“Beforehand even the cats started coughing. Now this one is chirping and so happy because the issue was when you stay for extended periods of time you shouldn’t have to feel like you’re getting sick. He was chirping and so happy and if my ESA cats are happy I’m happy. It goes both ways with support animals too.Rooms: Comfortable, the water quality in the shower is beyond a 10/10. Literally the best water pressure. Everything works. The staff actually listen and understand. It can be a really great place when you’ve been in a really bad one before.Safety: Feels safer than being at home when even your homes can start to feel unsafe. I even got my reinads fixed here. My fingers haven’t lost blood since I’ve stayed here and exposed them to cold temperatures.Walkability: Very safe and walkable. Get those steps in!Food & drinks: So many options in the area. And so much shopping and community.Noteworthy details: The cats are satisfied and so am I. The cemetery it faces street view is the really good one too. I even walk around there because the dead are never disturbed.”

“If you are in the Fairfield NJ area, you will find this hotel a great option. The hotel lobby was beautiful, the rooms were modern and amenities were very good. The free breakfast each morning provided a lot of options and even had a omelet and egg station for their guest. It was my first time at a Best Western Executive Inn and it was a great experience.”

“Great budget Hotel with a perfect location. The room is pretty small and for 3 persons way to small. Also our room was under ground level so our view was pretty much blocked. The service was very good and all the personnel were super nice, helpful and friendly. You can easily take the PATH-train to New York, one way is 2.75$ so it's pretty cheap to get to New York. The station is an 8-10 minute walk from the Hotel.Rooms: The Room was pretty small and our room was underground so we could not see much. Also the floor was a carpet so the air wasn't that great in the room.Walkability: Easy walkway to the PATH-Train and the near Mall.”

“And it's Ivan T. for the 4th star!!! Have stayed at this hotel a few times, totaling about two months or so. Never left a review because in my mind, nothing stood out to make this hotel exciptionally pleasant or poor. Excellent rooms and cleanliness, average reception staff, no breakfast. Free coffee from an automated machine, but it tastes wierd. Location is convenient to NYC, Newark and other locations with relatively easy route access, but oddly situated in a quasi-industrial park with no convenience stores or gas stations nearby. Usually has rooms available. Pet-friendly ($79).Last night, after driving from Pittsburgh with my family to drop two of the kids at Newark airport for an overseas flight, their plane took off and then returned to Newark due to in-flight technical issues. I was headed back to Pittsburgh and had to redirect back to EWR. At 2AM, it was nearly impossible to find a hotel to accommodate a large family. Ivan to the rescue!!! I called the Candlewood Suites Seacaucus, and he not only understood our situation but offered to wait before changing books over to the next day, until I could check IHG for a reward night booking. When we arrived, he was on the ball and quick to be courteous. Made my family feel very special, which made me feel great!!! Thank you Ivan and Candlewood Suites Seacaucus, most sincerely!!!”

“I so much enjoyed my stay here! The staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional. The lobby decor was exceptionally welcoming, with a generous breakfast area and a living-room style seating area with a large-screen TV. The lobby offered a complimentary reception every evening. The location is quiet and the hotel is pet-friendly. The room was lovely and offered a full-sized fridge and dishwasher plus a small stove and sink. The beds were very comfy; sleeping well is a great part of any getaway. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, and had gluten-free offerings for those who need them. My son lives in Newark, and I look forward to returning to this location often.”

“Hotel price is great compared to the hotels in the city. There is easy access to the city via a ferry, which you can catch right next to the hotel. The Hotel and our room was clean.Customer Service was great, very friendly. We were able to check in early and our room had an amazing view of the city.My only complaint is that we tried to order pizza from the hotel restaurant and they kept sending us to voicemail. The other thing is that the rooms are a bit dated and need to be upgraded.I would stay here again.”

