“Wawa — the unofficial headquarters of “I’ll be home in five minutes, I’m just stopping quickly.”
Every time I pull into this Wawa, I tell myself I’m only grabbing one thing. One. But somehow I walk out with a drink, a snack, a backup snack, and a snack for the drive home. It’s like the place does kiruv on your stomach.
This location is classic Route 70 energy — cars everywhere, people trying to figure out where to park, and me circling the lot like I’m looking for a spot in shul on Shabbos morning. But Baruch Hashem, once you get inside, it’s smooth sailing.
The drinks section? Gehennom for anyone trying to diet, but Gan Eden for everyone else. I walk in exhausted and walk out feeling like a refreshed new creation, holding a giant Wawa iced coffee like it’s a life achievement award.
The staff here is surprisingly quick, friendly, and somehow unfazed by the steady stream of customers rolling in at all hours like it’s Chol Hamoed.
And the best part? Open 24 hours — meaning whether it’s Motzai Shabbos, late-night road trip, or “oops I forgot to buy something,” Wawa is there for you like a reliable friend who never sleeps.
If you’re anywhere near Route 70 and need a quick pick-me-up, a drink, a snack, a minute to breathe, or just an excuse to get out of the house… this Wawa gets the job done.”

“This 7-Eleven on River Ave is basically Lakewood’s little “emergency headquarters.” You know the type: you’re out late, your gas light is giving you mussar, the kids suddenly “need” a snack like it’s pikuach nefesh, or you realize you’re missing one random item at the worst possible time — and boom, this place is open and ready.
Open 24 hours is the main shtick here, and honestly it saves the day more than people realize. Midnight Slurpee? Check. Early-morning coffee when you’re functioning on 3% battery? Check. Quick pit stop for drinks, chips, ice, or whatever basic essentials you forgot because life is moving at Lakewood speed? Double check.
Inside, it’s a classic 7-Eleven setup: aisles packed with snacks, cold drinks, and all the grab-and-go stuff that somehow becomes a whole shopping cart if you’re not careful. You walk in for “one thing” and walk out like, “Okay, so apparently we’re stocking up for a blizzard.” ? The checkout is usually quick, and it’s the kind of place where you’re in and out without making a whole production.
Another big plus: it’s a super convenient spot when you’re doing errands because it’s not just snacks — you’ve got the whole “get it done” vibe. And if you’re using any of the services here (money order/Western Union type of thing), it’s very clutch to have everything in one place.
Bottom line: not fancy, not trying to be fancy — just reliable, convenient, and always there when you need it most. A real heimish lifesaver for late-night runs and last-minute “how did we run out of that?” moments.”
“Staff are really friendly and remember their regular customers. Gas station part can be a little overwhelming at times, but realistically it is because it is the only gas station on each side for miles. I like eating here too usually they make me quality sandwiches”
“The service is great staple in the community for over 30 yrs Susie and her husband are delightful people and dont sleep on they turkey and cheese hoagies Yummy and that late night Bop from Susie behind the counter when her and hubby beefin...priceless”
“I had a prescription sent in that needed to be filled quickly. The whole team was sensitive to that and worked efficiently to get it done. Very professional group.”
“500$ winner on 2$ scrach off. Lucky really lucky. Very well said this spot is realky have some luck.
Moreover, good price on Smoke products. Glad to have this store in this plaza now. Easy to park and very convenient. NO NEED TO TAKE U TURN ANYMORE.”
“Mack runs a great operation with family and staff! Super clean with great proces. If anything is missing he will find it Being going there 7 years now! Try it out! Ralph Kuehmstedt!”

“After not succeeding at a different cvs in the same town,I went here. They had a working coupon machine and the body wash shelves were filled with many selections. The shelf had no depends products.”

“Let’s be honest — nobody goes to CVS because it’s “a fun trip.” You go because you need something right now: a band-aid, Tylenol, a birthday card you forgot about, or you’re on a late-night mission for toothpaste because somehow it’s always finished exactly when you’re already running late.
This CVS on River Ave is mamash a lifesaver. It’s one of those places where you walk in for “one thing,” and five minutes later you’re holding two shampoos, a bag of chips, a seasonal candle, and a random sale item you didn’t know existed — and you’re still missing the one thing you came for. Classic CVS avodah.
The store is generally well stocked and organized, so you’re not doing a full Bava Metzia search-and-rescue operation just to find cough drops. The aisles are clear, the place is clean, and you can usually find what you need without calling in a committee.
And the staff? Pretty decent and helpful — especially when you’re standing there by self-checkout looking confused like “Nu… why is it yelling at me to place the item in the bagging area when it’s already in the bagging area?” They’ll come over, press three buttons like it’s nothing, and save you from losing your mind before your morning coffee.
Bottom line: It’s CVS — it’s not a luxury resort — but for a quick stop for health stuff, toiletries, household basics, snacks, and last-minute ‘I forgot’ items, this location gets the job done. You walk in stressed, you walk out prepared, and that’s a win.”
“It's basically a wawa/quick check with a deli in the back. Good chicken. Good spanish food. You can tell it's good because there is always construction workers eating there for lunch. Go for lottery, your morning coffee, a decent lunch at a decent price. Expect a 10 dollar lunch, but a good 10 dollar lunch.”
