“The best store to shop and even have a meal. Great selection, beautifully laid out, and very nice staff. I highly recommend Hy-Vee if you have never been. This is also the best place to get your meat and produce.”

“I like this new store. Its laid out like the one i'm used to when in Ft Worth and i find it easy to get around in. I'm pleased they seem to be carrying more organic items including chicken. Employees have always been friendly and helpful when i've had a question. The negative is when you want to pay with cash and the only open lane has a huge line of folks checking out. Would it hurt to temporarily open up another lane?”
“We celebrated my in-laws 75th Wedding Anniversary, and got our flowers, cake & cupcakes from this location. The flowers Kellina designed were gorgeous & received many positive comments. The bouquet was made to be easily held & then placed in a vase. The bouquetier & corsage were standouts with red carnations & small yellow roses. Rhyann’s cake & cupcakes were great. Had several compliments on how beautiful, moist & tasty they were. The happy couple enjoyed both which was the goal. I enjoyed working with both Kellina & Rhyann in planning the flowers, cake & cupcakes. They both helped to make the planning & decision experience wonderful and less stressful. Thank you Kellina & Rhyann!”

“Hy-Vee, I'm torn. I'm giving 5 stars because overall, I'm really pleased with the quality of food, the pharmacy, the deli, and your grocery staff are just awesome!Where I'm torn is the self check out. I find that the employees don't really trust the customers to know what they are doing. Despite a lack of formal training video session, I can still ring up produce and regular purchases with ease. The problem comes if I slow down to get my app up on my phone, or if I'm slow to get my payment card out of my wallet. The self check out supervisor will be 2 inches from me asking all sorts of irrelevant questions.I'm fine with them stating one time: welcome to Hy-Vee, let me know if I can help! But the micromanaging needs to be curbed. Are you worried about me ringing up oranges instead of apples! Or are just fully assuming that I'm stealing from you? I get it! Times are hard, and you are watching the bottom line, but please understand that we as customers are not walking in to your store for the purpose of stealing! We are people just like you! We want to ring up our groceries and get home.I find the Blue Springs location is the worst for this!!! I actually avoid HyVee if at all possible.Another issue I have is the store layout right near the check stands. There's no room! There are tons of displays, stacked food items, and tables with cookies and other bakery items. Again, you might have a plan of all of this, but it makes it hard to get to a checkout lane!”

“God bless the staff, but this company needs to hire more employees instead of building more self checkouts (that don't work half the time)... I come in here almost daily and I have to find an employee to ring me up every day. I spend 5-10 minutes waiting at the front cash register only to have to wonder the building yelling for help before someone comes from the depths of DG to ring me up. I'm not leaving a bad review because the staff is super friendly and respectful, just always stretched so thin.”
“Wish I could give more than 5 stars to Joshua, Dollar General Market in P-Hill. Arrived tonight with less than 3 mins till closing, which did NOT make the other employees happy and they weren't shy in showing it! I made it out of the store in time due to his assistance!! Joshua greeted me with a smile and was extremely kind and helpful!!

“Love this store out of the all the ones in the area, the ones in lone jack and kingsville just suck. The older lady that works here is a hoot and we love her smirky attitude. She says how it is and loves do her job. Haven't seen anyone else there put as much heart into the job as she does....great job hun.”
“Was greeted as I walked in the door. Was asked if I needed assistance on finding anything. Didn't wait very long in line to check out. The cashier was very friendly and attentive. She was also helpful on my questions! The only bad thing I can say is that the clearance aisle wasn't priced correctly or just no price at all.”