“During an unfortunate time in our lives my boys and I were living in hotels for about 7 months. We stayed here because the rooms were affordable compared to hotels around it. Their deposit is only $25 and usually refunded back to my card a few minutes after check out, where nearby hotels were asking for $250 and $300.The rooms are clean and updated with a refrigerator/microwave combo, 40 inch TV, heat/air conditioner. There's free parking and wifi. Walking distance from restaurants. They have free continental breakfast and free coffee/ tea all day. There's a small convenience store with an ATM near the front desk. They have a 24 hour gym. The room that wound up being our home for 5 months was perfect. It had a patio that led to a fenced in yard where pets or children can run and play. The staff were nothing short of phenomenal from the manager Kaigu (I know I'm speling it wrong), the front desk staff, the Cafe staff, to the cleaning crew. They were all pleasant and professional and treated my boys and I like family. The grounds are beautiful, it's the perfect place for a wedding, party, or any special event where you want the luxury without the price tag.Once they realized my situation, they made us feel welcomed. This place and their staff made a difficult time that much easier for my boys and I. I'll never forget the kindness they showed us. Now that we've finally found a home, we still consider the Wilshire Grand or home away from home. I'm so grateful to the staff. I'll never forget that in my time of need, you all shown me and my children that there are still good people in this world. Thank you.Walkability: Nearby burger King, pizza restaurants, ice cream shop.”

“This is the place to stay at if you are coming into town for an event. Walkable from Penn Station and walkable to the Prudential Ctr. The interior is very modern and renovated it seems like. This is also the first hotel in a long time that had the best pillows to sleep on, not flimsy and had some firmness to them. The reason for no 5 stars is due to friendliness of front desk staff - an older gentlemen was not welcoming at all in terms of friendliness and seemed irritated. The other reason for the point is housekeeping ignored do not disturb signs early in the morning and disrupted my rest.”

“My wife and I had our wedding here a week ago and it was PHENOMENAL. The venue space is great and reasonably priced. The food was delicious and tasty. But, most of all, the hotel staff was absolutely incredible. Shout-out to Kelly, the event manager, who helped us plan our wedding. She is attentive, accommodating, helpful, communicative, and just delightful to work with. And this culture of hospitality extends to the entirety of the staff. Everyone we had to work with was great. If you are planning a major event (even a wedding) consider the Holiday Inn at Hasbrouck Heights. What an awesome experience we had with them throughout the process. I cannot recommend them enough.”

“Great experience and special thank you to the shuttle driver- I believe his name is Marco. I spoke with Rush the supervisor commended him on the great service we received with his driver. I traveled with my little girls and as most parents would know, it’s not the easiest. Friendly and attentive. Great jobRooms: Modern and clean.”

“Stayed here for 7 nights, and really liked this hotel. We had a basic double queen room with a desk, small tv, bathroom, and a little hallway with sink, mini fridge, and microwave. For the long stay, it was nice having the two sinks, fridge, and microwave. I liked the little in-hotel market open 24/7 for late night munchies. Everyone I encountered at the hotel was nice. One of the late night munchies for ramen, we needed hot water that had run out from the food buffet area and the front desk person got us hot water. For the busy holiday week, we were worried there wouldn’t be enough food at breakfast, but it was replenished throughout the breakfast time frame, even 20/30 minutes before closing. The hot breakfast foods were rotated each morning which helped with the variety. There is a Mexican restaurant next door, and a lot of other restaurants are in close driving distance proximity (Italian, sushi, drinks, etc). I also liked that there was a Costco gas about 10 min away. There was enough parking even with the busy holiday. The room we had, had a nice distant view of the city, which was pretty at night. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.”

“I loved the rooms, spacious for my granbaby, plenty of towels, the water pressure wasn't too great in room 505, My only issue is I stayed 2 days in 2 different rooms, and each time I found hair on my bed. Lines were clean, but I believe the housekeepers need to do a better job tying up there hair. Other than that, I will definitely return. Oh, n the front desk young man on Saturday morning was exceptionally helpful.”

“The bed was very comfortable, that’s definitely a plus. You can’t beat the proximity to Manhattan- just two stops and 19 minutes away. The bathroom was quite small and difficult to navigate in. The sink was very high. It was awkward. The hot water didn’t stay hot for very longI have lusted over a Doubletree Hotel for the warm chocolate chip cookie. While I did receive a cookie, it wasn’t warm. I think it had been made hours before and it felt like staff was going through the motions. The cookie was over rated.Nearby activities: Choose this hotel for the proximity to NYC. It felt very safe during the day to use the skybridge to connect to Newark Penn Station. There was also a lot more security and police during the day.Safety: I felt safe once inside the hotel. Not so safe out of the hotel.Walkability: It did not feel safe to walk around the hotel. Even in daylightNoteworthy details: The train station is across the street but as a solo female traveler I was leery returning at night. What a difference to enjoy the walkway above that connects the hotel with the train station during the day. It felt dicey at night. Lots of aggressive panhandlers.”

