“My daughter and I attended the Donny Osmond concert last night and she has a disability and is afraid of heights. I thought I had chosen good seats where all she would have to do is come in, go over 3 chairs and sit down but that was not the case. The ushers in our section went above and beyond to help us out and try to accommodate. I can't thank them enough.”

“The Firehouse KC was our DREAM venue. It is so unique and it has several fun spaces to utilize! We had our ceremony outside in their gorgeous courtyard, and our reception inside. However they also have a GORGEOUS upstairs small ballroom for more intimate, indoor weddings. Firehouse KC was super helpful with helping us pick vendors too (we live several states away from KC and had a hard time picking vendors). They have a list of their "friendors," their favorite vendors that they've worked with in the past. That was really helpful for us to narrow down our vendors! Katie was our venue manager and she was a GEM to work with. She made everything so easy, she anticipated our needs and was able to make our wedding stress free because of how hard she worked. Thank you FireHouse KC for our memorable, unique, AMAZING wedding!”
“We had our wedding reception at The Monarch Room in October 2024. We knew after we toured it that it was the perfect venue for us. We loved the open vendor policy so we could truly make the day what we wanted. Being able to bring in your own alcohol that their bartenders prep and serve was awesome as well, so we could completely customize our bar menu. The location also can’t be beat, especially for the price. You really get so much bang for your buck with this venue! Megan and her team were also amazing through the whole planning process and day of the wedding; they were always quick with communication and the day went off without a hitch! Highly recommend checking out The Monarch Room for your event!”
“Nice venue.My sister got married there on May 24th it was a beautiful service and she made a stunning bride.My brothers,my dad and I had an amazing time. I'll never forget that. My only complaint is that the lighting was minimal. Very dark in there.There were tealights in places.You couldn't take great pictures,unless you were there in midday. I have on the royal blue straw hat. I'm the shortest man in the family. ?”

“Our experience at Union was an absolute dream from start to finish. There were so many things about this venue that put it head and shoulders above all the other options we looked at: the DTKC location (especially the proximity to the Kauffman Center); the aesthetic and layout of the space itself; the amazing rooftop views; the BYOB package; and most importantly, the 24-hour rental. We are a Latino American couple and knew we would want to keep celebrating deep into the night; Union was the only venue we looked at that would allow us to do that without worrying about getting people out of the venue/cleaning everything up—it was SO nice not to think about that on the wedding night, knowing we could come back to clean up the next morning.
Even better than all of that was the quality of service we received from the Union staff. Clay went above and beyond in putting together our beverage package, even doing his own mixology experiments to help us perfect one of our signature cocktails. Shannon stayed up with us the entire wedding night, taking care of everything until we left the venue at 3 am. But the realest of them all was Allison, our day-of coordinator. She was so friendly, helpful, and easy to work with; we could tell that she really cared about making our day special. On the wedding day, she made everything run so smoothly that my husband and I did not have to do anything but show up and get married! We could not have asked for better support throughout the entire process of planning this event, up to and including the wedding day itself.
One last thing I really liked about this venue is that they offer so many great additional services (e.g. photobooth, ceremony arch, etc.), but they never tried to upsell us on them. We always had the option of adding stuff on, but we never felt pressured to do so, which allowed us to create the event we wanted at the price point we were comfortable with. Ultimately, we felt like Union’s goal was to use their extensive resources and expertise to help us create the experience we wanted. And that’s exactly what we got! I wholeheartedly recommend this venue on every level. Get married here! You won’t regret it.”

“It's truly a lovely place; the craftsmanship is stunning the heat is a lot but the show was amazing I forgot I was a boiling lobster. The front door staff is amazing. However after paying $100+ dollars to walk into the door I find the drink prices a little out of hand a Rum & coke, and a beer should never be $36 that's just silly. These were not top shelf drinks, I expected an up charge but I didn't expect two drinks to pay for the whole bottle of liquor and a tip.”
“Nice variety of artists and crafters. Food trucks, bounce house and even a chance to get a reading! I hope this venue continues to grow! Great Mo River back drop with a nice walking trail. Leashed pets are welcome. A very nice way to spend time on a Sunday afternoon.”
“I own KC Mobility Scooter Rentals, a mobility device rental business. Last week I had four of my mobility Scooters rented out during the recent writer's conference. The security staff were extremely friendly and helpful both when dropping off and picking up mobility Scooters. I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank a occupation who doesn't always get the recognition they deserve. Thank you for making it super easy to conduct business at the convention center.”
“Wonderful place to host or attend a meeting. Make sure you leave extra time to visit the beautiful gardens across the street from the conference center. Easy to schedule meetings, the staff are great, and there are a variety of meeting spaces so you can find something that works for your group.”

“My aunt and uncles have been taking their kids to Miss Dianna's for 10+ years. I've been taking my daughter for 3 years, and I couldn't be happier. The rates are low, the building is nice and big, 4 dance floors I think. They teach hip hop, jazz, ballet and other types idk... I've seen grown up exercise classes, special needs therapy, and ones for toddlers. The teachers are all very nice. You see all shapes and sizes dancing, I think this school has a more 'open door' policy than others. My nieces and nephews are on the 'larger' side, but they still get to go to competitions. I've heard that some schools discriminate based on body type - which seems pretty messed up. It's also neat to see my daughter take direction from the teachers, she certainly listens to them better than me!”
“The Harlow was the perfect venue for our winter wedding! My husband and I visited countless venues, and The Harlow was the one we both walked out of saying we wanted to get married at. The historic industrial vibe with wood floors, beams, brick walls, and the amazing freight elevator were exactly what we wanted. We of course had plenty of decor for the ceremony and reception, but we didn't need much since the venue was so beautiful! It truly was the perfect backdrop for our dream wedding, and we can't wait to see all the pictures of just how perfect the space looked. We absolutely loved having our wedding there and would highly recommend to anyone searching for a venue in the downtown KC area!”
