“Best urgent care experience I’ve had. The staff was all warm, patient, and carefully explained everything, even if my question was a little basic. There were also kids on the waiting room waiting for their mom in the back and the front desk staff turned on a Netflix movie for them. I got the sense that these people don’t hate their jobs which means they actually have capacity to care for the strangers that walk in the door. Would definitely recommend this location.”

I live in Jersey city and was supposed to have test done in Manhattan but luckily they had an office in Union City and the test was carried out there. Easy location and no stress. “Sylvester and his company save my vacation in the midst of covid! With all the confusion of 2021 we did not have the correct test for our cruise. By chance I found VeniStat and Sly sprang into action. He opened his office for a small group
of us to take our test and we got back to the ship with 30 minutes to spare. It sounds extreme but I had a lot going on in my life at the time and if this trip had failed I genuinely think I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am now. “I skipped a nearby Labcorp, due to some disparaging reviews, to get blood work at this BioReference location and am glad I took the 30 minute walk.
I booked a reservation online the night before during the middle of the week. The whole day's schedule was open. This Bioference location is on Newark Avenue near the courthouse. The elevator was slow to arrive - there is only one in the main entrance for general huests.
The office was small and very clean, with a TV mounted on the wall playing cartoons and medical ads. The office was empty, so zero wait time.
The receptionist was also the lab tech - it seems to be a one-man operation. She wasn't very welcoming, but promptly checked us. It took about 20 minutes to complete the entire process.
They said the turnaround time for results was about 3 days. Also, they have an online portal where you can check results, which is great. The free parking lot for patients is icing on the cake.
Overall, it was a good experience. I'd definitely go here in the future for prompt service and to avoid the crowds elsewhere.”