“Loved this place! Super friendly staff, excellent breakfast and great location. It took us 15 minutes on the #320 bus to be in Times Square and less to be at Penn Station, the subway gateway to NYC. Free parking garage next to the hotel. Any number of restaurants within easy walking distance and both a Walmart and Sam’s Club in 10 minute easy walk. Good access to major highways and comfortable drive to the airport. Our go to accommodation next time we visit New YorkRooms: Dated interior colours but clean and fresh. Rooms made up by request which suited usSafety: Very nice, quiet area”

“Rooms: Some rooms have shared doors, and it's pretty annoying the noise or if you have an unconsidered smoker neighbor, the smoke of the cigarette goes to your room”

“Really nice for the price we paid. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, diverse and fairly good quality breakfast, a small pool for the kids to let out some energy, easy check in, nice hair products and decoration. I think next time I will ask if they have allergy free rooms, since my daughter has eczema and is allergic to many cleaning products.Food & drinks: Across from the bonefish grill”

“What made this place exceptional wasn't just the hotel and its location which are perfect by the way. It was Edgar, he was so kind, patient and ever so helpful. He gave us perfect directions to the bus stop even after I kept calling, not once did he seem impatient with me. We will definitely stay here again without a shadow of doubt.Rooms: The rooms were nice and clean. It was also spacious.Walkability: Its less than 5 minutes' walk to the bus stop that takes you right into Times Square in New York.”

“I am a titanium elite member and stay in this hotel at least once a month when I fly into teterboro. My stay recently had my first ever rat in my room and the way it was handled was surprising. It’s usually great but a month ago I woke up to a rat in my room. I told the front desk and they didn’t seem phased and moved me to another room. After writing my initial review, the manager contacted me directly and handled everything very well. The breakfast here is probably the best out of any element I have stayed in”

“This is our second time staying here for an event. The rooms are well accommodated. The staff is friendly and kind. We will be back again. The shuttle service is well run and the young lady who ran the program during the event has proven to be hard working working, kind and thoughtful. Thank you for everything and helping make our trip relaxing and enjoyable .”

“Man this place was super nice, everybody was real friendly. My room was stellar, good nights rest, the view was incredible, I was envisioning myself driving a porsche through the city just feeling myself, knowing that I'm the man. I worked out in my room, I was listening to Ariana Grande while doing my hunned (100) push-ups, I did planks, and I did wall sits. I felt bad because I was going to order some pizza from pizza 2000, one restaurant and I fell asleep, so I didn't use my United Airlines meal ticket money for them, so if anyone stays here and eats at that place much love.❤️ ?? ✝️”

“After several stays here in 2023, I can safely say this has become my go-to hotel when visiting the NYC area. Coming from the south (Maryland/DC area), the location is perfect to park the car hassle-free and cost-free without driving through the heart of NYC but still being close enough to catch fast, frequent buses to the city (NJ Transit 163/164) right in front of the hotel. It's also super close to American Dream, Harmon Meadow, Jersey City, and other areas with tons to see, eat, and do.I have enjoyed the layout of every room I've stayed in at this hotel and especially love the availability of 1- and 2-bedroom suites at a comparable price point to other hotels that only offer studios/standard rooms. The breakfast is usually pretty well stocked right up until the end of service, and the choices are pretty standard but nothing extraordinary. I do wish they had oatmeal actually pre-made instead of just putting the packets out (it never quite cooks as well just by adding hot water to the packets). Nonetheless, it's a pretty decent free breakfast and there's usually no problem getting a table even when it's busy, so those are definite plus points.Lastly, I have to give a huge shout out to Alexis at the front desk - she was there both of the last couple times I've checked in here, and she went out of her way to meet our extraordinary demands at every step of the way. She's another huge reason this has become my go-to hotel near NYC.”
