“Pam, at the front of the store in the mornings, is my whole reason for taking the time to come on here and comment. She makes it so worth it. She is such a compliment to the store. She has seriously become a household name in our family. She is professional and personable in the perfect balance. She’s the kind of warm, genuine, friendliness that keeps people coming back. That makes a difference, especially in today’s world. She gives it that small town connection between the store and the customers. I’ve shopped at that store ever since they first built, which is probably almost 25 years now. Always been happy with that store, and Pam is the perfect example as to the way they do things right. She has been there several years, and consistently helpful and pleasant the entire time. Pam connects with people, she is proactively helpful, making sure that customers have the help they need. Everybody who shops there knows her name. I overhear random customers calling her by it all the time. It’s refreshing to see somebody so sincere and who takes ownership and pride in how they treat people, and the work that they do. Kudos to Pam and to your store! Showing how it’s done!”

“First time visiting since they left the West Bottoms. I was stoked to see they still had all of my favorites in stock and a couple new ones to try. Highly suggest visiting here if you want to find some popular Kansas City products. Always a plus to support a local business. Can’t wait for the new location’s
grand opening!”

“Fantastic food and store! 4 stars because they do that “cash discount” thing where they pass the service charge of using a card on to the customer. Other than that, perfect place.”

“This is the go-to place for spices—there's no doubt about it! I needed to replace my entire spice collection, and the owners were incredibly helpful. They even provide containers and labels. I spent nearly an hour exploring their extensive spice selection after gathering my list. They have every spice imaginable, and their process is easy, straightforward, and affordable—truly unbeatable! Words cannot thoroughly express the gratitude I have for the ownership and their collection; it's impossible to beat a local spot of this caliber.”

“Fantastic deli/counter lunch service. Mac & Cheese is the best I have ever tasted. Tried the Chinese entree on Wednesday and the Orange Chicken with fried rice was $5 and tasty and a good portion. Have a fairly new loyalty program. A year old but no one ever told me about it.”

“My wife loves this place. To me its a haphazard mess. But its like going to a small market in Ho Chi Minh City. Lot of authentic Asian stuff you cant get at grocery stores and lots of produce that you cant find at a chain store.”

“Happy Foods North not only had Super Quality Meats, they had an awesome selection of fresh fruits and veggies. Amazing rarely seen canned foods and the customer service from employees was amazing! Even the customers were friendly!”

“Sprouts always have the best deals in the back by the bathrooms, on sale items for up to 75% off. You can find a lot of good snacks here for next to nothing, the store overall is pricey, but if you go at the right time. Those manager specials are very nice!”

“They have so many different foods to choose from. Their meats that they have available is incredible and it seems like they carry German made foods there too! Don't forget your quarter to get a shopping cart! I believe their prices beat Walmart, price chopper, Hy-Vee, and sun fresh. Recommend you to explore this place to what they have”

“They sell a variety of items from India. All kinds of rice, spices, pre-made naan breads, deserts, snacks, and drinks. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is very helpful. Its a neighborhood store with an east coast feel. If you're looking for foods from India and you live 20 miles away, its worth the drive.”

“First time there, as I live down in Olathe, and the staff was super friendly and the selection was great. Pretty standard pricing. I would visit again if I'm in the area.”

“Kansas City's 24 hour grocery store with a great selection and 24 hour onsite security guard. The registers shut down ever night from 3am to 3:30am, so that would not be a good time to make a quick purchase.
It does close on holidays like Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.
The parking lot construction recently finished, but there may be some construction on Mill Street after the 2026 World Cup.
The selection includes hard to find items like fresh flowers, dry ice, and sushi.”

“Phenomenal store for the size of it. Stopped in during my lunch break and grabbed a warm meal. It was delicious (no, I don’t work for Hy-Vee). I grabbed a tenderloin sandwich with tots. They cooked the tots fresh and served it all right to my table. Kudos to them!”

“There was a guy seemingly following me around the store being a little sus and the security guard must have picked up on me nervously watching him because as I was bagging my stuff up and heading to my car, the security guard followed me out. I didnt even have to say anything.. he nonchalantly just followed me to my car and stayed until I had safely put my groceries in my car and got in. Great awareness and i was so relieved I really wish I remembered his name.”

