“I was just going to drop off a package for UPS, which is inside this great market. Then I saw the excellent Produce section and the Hair Care section, realizing this is the closest I've been to a 1-stop shopping place. They have a vast selection for every item one could need or want. And the prices are not bad at all (the 18-count cage-free brown eggs carton is $4.99 today). Better yet is the friendly and professional care given me by Miguela, the Customer Service Representative. She helped me with an exchange after a brief return/exchange store policy explanation, then promptly rang other items I picked. Please commend her on my behalf. Certainly I will be back here soon... ???”

Grocery Stores
“When I go here, I get through in no time, but I can't say the same for those who have a left sided gas tank. There is always a line for those with the gas tank on the left.”
“I always buy a lot of products, the application shows the countless products that the store has, it shows you where exactly on the shelf it is and if there is a product in the store.”
““S. Bertram: Where Klal Yisroel’s Food Comes From and Where My Heart Rate Permanently Increased by 30%.”
If you’ve never been to S. Bertram in Linden, let me prepare you:
This is not a regular warehouse.
This is not “I’ll just run in for two minutes and grab something.”
This is an adventure. A journey. A test of emunah, bitachon, and parallel parking skills.
? Pulling Into Tremley Point Road
The GPS says “arrived,” but your neshama says, “Are you sure about this?”
The road is so tight, by the time you get your vehicle through it, you’ve done teshuva for every aveirah since third grade.
You see the massive blue trucks lined up like they’re auditioning for Fast & Furious: Heimish Edition.
One guy behind you is backing in with the confidence of someone who clearly davens Vasikin daily.
? THE WAREHOUSE EXPERIENCE
Walk inside and boom — Arctic temperatures hit you like you walked into Me’aras Hamachpelah.
Even the workers are wearing fluorescent coats that look like they came straight from a high-visibility Simchas Torah hakafah.
The aisles are stacked higher than your rebbi’s expectations and colder than the mikvah on an Erev Shabbos in January.
But somehow — somehow! — they know EXACTLY where every item is.
Ask a question and the warehouse guy answers before you even finish:
“Oh yeah, shelf 12B, row 4, second pallet, behind the box with the ripped corner.”
How?
Ruach hakodesh, probably.
? THE STAFF — TACHLIS & NO NONSENSE
These people run the operation like a well-oiled machine.
They’re friendly, fast, and work with the efficiency of someone who knows there are 30 more trucks coming in behind you.
And the shipping guys?
Legends.
You hand them paperwork, they nod once, and disappear into the frozen tundra.
Five minutes later they return with exactly what you need like they just completed a secret mission.
? THE WAIT TIME
Sometimes fast, sometimes a bit longer —
But never boring.
You get to watch trucks do parking maneuvers that defy physics, gravity, and probably the Shulchan Aruch.
It’s like watching a live Broadway show called Les Misérables Drivers Trying to Back In.
⭐ BOTTOM LINE
If you’re in the food business, S. Bertram is the matzav.
Reliable, professional, packed, cold, and slightly terrifying —
Just like half the places we go for parnassah anyway.
You walk out with your order, a frostbite souvenir, and a sense of pride that you conquered Tremley Point Road and lived to leave a Google review.
HIGHLY recommended —
But maybe say a kapitl Tehillim before backing in.”
“Ever since I discovered this shop, I rarely buy produce elsewhere. The fruits, vegetables, and herbs are always fresh and full of flavor. There’s an impressive selection of international products and a wide assortment of teas. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is very friendly.”
“I have the duty to share this amazing Polish store discovered last weekend… I would have never expected to find Italian yummy snacks in this place! Biedronka looks like a small shop, but it’s pretty spacious. If you miss European items, such as: snacks, tea, with a small selection of cheeses… Also, you will find European detergents. Everything it’s at great prices. Please, check this place out. I truly enjoyed and I San pretty confident you will do, too.”
“The store its been always a great name same as the staff, the products from electronics to items for hobbies are great…. products for school is the important Key when school time is going to be near ….”
“I’ve used this awesome distributor for 10 years and they offer everything a business needs to operate. Besides great pricing they offer services unmatched by others. From their marketing team to the amazing salesman that go above and beyond for their customers. If you need anything poultry call MQF, nobody does chicken better than them.”
“Optical Services by Chris. We have gone to Costco, Lens Crafters, and a small shop within the Staten Island mall. Costco and Lens Crafters would not touch my wife's Fendi frames she owned. The small shop did, and my wife received them; they did not work correctly, and they stated that her prescription needed to be corrected, not the lens. We then went to BJ's and met Chris, and within a few seconds, he told us he could fulfill her prescription on her Fendi Frame. We waited while he finished up with another customer. During this time, I was looking at frames but wasn't there to purchase any due to just ordering my frames at Lens Crafters. Then I saw a deal to buy one frame, the second free, and found two that could work for me.While Chris helped my wife, I listened, realized Chris's knowledge and experience, and felt confrontable speaking to him about my two-frame going forward. At the end of the encounter, my wife had her frames ready to be processed, and I also had two pairs of frames processed. One frame was something I would have as a second pair, like the ones from Lens Crafters, and the other was a pair that Chris recommended for work only due to the amount of computer work I do, and progressives are the best type of glasses. I paid less than Lens Crafters for one frame with eyeMed insurance for the two I ordered at BJs. Granted, the frames are not Oakley, but the lens was much better on a few specs, such as a broader progressive angle and better-polarized transitions. The experience was so good we brought our two sons and purchased three more frames with Chris' help. We have all received our Glasses, and for every pair, Chris made sure comfort and proper expectations were done, and we are a happy family.”
“Was thrilled to find them open on Christmas Day. Friendly service.Sandwiches have generous amount of meat - but avoid the Salami, it was changing color around the edges. In general, check expiration dates here. I considered a bag of microwavable popcorn, but it was past its best date.”
“Hello I get all our snacks from this store and other things!! I shop at ShopRite all the time and now I don’t buy candies anymore!! This is a great store and the manager and his staff are amazing!!!!”
“Store was updated recently large self check out area added. Looks good . I've been to numerous ShopRites all over NJ some have butchers and better bakeries but I still find everything that I need at the Linden Shop rite. They carry many international items that you don't find in other ShopRites.”
“They rarely answer the phone ever and occasionally they might close for half an hour or so in the middle of the day, but they are very courteous when you actually go there and take their work seriously and in a professional manner. Ensure you have an appointment if you plan to get anything done.”
“Busy busy busy (as expected)!! But it more than makes up for busy-ness with its size. I love a good SUPER walmart. I rejoice today because my favorite (formerly discontinued) cereal is BACK ON SHELVES!!! The incomparable Waffle Crisp by post. So happy!! There were only 3 boxes left, I grabbed two. Some will understand why I am so geeked, others won't. Their loss! Lol IYKYK”
“Usually not busy, has just about everything we need and the prices are good. The only downside completing BJs to Costco is that you have to clip coupons to get the promotional price on items. At Costco, it's automatic so you don't have to worry about going into the app to scan your items and clip the coupon”
“I had an issue with the coconut spears in coconut water with pineapple syrup . It was the last jar on the shelf , it looked fine but when I bit the spear it was sour rotting an tasted a little like alcohol anyway I can get my money back or another jar when it’s restocked ?”
