“Don't let the size fool you, this little market has everything and then some! Lots of fresh Asian vegetables, a good variety of meat and fresh seafood, large selection of frozen foods, spices & condiments , many different types of rice, noodles, sweets, desserts, cooking utensils, bamboo steamers etc.
By far Lo’s Seafood & Oriental Market is the BEST in NH.
Thank you for serving the people of NH”
“Great store with good prices and selection. My only complaint about every Trader Joe's is that they move products around the store all the time and I can't find what I m looking for. It's pretty infuriating.”
“I’ve been shopping at Golden Harvest for years and they have stayed tried and true to their excellent produce! They also have nice wines and refrigerated foods as well as pastas and more…the open salad bar is amazing too!”
“I have been coming here for a bit of time now and it is by far one of my favorite places to buy products from:) the owners and employees are all so kind and helpful, and you can tell they care so much about their customers and the value they add to the community. During the weekdays, there is homemade, organic soups available up front and they are some of the best and most nourishing soups I’ve ever had! I look forward to trying all of the new creations she makes every week:) if you’re in need of some lunch or dinner I highly recommend stopping in to grab some soup…you won’t regret it! Can’t say enough good things about this place and so so thankful to have them be part of our community in such an amazing way☺️”
“This “older” MB is a wonderful store. Easy to get in and out of in a hurry. The store employees are wonderful and helpful. This is a well run store.
It is still a wonderful business.”
“Great prices, great selection, and friendly service more than make up for the somewhat outdated interior. A local legend with a motion picture movie, book, and song celebrating the historic labor action in 2014 by thousands of employees, customers, and supporting businesses.
Update 9/22: from what I can tell, MB has not raised its prices as much as supermarkets in western Massachusetts. I shop there as well, and current inflation related price increases seem much more significant compared to Market Basket. They still live up to their motto "more for your dollar".”

“Whether you are food shopping or hungry for a bite, this is about as good as supermarkets get. The pre-made food is generally fresh and good. The selection is about what you'd expect, but always well stocked.
Obviously, this is a great location to stock up on meat. They have a lot of variety and seem to take it very seriously.
I, however, more often than not get the sushi, which is usually very good. Great beer selection too.”
“Absolutely astonishing food and service here. Everybody was so kind to me and my son, who has many food allergies, and they were very patient with us. The person who handed me my order was very kind and wished us well. 10/10 food and service and I highly recommend.”
“Our quadruple annual stop from CT to ME. I never accumulate gas points in CT, even though I am a daily shopper, but I love your gas prices.
PS- when I have gone into your store... I am amazed by how friendly your employees are.”
“No frills shopping. Good deals. Produce is usually good and fresh. Nice meat and fish options. If you're looking for a variety of brands and flavors of processed food/HBA, it is limited. The house brands are of great quality.”
“This store is fantastic! The first time we were there was last Monday.. I walked in and it smelled like my wife's kitchen. We had the home made Linguini Tuesday night. Excellent! We just had the Marinara sauce over Spaghetti Squash. Delicious. We purchased 4 different pastas. We told the 2 nice women that worked there that it was our first time there. One said for that, take a container of Marinara for free. The different home cooked meals look great our go to this summer when we come up that way for beach time. Breads and everything else I saw I would get on our next trips to Kittery on way to see family and day trips. A must go to for anyone that's a Foodie. Very easy to find on main road. Thank you ladies. We will see you again.”
“We used to buy loose cigarettes back in 92,93, 94,95 for 10 cents for a newport! Those were the good old days so we thought now we just find out that everything was just hidden and now it's being exposed! so really was it the good old days?! The Cabot Street market still makes me feel like it was!”
“Good prices and variety of items. NO loud objectional music playing.. actually very quiet. Clean and neat. Good clean rest rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Not crowded and customers are orderly. Store is at a comfortable room temperature..NOT refrigerating you with A/C that works make you forget what you get for and want to run out to get warm outside. Made for a very nice shopping experience.”
“This is my favorite location(Although I've yet to go to the Westbrook,Me.one)
It has so much available and it's usually pretty quick getting in and out of there.”
“I love this place! Conveniently right in downtown! Easy parking! Same prices as Hannafords! Super nice people! And they care about people because they even invested in an AED!”
“I have been shopping at my local Hampton NH Hannaford for over 5 years. Shopping there was my one stop shop. Recently, your management decided to remove 1/3 of an isle- of your room temperature beer. Which also happened to be a good selection! I asked an employee today where did all the beer go? And they told me that they did away with it as it was an inconvenience to “everybody”. Well as a consumer I have shopped at my local Hannaford knowing I was paying a premium, but you were “convenient” for me. But now you are not and I will have to make multiple stops if I shop with you. I can buy my beer at Prost. Or I can shop at Market Basket, and buy beer and groceries there- for cheaper. I am not mad at your revamping of the store, but while sitting in the beer isle scratching my head- at least 5 additional customers looked at me and were also displeased with the change. I hope this feedback can make a difference, in the mean time I’ll be at Market Basket.”
“Very niche experience but I dropped my wallet and the guy working brought it out to me on the street, just the nicest thing in the world, potentially saved me a huge headache. He was also just very nice when we were in the store as well, and the store has a great selection of everything you might need at a quick stop. This place is a credit to Portsmouth”
“Usually found what I needed. I mostly rate supermarkets based on the produce section, and this site did pretty well. I’m used to a wider diversity of fresh fruits and veggies, but it gets the job done. I liked all the labels helping to identify local items and sales. I enjoyed the walnut baklava here too. The original one I used to buy disappeared, but enjoyed the pre-packaged 3-pack options. Staff were friendly and helpful.”

