“I’m really pleased with our Gou Gou Pets products! They gifted me some allergy shampoo and first-aid ointment for my dog who was struggling with environmental allergies. Her ear tips would dry out, chap, and break open. Using this ointment once a day has helped them stay moisturized and we didn’t have one incident of them opening this spring. My dog who got skin scabs last year due to allergies did not get any this year when I kept up on baths with the allergy shampoo! I am super impressed by how well these worked!”

“I tell e.one about this place. They make having a pet affordable w the cost of shots less then half the price of a regular vet office. They are fast & friendly w a very effective way of processing their appointments w an easy to use website to schedule your appointment easily & they send out reminders every year when your pet is due for shots. They also have cat & dog food available for free for those who r in need as well as supplies like bowls, leashes, collars, cages even s.times.Great resource if u have pets!!”

“Everyone at Pete and Mac’s is fantastic! Stella Rose loves to go to daycare and see her fur friends as well as her human friends. We have taken advantage of Toe Tappin Tuesday’s as well as Wash me Wednesday’s. Stella is also getting personal training along with enrichment training from various staff members. They have a monthly party for birthdays and usually another party in the month where they take pictures for a minimal fee. And those pictures are the best!”
“Black owned store and they run it well. Love the price to bathe my frenchie, very reasonable and they made him smell amazing clean! Purchase a Cuban link and a collar for him as well, and it was almost $100 bucks for just those two items. Overall, Great place, just the collars are a little on the pricey side.”
“Supporting local businesses is easy when they're run by people who genuinely care. We love having such an incredible pet supply shop right here in downtown Kansas City. They carry some of the best products, and it's always nice knowing we're supporting a local, family-owned business.
We stopped in today looking for a new harness for our puppy, and Christine and Jackson went above and beyond. They got down on the floor with us to help fit the harness, offered treats, shared thoughtful recommendations, and made the whole experience extra enjoyable. You can tell they truly love their customers and animals, and want what's best for them.

“I’ve visited twice with my little buddy, Kai, and have been blown away by the customer service cleanliness, and great attitudes of the facility and all the employees.
The second time I went was more than 4-5 weeks later, and they remembered both me and the dog!
I noticed the manager remembered many of the Petteys and people who walked through the doors and all of them were happy to see her. She’s fantastic!
We especially love the hours they hold for walk in nail trims, because that makes it super easy for us to just pop in and keep the dogs claws maintained.”

“I do buy some dog supplies there and my Cavalier gets a bath and blow-dry there.
But, I mainly go there for their vet services. Dr. H is VERY good. I think they were hiring g vets right out after graduating and so was a lot of turnover. But, that seems to have passed. Dr H spent months trying to figure out my dog's eating issues, while other vets just dismissed his eating habits as nothing important - just a little underweight, etc.
All of the vet staff are VERY friendly and personable. All seeming happy to help.
In general, all store employees are very friendly.”

“We were hunting for a royal gramma. They had a nice one and we had to get it. Nicest saltwater section of the 3 northland Petco locations. Tanks were nicely cared for. Fish were active and healthy. 10/10 Staff as well!”
“I'm usually leary of stores like this especially for fish needs but this store keeps surprising me. The first time I went for some supplies I overheard someone talking to an associate about getting a goldfish and putting it in the tiniest tank possible. Now if you know fish you know this person was on a crash course for disaster. The associate got their manager and they both very politely explained why that wasn't a good idea and even explained tank cycling to the customer.
The next time I came in I desperately needed aquarium salt to treat a sick guppy from my tank. They were out so the associate gave me a little from their own supply and didn't charge me. Thank you so much for your kindness, it really meant the world to me in that moment.”
