“First time in a Trader Joe's. Interesting place. They definitely have unique items. It seems like they have high quality goods. I thought to myself, Wow, this would be a great place to collect things to make gift baskets. Only downside is there flower collection is between the entrance and exit doors. Which are right next to each other. There were alot of people trying to grab some flowers. Blocking the first register. People were waiting for other people to get their flowers and move out of the way. I looked from a distance. I was scared to try and grab some 😄 🤣 I will go again”

Found the meat section to not be nearly as outstanding as other reviews would have you believe, but again the service here was great, even inspite of the crazy shopper hugging the window like kids in a candy store. Odd. Overall we'll be back, but we'll be keeping a sharp eye on those prices.”

“Every week my life partner, her and I go to Walmart for grocery shopping, but we ALWAYS stop here to get produce. The staff is very nice, personable, and welcoming and they remember us each week. I always look forward to going because they have the best garlic in town, consistently amazing and delicious green onions, beautiful green peppers, at least one, sometimes two varieties of okra which are both very good and everything is fresh. We can get Indian and Middle Eastern spices that no one else has, such as amchur (one of my favorites) and methi (fenugreek leaves) and others. And Indian chutney, like corander chutney (so good) and other varieties. And my favorite part is their lamb. The absolute best of the best. It's halal so its bled thoroughly, which gives it a cleaner taste, but even still, its just great lamb. I love lamb and this is the best I've ever had. In the last 2 days we made qorma-e-subzi and methi gosht for dinner at home, both lamb dishes, and we can't stop talking about their lamb. They also stock Turkish labenh, another favorite of mine. And they stock dahi, authentic indian yogurt. We cook Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine from scratch at home and this is the place to go if you do the same. Its also the place to go anytime you need fresh produce or just groceries ❤️”

“I often get donuts for our employees and provide them for my sons school events etc. Bob in the bakery recognized me and stopped to inquire and chat about bakery needs and all. He was so friendly and helpful explaining an easier method and how to go about it. I hadn't thought of calling ahead for donuts. Next time I called (call before 11am for next day due to early open/close bakery hours) walked in and he handed them to me immediately and I was on my way. I never would have called if he hadn't thought to ask me and kindly advise a more convenient method. So helpful, quick, and makes the morning errands quicker. P.S. Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.
Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