“I am quite happy with the bakery here and use them to cater many events, the staff in the bakery are always friendly and help me figure out what I need no matter the size of what I am hosting. I find the veggies to be miss quite often in the produce section, but I do like the assortment of ethnic food choices and am always able to find something new to try at home. They do usually have a great ice cream selection.”
“our favorite stop in town. Always reliable, gas, moes subs. carries my favorite Guayaki Yerba mate teas. Great selection of beer as-well. Always friendly, 5 stars!”
“Hannafords pharmacy is so helpful and quick! They helped with medication transfer and all in 5 minutes. Before that I've called Walgreens for 3 days for the same medicine and they kept deferring it and saying it's ordered when it was not.”
“Fun, helpful people. I rarely shop anywhere else for my household needs. It would be nice if they carried more Sutton farms chocolate almonds cuz I love 'em !”
“This store is always clean, organized, and well stocked. My one downside is that the produce has been lacking lately. Several times I have purchased strawberries, grapes, or lettuce that looks fine on the surface but as soon as I open them (typically same day) there is mold or rot in the middle. The issue is likely with shipping or storage.”
“It’s a nice placeIt’s nice and bigger convenient store in Durham town ?carry so many different kind snacks and drinks A lot of kind protein bars now has big selection of wine ice creamAnd all kind disposable Smoke”
“So many varieties to choose from. Healthy options. So happy to have found this store. The manager is exceptionally helpful in answering my questions about how to cook items, or giving an indication of flavors.Be it fresh, frozen or on the shelf for dry goods, a person will find whatever they are seeking. If they do not carry a specific item, the owner will suggest where you might find it.WOW, how impressive is that?_”
“If an associate is rude, please do reach out to Store Management. They have been wonderful to me on several occassions throughout the years for the type of verifiable complaints. Other than that, top-notch!!!”
“They close at 4 PM. They have a big parking lot that is well lit for overnight parking. Backing into the dock Might be a little awkward for a new person but it’s easily doable. Unless you have to go to the warehouse down the street. That was fun easy for a seasoned driver but a new person may have trouble. Very nice people fast unloading.”

“I saw the story on Chronicle a few weeks ago and got very excited. My parents were British, coming to this Country from London in 1948. My Irish paternal Grandmother used to send air mail parcels to us filled with all types of goodies. She died when I was 14, I am now 67. When I saw so many biscuits and candy that I hadn't tasted in years, I went right to the on-line store and made a big order. Sherbet Fountains! Bourbon Creams! These were things I had searched for in vain for years! I ration them just like my Mummy used to ration in WWII, so I don't run out too quickly. Thank you, British Aisles and Sean McDonough of WMUR for spotlighting this gem!”
