“Everyone was so friendly and courteous! I felt so welcomed as soon as I walked in! The store had everything you could possibly want or need.
Special shout out to the lady working the deli: even though you were closed and putting everything up, you took pity on this very hungry lady driver and fixed me plate. Thank you soooo much for doing that for me! The plate of food was more than generous and so good! I'm not ashamed to admit that I ate every single bite! You are truly an awesome person!
Everyone, I highly recommend that you try the chicken fried steak with gravy, potato casserole, and that amazing peach cobbler! You won't regret it!”

“That's a nice little truck stop where they even have liquor. No hot food or shower or anything like that though. What they do have is plenty of space to park a truck”

“When I first arrived in Cooter, MO, I expected to find a town filled with closed-off and potentially racist people. What I found instead really surprised me. I pulled into the general store parking in my trusty old 2011 Subaru Impreza and was immediately complimented by the store owner on my Black Lives Matter and Coexist bumper stickers. I was kindly informed that masks were not allowed inside the building which I was happy to comply with since I am triple vaxxed (sorry covid!). Anyway, the store was filled with a nice assortment of household staples and various knickknacks. Sure, it was a little cramped, but I had to look past that since I noticed that a trans woman was working at the register. I was so glad to see real inclusivity in small-town rural America. I even bought myself a little souvenir, a new license plate holder that said “Cooter, Home Sweet Home”. It will be a nice trinket to add to my collection on my travels. Overall a nice, inclusive market with a wide variety of options. LBGTQ+ friendly with diverse staff.”

“Stopped by this convenience store to refuel and use the restroom. It is just off of Interstate 55 so it is convenient if you are traveling on that route. This place has the typical snacks, drinks, and other items you find at a convenience store and it also has a little bit more being a travel center. There are options for hot foods at the PJs inside it or there is an Arby's and Dunkin' at this location as well. The store was clean, not crowded, and it was easy to get in and out of during my stop. Overall, not a bad stop.”