“The Meat and Seafood counter at the Hy-Vee in Gladstone 7113 n prospect is the best. Always attentive to there customers. If you are looking for something for what to make for dinner but didn't come with a plan. Stop by the meat counter first. Tell them what you like and the can will advise to options to please your palate. When ever I don't know what to fix I stop and speak with some of the middle aged and older gentleman. The have some pre prepped items like stuffed pork chops or preseasoned chicken or steak fajitas . You just pop them in the oven or skillet to cook.”

“The checkers here can be a bit rude. I know they are trying to keep the lines moving but you feel so rushed to get your groceries it almost makes me anxious. The parking lot is so busy too. Has a good selection of items.”

“It’s quit a drive coming from the north land but that’s ok. At least it’s open 24 hours!! Altho they do shut down registers around 2 or 3am to reset and if your in there they will announce it. But if you go around that time might want to ask before shopping. It’s well stocked. Found most of what I didn’t need lol. Felt very safe. Even went on Sunday morn as the bars were closing and had no problems except for construction. Wasn’t crowded so I was as able to shop at my pace. Wish more stores would reopen 24 hrs. If they can do it why can’t others? It really helps the day sleepers to be able to go shopping without having to wake up and hurry to the store before 10p. Nothing is blocked off so you get to shop the whole store.”

“The calm before the (alleged) snow storm. Busy but not overly, meat dept was well picked over but all seemed normal.

Edit - nice spring day weekend. Busy but pretty well stocked.”

“I absolutely love this store. Providing a large variety of international goods from Africa, South and Central America and the Caribbean.

Crossland International Market carries imported and hard-to-find ingredients as well as premium seasonings, Goya products, frozen fish, meats, exotic and tropical produce and more

The produce is fresh and there is always something new I haven’t tried before to buy.

My favorite are the Goya brand biscuit cookies. There are many varieties and they are not sweet like American cookies and biscuit cookies.

Stop by and expand your palate with the many different food items they have in stock.

The staff is always friendly and helpful.”

“I love the food here. I ordered loaded taco salad Fred prepared my food so nice and delicious, I got to choose my own bag of chips. Let me tell you they are definitely not stingy with the topping and the meat is seasoned very well. I also recommend the smoked wings. The price is pretty affordable and the serving are pretty big.”

“Great selection, store is organized and clean. Had a female check me out at the register last time I was there and she was just awful. Her attitude was more than terrible, she snapped at me and acted like I was trash. I brought own bag so she threw my things into the cart next to her and made me load my bag after grabbing the cart with her hand and saying something like no, this is my cart you can't have this cart. I was under the impression I could move the cart two feet to the bagging counter to remove my 10 items and give her the cart right back. She continued to ring up the next customer and put their items into the same cart like I was invisible. It was awkward and weird. The customers behind me didn't have a cart either and she let them use that cart for their groceries after she rang them up. Unnecessary and rude.”

“Most folks in my neighborhood use this Aldi store for most of their groceries. Usually it's clean and well-stocked (when the place is packed on Friday evenings, well, it's hard for staff to keep up - as one would expect). My Tuesday noontide visit was quick, the cashier efficient. Great store. Use it.”

“5/22/2026: stopped in here to grab a quick something to cook for dinner while I was waiting for the bus to come thru. They're actually keeping this location looking really good, but it is in North Kansas City so that's gotta be the reason as to why and also the reason why their employees were so nice and hella helpful. Definitely wouldn't mind making this my daily grocery store if I was in need of it”

“Mr. Z's is a treasure. This spot and the people who operate it are pillars of the community. 39th street is lucky to have one of the last locally owned convenience stores. They have it all.”

“I’ve had a great experience shopping at Indian Bazaar. The store has an amazing variety of groceries, spices, fresh vegetables, frozen foods, snacks, and household items all in one place. Everything is usually well stocked, and I appreciate how fresh the produce is compared to many other stores.

The staff members are always friendly, respectful, and willing to help if I can’t find something. The store is clean, organized, and reasonably priced, which makes shopping here convenient and enjoyable. I also like that they carry products from different regions and cultures, so there’s always something new to try.

Definitely one of the best Indian grocery stores in the area. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality products and good customer service!”
