69 Water St, ExeterVegetarian and vegan options can be really difficult to find around here, and even when they’re available, they rarely have much flavor. Momoyo Ramen had been the best I’d found by far—and then had the audacity to close almost immediately after I discovered it—so I’ve been searching for a replacement ever since.
Oba Noodle absolutely delivered! I ordered the tofu ramen and asked if they could fry the tofu, which they did. I had secretly ordered the fried tofu appetizer with sweet chili sauce as backup so I could add it to the ramen myself if necessary, but instead I ended up with infinite fried tofu—which is obviously the ideal outcome. The appetizer was SO good, and the ramen was incredibly flavorful with a huge portion. I couldn’t even finish it!
I ordered medium spice, and fair warning: their spice levels are LEGITIMATE. It was delicious but genuinely spicy, so I’ll probably go down a level next time. My son—otherwise known as the Spice Master—ordered extra hot, and even HE was sniffling. I have never witnessed that before, so please interpret the spice chart accordingly. 😂
Everything traveled really well, with the broth packaged separately from the noodles and toppings. Delicious vegan ramen, fried tofu, generous portions, and delivery right here in Exeter—I will absolutely be ordering again!
