“About as good an automobile place as I’ve ever been to visit. I needed a new battery. I needed air in my tires due to an incorrect setting of too low at a chain oil changing outfit. I’m an elderly widow living only a mile away, so I was glad to discover a convenient place.
Easy. I called, made a time to arrive that same day. I waited a short time in the spotlessly clean waiting area after selecting my battery.
All was fixed in maybe 20 minutes at the most.

“Best car mechanic experience Ive had in Springfield and here’s why:
Before finding Valvoline Express Care on Sunshine, I was on the verge of giving up. My car had been sitting for some time and needed new maintenance to get back on the road, but every mechanic I called either tried to price gouge me or gave ridiculous wait times — we’re talking about hours or even days. Really not good considering my tags needed renewed in less than a week.
The worst part was when one mobile mechanic overcharged me for doing the bare minimum (change a tire, fix dead battery, put gas in tank, clear warning lights) and my car still had issues afterward. Another mechanic wanted to charge me 270.00 to put in lightbulbs.
Frustrated, I decided to try another auto mechanic shop, but this time I called Valvoline Express Care on East Sunshine St and all that changed.
They took my car in immediately, diagnosed the issues fast, and had me back on the road within minutes. No upselling, no BS — just straight-up solid work. Oh, and pricing? Totally fair and no hidden fees. Compared to the pricing of the previous mechanics, it was like night and day.
Beyond the service, the guys there are just good people — Down-to-earth, honest, and genuinely enjoyable to talk to. You can tell they take pride in what they do and actually care about helping people.
Honestly, I would love to invite these guys over to a cookout just to thank them.
That said, believe me when I say this place is a hidden gem in Springfield. if you’re tired of getting jerked around by shady mechanics, you need to give these guys a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

“I went in for a new battery because mine was horribly corroded and unfortunately when they were taking my battery off they discovered that the connector to my battery ( I don't have any idea what it's actually called) was corroded through as well. The auto-center manager Michael showed me the issue and actually drove to the dealership to get the part I needed because O'Reilly wouldn't be able to get it in until Friday. On top of all of that they did not charge me for the part even though the part was clearly damaged when I brought it in. Everyone was nice and helpful and I'll be bringing me car here from now on.”

“2 weeks ago i took my vehicle to the jiffy lube in nixa for a tire rotation, oil change and transmission flush. I just recently noticed the cover they remove to work on my vehicle was missing some screws so i took it in today, told them the issue and the workers were so kind. No one argued with me or denied it may or may not have been their fault. I really appreciate the customer service”
