“Buy 2 sushi get 3rd free love it.

Nicely expanded with some nice ready to eat meat meals. The place has really expanded and service is always great. Nice selection of ready to eat kosher meat products.
They now a self check out option.
Good time to shop is early as store is less crowded (regarding Friday mornings)
Busy as ever going into 2026.
Very busy now for Jewish holiday season October 2025

“This is a truly great supermarket. Stopped in recently and was impressed by the cleanliness, lighting, and efficiency. The aisles are wonderfully stocked and organized, and the staff are super helpful and nice. They have a great looking deli counter, as well as a bakery, sandwich, sushi, and coffee stations. The prices are reasonable in the face of an age of exorbitant grocery extortion. Can't forget about the shopping carts which are light and roll smoothly, and the self checkouts which are super easy to use.
Great store, and unlike many other busy supermarkets, wouldn't mind returning one day.
Five stars would not be an exaggeration. Much continued success to the good folks over at The West.”
“Nice store, but pricing by the deli section is for the most part non-existent.
Additionally, although the prices on takeout are pretty good, the take-out items have zero ingredients listed on the packaging. Very frustrating. Very skimpy on information. Another basic example: No telling of what bracha the wraps are.”
“If you ever wanted to feel like you walked into your Sephardi uncle’s basement freezer — but upgraded, organized, and with prices that don’t make you need to bentch Gomel — welcome to Jerusalem Glatt Meat.
This place is the real deal. No fancy bells, no artisanal hipster nonsense. Just solid, honest, heimish meat, amazing Sephardi dishes, and enough lachmashin in the freezer to keep a yeshiva dorm fed through a blizzard.
The prices? Gevaldigeh. I’m not saying it’s cheap, but let’s just say I left without needing to make a cheshbon hanefesh afterward. Very refreshing for Lakewood.
They don’t drown you in produce — which is perfect, because let’s be honest: if I'm coming here, it’s not for a cucumber. I came for meat, for lahmabajeen, for kubbeh, for that Sephardi magic that somehow tastes like it was made by someone’s grandmother who has never once used a measuring cup.
The staff is down-to-earth, not pushy, and not trying to sell you $89.99/lb “heritage free-range organic unicorn roast.” They know their customers: just give us good meat, good prices, and let us get home before the kids realize we snuck out.
Highly recommend if you want quality without drama, flavor without fanfare, and freezer items that will make you feel like a culinary hero even when all you did was heat it up.
Five stars — would absolutely return, probably sooner than my diet would prefer.”
“Spanish grocery store. A little pricy, but good if you need to grab a few things locally without going to a larger supermarket. Good selection of items, especially if your looking for Spanish brands. Staff is friendly, and speak enough English to get by if you do not speak Spanish.”
“Great place for shopping. Great layout and very easy to find what you are looking for. Amazing takeout and sushi right when you walk in. Always a great selection of food and bakery items. Many self check out lanes - some accept cash too.”
“If you're looking for a pleasant wide-isle experience, with many options for the Kosher consumer, Gourmet Glatt is the place to shop. The bakery & meat departments have good quality (I didn't try the take-out, fish, and sushi departments).”
“This is a real super (place to) stop. That's especially if your palate is craving. We're talking, great staff, fantastic products and food, and great pricing. If your a real grocer, come here.”
“I’ve always been waited on quickly at check out . My experience with the staff is friendly and helpful with finding things I want. A great little store for those last minute items we need , I hope they stay in business at Lakewood location for a very long time .”
“Quick food service and it's reasonable and delicious. Friendly staff and all the extras you would expect in a quick mart with plenty of additional stuff as well. Coffee is good, fountain soda available as well as bathrooms. Vape selection looks huge as well”
“FoodeX is mamash one of those Lakewood spots where you walk in for “just two things” and walk out with a full cart, a receipt that needs its own cheshbon, and zero regrets. 😄
First of all—everything is clean, organized, and stocked. The aisles are packed with all the heimishe basics, plus those random “how did they get this?” items that you didn’t know you needed until you saw them. The produce section is usually looking fresh and geshmak, and the prepared foods are a lifesaver when it’s Erev Shabbos vibes and you’re running on 3 hours of sleep and a coffee.
The staff is generally helpful, and the whole place runs like a well-oiled machine—even when it’s busy and everyone’s doing the Lakewood last-minute shuffle. Bottom line: if you need a solid kosher supermarket with good selection and that familiar heimishe feel, FoodeX is a strong yes.”
“I go to your store at least once a week to get milk and various cleaning stuff and paper goo goods. I go to Jackson usually, Never have had a problem. Today I went to get several things and needed a cart. There were none outside, or inside . I settled for a few things a put them in the small basket. I am 75 years old and mentioned it the the blonde lady who checked me out. I told her the were no carts out side and it was pouring rain and I could no go looking for one because I was afraid of falling. She very nicelytold me that the next time I should bringmy kids to help me????. I won’t return to that store!”
