Pet Care

Amesbury Animal Hospital: Marston Robert A DVM
230 Main St, AmesburyI have used this practice for 20 years. Dr. Smith and Dr. Bastien are very knowledgeable and professional. The Techs are wonderful as well. They all care about the animals they treat and make me feel like my pet is in good hands. I haven't had much interaction with the other vets in the practice.

Amesbury Animal Hospital
277 Elm St, AmesburyEvery time our puppy has had an appt everyone has been very nice. Our 11mo old puppy swallowed a sock yesterday and they had us bring him right in and took him in immediately and were so nice and kept us informed of what they were going to do. We were luckily in and out in less than half an hour and the fee was very reasonable.

Merrimac Valley Animal Hospital
26 Haverhill Rd, AmesburyThey are just good all around. The whole staff is amazing with my dog. She's a very particular dog, and they all have a good way with her, which is very rare.. they listen to my dog and don't push her boundaries, And are very compassionate they understand the bond I have with my dog And specially cater to it and they are straight up with me, they don't beat around the Bush. They tell me the hard truths that I need to know to fix the problems for my dog and no matter how paranoid I am, they don't make me waste money they are always conscious of my budget even when i'm panicking and not.. i would recommend them over and over again

Mill 77 Brewing
77 Elm St, AmesburyI had the pleasure of stopping by Mill 77 Brewing in Amesbury while on vacation. I was solo, sometimes that can be sketchy when walking into a bar/brewery. The brewery is in an old brick 2 storey building. The inside was an open area with tables and chairs, along with a large bar and ample taps to select your beer choice or choices. Karen, behind the bar, describes the beers on tap and I made my selection. The beer was cold and delicious. I struck up,a conversation with Karen and the next thing I know is I am chatting everyone seated at the bar. I met the owner and the next thing I know I'm asked to join in their card game. Long story short, if you are in Amesbury, MA, stop by Mill77 you will thoroughly enjoy the place, the people and the beer. Thanks for making my evening memorable and enjoyable.

Hodgie's Ice Cream
71 Haverhill Rd, AmesburyThe ice cream is delicious, I want to start with that. It doesn't seem like they use a lot of fillers or artificial colors, and their specialty flavors like coffee Heath bar use a lot of Heath bar chunks, so the quality is good and the portions are generous. Generally it's young people working the counters and they are also very nice and friendly. The reason I don't give the chain five stars--and this goes for their locations not only in Amesbury but also Salisbury--is for two reasons, which may not be a big deal for other people but for me impacts what would otherwise be total enjoyment, each and every time: 1) The spoons they give for hard serve are flimsy. If the ice cream is really cold and packed, the spoon is only barely up to the job, and 2) the system of ordering and waiting needs an overhaul--people are always asking, Are you waiting to order? Are you in line? It's never clear who's next or where you're supposed to stand to wait for your order. Maybe this has always been this way and the locals are just used to it, but to me it's sloppy and creates unnecessary confusion.

BareWolf Brewing
12 Oakland St, AmesburyThe owner Stevie is great guy. Nice family run spot with cool events that has grown nicely over the years. Also the regular bartenders Rachel and Knate with a K and John add a lot to the atmosphere. Hope it doesn't change in the future. Cheers
