Hy-Vee isn't just a grocery store; it's a destination that truly understands how to blend quality, convenience, and exceptional customer service into one seamless and enjoyable trip. The first thing that always strikes me is the impeccable cleanliness of the entire store. Floors shine, shelves are perfectly faced and fully stocked, and the whole environment feels bright, welcoming, and well-organized.
The produce department is an absolute feast for the senses. It’s a vibrant rainbow of freshness, from lush, leafy greens and perfectly ripe, colorful fruits to exotic offerings I can't find anywhere else. Everything is meticulously arranged and clearly fresh, which makes choosing healthy options an easy and appealing decision. This commitment to quality extends throughout the entire store. The meat department offers beautifully cut, premium selections, the seafood is always fresh and well-presented, and the deli counter boasts an incredible variety of high-quality cheeses and meats sliced exactly to your preference.
However, what truly sets Hy-Vee apart and makes it worth every penny is the incredible array of prepared foods and unique departments. The Market Grille offers fantastic sit-down meals, while the Asian and Italian sections provide delicious, quick, and authentic dinner solutions for busy weeknights. I frequently stop by the sushi counter, where a skilled chef prepares rolls that rival any dedicated sushi restaurant. The bakery deserves its own praise, filling the air with a heavenly aroma and offering everything from artisan breads to decadent, beautifully decorated cakes for any occasion.
Finally, the heart of Hy-Vee is its people. Every single employee I have ever encountered, from the cheerful person stocking shelves who offers to help me find an item, to the knowledgeable pharmacists, to the efficient and friendly checkout clerks, operates with a “Helpful Smile in Every Aisle” attitude. It’s this unwavering commitment to going above and beyond that transforms a routine chore into a genuine pleasure. Hy-Vee is a premium experience through and through, and it is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite grocery store.”

“I ordered a prepared holiday meal from them and was accidentally given the wrong size green bean casserole. I spoke with a manager at Hy-Vee who had the right size green bean casserole delivered to me. Absolutely fantastic customer service thank you Hy-Vee.”
“I went into Hy-vee 90th and Center at 7:40am 8/20/25 looking for a certain cupcake flower bouquet, well it was sold out and I was a little upset because this flower arrangement was for a coworker on her last day! The manager (should have got his name) came to help me and said the florist would be in at 8am but that was not gonna work for me because I had to be at work at 8am so I decided to buy a rose bouquet and for my troubles the manager threw in the vase at no cost, he was very nice and was going to arrange the roses in the vase when the florist arrived so the florist (again didn’t get her name) made a beautiful arrangement for me, in the meantime while I waited I picked up some Starbucks, so good! In the end it was 7:55 when I left and I made it to work on time! The best experience and customer service and it was all perfect!”

“Love me some Costco pizza!!! Great amount of sauce, cheese galore. Guys…if you have a Costco card and haven’t given their pizza a try, WTH?!?! Non Costco card peeps…it’s almost worth the price of membership alone. And I’m happy to discover, they have changed out their food court Pepsi options for Coca-Cola! Under $5 and you can have almost a full day’s calories, so be warned! The chicken bake is good, Hot Dog is a staple, not a huge fan of the Caesar… Service is usually good. Sometimes they’ll get busy with the large amount of full pizza orders to go and only one person at the register. But again, the wait is worth it.”
“I miss this store! Prices are high in some things but the sales can be very good. We used to live by here so it was my “go-to” store. I remember the pizza and Chinese food they used to serve. Each time I’ve been in within the last 9 years has only been for specific items so I don’t take the time to wander around.”

“The store is well laid out. Signage also makes it easy to find things in aisles. Finding "real" sales is a little challenging as well as sensory overload since practically everything on every shelf has a sign. I appreciate the quality meat, produce, and other products. We bought and cooked the filet mignon burgers from the meat counter. Don't be a hater... I cooked them to perfection in an air fryer and served them up on Kings Hawaiian rolls. All bought at Hy vee. Only downside is, I feel the pricing is a little high.”

“Farm fresh has a new owner now. This place has changed a big time. Very clean, they took all the old stuff out and replaced it with new shelves, refrigerators. Store is all painted now. They have variety of vegetables, meats and other deserts.
Very polite and respectful staff. They make authentic Afghan food now. If you have heard of Karahi or Qabli palu! This is the place to try it.!!”
“I was there today and for the past 25 years I really had a bad experience I came to eat lunch as I finished eating I went to use the bathroom for a quick moment and to my surprise one of your employees throw my stuff away. That really tick me off I wasn't gone for not even 3 minutes. I hope this doesn't happens again.”

“This is truly my Hyvee store. The staff are amazing and the pharmacy is awesome too. I had issues a year ago with the pharmacy and not able to get meds delivered or ordered and the store manager would go out of his way when he got off to deliver my wife’s meds and I’m so happy they improved immensely. I’m finally happy to see security at the store watching out for homeless vagrants who used to shop lift and steal all the time. My only complaint is the lack of self check out or speedy lines. Or that you get sent to customer service to do split payments like half cash half card. They should update their self check out like bakers and Walmart were you can do split payments in a fast second no problem”
“This Family Fare carries a few brands that I can't find at other grocery stores. Great deli, great produce. Everybody is always professional, helpful and friendly.

“My friends and I had a great experience, even though we hadn't intended to make any purchases; we were exploring. However, when we came across a food choice of goat, we couldn't resist and ended up buying it. We were able to get everything sorted out with a one-hour turnaround.
I'd recommend trying the place out for all things live animals or some fresh produce.”

“I love Aldi's and do most of my grocery shopping here. Whoever does the hiring at this location is to be commended because the staff is wonderful, so friendly and very helpful. I like the selection and the prices? Aldi makes it affordable to eat!”
