal Hospital
1807 N High St, JacksonThe after hours staff was very friendly and it was 30 mins after closing and the tech waited outside for us to arrive. They took good care of my boy as he had to stay over night. They called the next morning as they said they would. $250 for an after hour service was a little steep on top of the high bill but happy they took care credit!

Linus F Huck Inc
7337 US-61, JacksonI called Dr. Linus F Huck because he was listed on Google as a veterinarian available 24 hours. He is indeed available 24 hours, but he specializes in equine animals so he wasn't able to see my very sick dog. However he did give me the number for the local vet clinic that was available after hours. Where I was able to take my dog and get him back on the road to recovery.

Tilsit Road Animal Clinic
2009 Co Rd 335, JacksonI been going to Tilsit for years. I love them. They are not scared to tell you how to take care of your animal and willing to give advice and answer any questions you may have. When my husband was recovering from a stroke and I tore my meniscus Two tech climbed into the back seat of my husband SUV (because the dog was too rambunctious for us) and gave my new dog a shot. I could not believe the length they went to to help all of us. Then they walked the massive strong dog into Tilsit and brought him back out to the vehicle. I love them, I will not take my animals anywhere else. Years ago my daughter's dog had been given hear worm treatment. I called them at two in the morning and an old man answered the phone saying I knew you were going to call. I said I think my daughter dog is dieing he said no he is not it's just the treatment for heartworm makes him breathe like that and he was right our fur baby lived to be an old dog. I would say the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they are pricey but then you get what you pay for .

Fuel Restaurant | Mexican
634 W Main St, JacksonTL;DR: Get the Elote (Mexican Street Corn), it's easily the best side.
Came in while visiting family and did not regret it. This place sports chill vibes, good food, and reasonable service.
Started with an appetizer of Pretzels and Queso. Wow that queso was good. It only came with two, but they were sizeable and we tore them up and split it around the table. There was easily double the queso I would have expected.
I had the Birria Quesadilla. It's Birria de Res on a quesadilla, but the consomme is brown (typically a deep red) which seems to indicate less peppers. The flavor was a bit closer to a French Dip crossed with a steak quesadilla. Good, but could have been better.
My wife had the Farmhouse Burger. She finished before me (unusual) and said she loved it.
We both had ourhearts set on the Elote as soon as we saw it on the menu. It varies from place to place and the Mexican Street Corn here is delicious. If you e never had it before, it's a slightly cheesy corn in a cream base topped with cilantro and Tajin.
Aside from all that, they also have Gringo Bandito hot sauce (The Offspring's front-mans sauce which is excellent) and punk rock on the radio.
Service was the low point here. It was just a little slow. Perfectly accurate, and friendly, but we had a long trip home after eating and it was slightly irritating to wait that long.
